HomeTVThe Young and The RestlessTraci Takes Jack to Task Over Phyllis on The Young and the Restless! Luke Kerr May 9, 2013 The Young and The Restless, TV Recap 33 Comments Michael (Christian LeBlanc) continued to insist to Paul (Doug Davidson) that Lauren (Tracey Bregman) is cheating on him. Meanwhile, Carmine (Marco Dapper) was at Lauren and Michael’s home with her. She told him their relationship no longer felt good, because she didn’t trust herself. Carmine said her feelings should tell her something about what she needs. Lauren shot back that she couldn’t give in to every impulse. Paul arrived and interrupted their discussion. Lauren and Carmine tried to cover, but Paul didn’t buy it for a second. He started to leave, but Lauren stopped him by saying she’d called it off. Paul told Lauren this behavior wasn’t her. Paul instructed his ex to tell Michael the truth and face the consequences. Tyler (Redaric Williams) and Leslie (Angell Conwell) grieved the loss of their father. Leslie seemed to take his death especially hard. Neil (Kristoff St. John) tried to help the siblings with the funeral planning. Cane (Daniel Goddard) took Lily (Christel Khalil) out for a special meal. He wanted to spend a romantic day with her. Unfortunately for the Aussie, Lily said she had an issue with the fashion line she had to attend to. Fen (Max Ehrich) told Summer (Hunter King) that Kyle (Hartley Sawyer) would never care for her the way she wanted him to. Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) overheard Jack (Peter Bergman) talking to Kyle about giving her a surprise. Kyle and Phyllis both wondered if Jack was planning to propose. Jack said that was getting the cart before the horse. After Kyle and Phyllis left the Abbott mansion, Traci (Beth Maitland) arrived with her luggage. She quickly got to the point of her visit — Phyllis! She grilled him about his feelings for his ex-wife. Jack made a great speech about how Phyllis was the only woman for him. Later, Traci went upstairs to unpack and discovered Jack had turned her room into Summer’s new room. Traci was shocked to learn Phyllis and Summer had both moved into the Abbott mansion. You mean to tell me there are so few rooms in that big, old house they had to convert a room for Summer? Michael poured out his feelings about Lauren to Phyllis. I'm glad to see this friendship getting back on track. Fen continued his spiral out of control. While Kyle was doing a bench press, he grabbed the bar and forced it down on him! The little sociopath-in-training warned Kyle to stay away from Summer. The best part of the episode was when Phyllis asked Traci how long she was staying in Genoa City and Traci responded, “Indefinitely”. 33 Responses Bartman202 May 9, 2013 Good episode on Wednesday – always happy when Beth Maitland comes back!!! The Lauren/Michael/Carmine story is kicking into high gear – can’t wait until Michael finds out Lauren has been doing the Mattress Mambo with Carmine!! The story can go so many ways – will Michael revert back to his former ways and get vengeance?? Log in to Reply hey mon May 9, 2013 Go Fen go. I’d rather see Max Uhrich as Fen on as a psycho-in-training morning, noon, and night, than see one minute of Mr Sawyer trying to act like Kyle Abbott. Log in to Reply stoney07 May 9, 2013 LOVED IT LOVED IT LOVED IT!!!!!!!!!! Wednesday’s episode was great. And Max Elrich is CRAZY good as Fen. I’m slowly warming up to NuKyle. I like NuAbby already which is surprising. I’d already decided to dislike the recast because I loved Emme Rylan. Traci’s “Indefintely” along with the hair flip was a CLASSIC moment to me. So unlike Traci, but just soooo great. Log in to Reply richalan67 May 9, 2013 Here’s to hoping Traci stays permanently. We need her as a female moral woman on the show. Love her. Carmine is going to use Fen to wreck havoc on Michael and Lauren. Carmine is a low-life snake. We are going to see how truly sleazy he is. Log in to Reply bishbay May 9, 2013 Didn’t they say that Beth Maitland is on for 50 episodes or was that just an estimate/manner of speaking? In any case, I like her and can’t wait to see her get involved with Lauren’s mess. Log in to Reply DanielAvery May 9, 2013 As much as I love me some Traci, I’m wary about her deciding to move home “indefinitely”. We all know what JFP does with female “moral compasses” of a certain age on shows she runs. Run, don’t walk, my dear Traci. Log in to Reply DanielAvery May 9, 2013 sorry, double posting Log in to Reply richalan67 May 9, 2013 The show is on fire and I believe that all of this hate on JFP is rubbish. Log in to Reply Yoryla May 9, 2013 ^^Bwahaa, yeah right! You’re conveniently forgetting there’s circa. 20 years worth of evidence. Log in to Reply pferrando May 9, 2013 One of the things that Maria did do well was have old faces pop into GC quite often. This is the first time we’ve seen Josh write in an old fav. I hope it continues. Please stick around Beth. I still remember the scene where it was revealed that Ashley wasn’t John’s daughter. Traci and Ashley were sitting at a restaurant table laughing and being sisters while someone (I think maybe Dina) sitting far away looking at them from the bar said something to the effect of…”I don’t ever want my daughter to find out she’s not John’s” while the camera closed in on the two on them and rested just on Ashley. So good. I wish Eileen would come back at the same time so they’d all be under one roof again. Log in to Reply yojoromo4469 May 9, 2013 I really like Beth Maitland/Tracy, I just wish she would put her hair back to her natural light brown color. I find her pretty, but the blond hair just doesn’t do it for me. I always find it hard be impressed with anyone with peroxided hair and she looks so much better natural. Log in to Reply Restless Fan May 10, 2013 I enjoyed seeing Beth back. Tracy is always a welcome addition anytime she’s on. I’m also glad we are moving into the next phase of the Lauren/Michael/Carmine saga. The Lauren/Michael scenes have been generally well written. As for Fen, he looked like a midget next to nuKyle. I’m not sure I would buy a scenario in which Fen attacked Kyle now. In any event Fen is definitely a creepy dude. Log in to Reply al0792 May 10, 2013 urgg, i know this was about Wednesday show but Thursday show sucked so badly.. why do the continue to throw Avery and Dylan I can’t act for nothing down our throats? Log in to Reply richalan67 May 10, 2013 I actually enjoyed Thursday’s show very much. While not a huge Dylan fan, I LOVE Avery! She is a breath of fresh air from the woman Nick has been with, especially that slut Phyllis. I am surprised that the Center for Disease Control hasn’t relocated to GC. Log in to Reply TraceyAbbot101 May 10, 2013 yaayy…. I am back home at the Abbott mansion and not a spare room to be found. Harlee: Log in to Reply harlee490 May 10, 2013 Loving Tracy back in mansion…and her room is taken…better put Kyle in the summerhouse…TraceyAbbott is home…loved the exchange between Phyllis & Tracy, Jack is standing tall on this… Who didn’t love Carmine’s reaction to Fen when Fen made a remark about “beating up the dude” at the gym…Carmine was like “really, I don’t think it was heading this way… >) Chestie Newman is going to use this to her advantage… Lauren\Michael, loved the Michael\Phyllis scenes, and Lauren\Paul Log in to Reply hey mon May 10, 2013 richalan67 — Why are you calling Phyllis a slut, and not almost every other woman in GC? Of course, one could never call the always beautiful Ashley Abbott a slut. Who, not only was a chemist, but a CEO, a mother, a great sister, and never slept around. And Dru was never a slut, either. If Phyllis is a slut, what is Chelsea? Sleeping with another man who has been in town for 3 weeks, and being 4 months pregnant. Creepy. Not to mention Dylan, ‘My Dad just died, so I’m going to bang up Adam Newman’s separated wife.’ Lauren is a what? I understand that Carmine has good pecs, good abs, and decent biceps; but she had a pretty successful marriage going on; and Michael is no lazy slouch at the gym, either. Log in to Reply Mets82 May 10, 2013 Nick is getting on my last nerve. I know he tries to be a good father and all but sometimes he just annoys me. Like with Avery. What more does he want from her? She wants to be with Nick, why cant Nick get that? She wrote him a letter. Im surprised he didnt ask her to write it in blood. Does anybody believe Fen would beat up Kyle? I mean, come on. Kyle would throw him threw a wall. Anyway, all this stuff thats going on between Micheal and Lauren is Fen’s fault anyway. He’s the one that got the ball rolling and started all this. I might have missed this scene but how is Micheal putting all this together. I mean “the mystery man” that he overheard while he was on the phone with Lauren could’ve been anybody. I would just like to know how Micheal got to the point where he found out Lauren was cheating? Log in to Reply richalan67 May 10, 2013 Hey mon, it was a joke. Hence the CDC comment. I just do not like the character, never have and never will. There are times when I truly find her overacting as well. When she puts her hands up to her face and goes into that little girl routine. It really does get on my last nerve. I think the only character on here who was never sluttish is Traci and mary Williams. However, do we REALLY know what Mary was like on those retreats she was going on???? Mets82… he found the cards with the note about how it all began. then yesterday he saw Carmine put down the matches from the same resort where Lauren got her pen. Log in to Reply hey mon May 10, 2013 Thanks for clarifying Mets82 Log in to Reply DanielAvery May 10, 2013 Wishful thinking: Michael dumps Lauren, who then makes Lauren’s head explode by dating Traci. Traci and I go way back, and it would warm my cold heart to see Traci getting one over on the ol’ heffa who made her miserable back in the day. It wouldn’t even have to be “real”–just Michael and Traci making a few public appearances that Lauren would see. That’d teach her! Log in to Reply hey mon May 10, 2013 DanielAvery — That would be classic. To see Lauren losing it all, and to see her nemesis form yester-year getting husband would be just desserts. Even though Lauren has paid dearly in her life by Sheila Carter, she never has been paid back by Traci. Log in to Reply RebeccaJ May 10, 2013 Not liking this Jack/Traci storyline AT ALL. Jack is not 15, he’s a big boy and he doesn’t need his sisters trying to run his love life. If he gets hurt, he’ll just have to deal. And why do I get the feeling Traci’s marriage is kaput and that’s why she’s REALLY there? Michael and Lauren’s “dialogue” these last few days have been absolutely MIND NUMBING. How many times did he ask her if she was having an affair and she side stepped so badly a five year old could tell she was lying. I LOVED IT when Paul said to her, ‘oh, run out of all the good excuses, eh?” when she told him she wanted ‘quotes’ from Carmine….LOL! Log in to Reply hey mon May 10, 2013 RebeccaJ — I was thinking the same thing about Tracy. Is her marriage over that she can stay indefinitely? Log in to Reply pferrando May 14, 2013 I’m loving all things Traci ( one of my all time Y & R faves) , Lauren and Michael. I think CLB’s Emmy winning reel (2013) was from last Friday’s show. This guy is something else! Log in to Reply TraceyAbbot101 May 14, 2013 Traci has turned into a bored, surburban housewive who wants to reconnect with her family back in Genoa City. Hmmmmn….. a Traci and Michael relationship… now that has never crossed my mind. Methinks she is gonna smack some sense into Chestie… depending on what olittle bombshells Kyle has in store for the family…. friends from Boston, you say? hmmmnnn…… meeting up at the Underground? verrrrrrry interesting. Log in to Reply pferrando May 15, 2013 Traci could easily be worked into GC. Being off screen for a long time gives her a TON of backstory. Backstory works well for a longtime Y and R character… Log in to Reply TraceyAbbot101 May 15, 2013 Loved the Lily/Chloe smackdown today! Log in to Reply hey mon May 15, 2013 Traci is not fit for back-story. She has always come across as somewhat stable. Throwing some serious malarkey back-story a la Dylan would be a negative. Log in to Reply ChrisGa May 15, 2013
Loved the Lily/Chloe smackdown today!
Loved those scenes; nice to see someone stand up to Hurricane Chloe considering her weak-ass husband can’t(the last couple of episodes have re-enforced my opinion that Kevin has long lived out his usefulness as a character–hopefully this will be the nail in that lifeless marriage). Pferrando–I’m with you on Traci. Definitely one of my all-time Y&R faves(along with Ashley of course–come home Ashley!). I’m intrigued to see exactly how Traci is gonna play into things; hopefully it’ll involve Lauren in some capacity. Log in to Reply pferrando May 15, 2013 hey mon…what I mean is keep her around, and use her time out of town to divulge to us what she’s been up to and why she’s really back. I’d love them to have her move back into the Abbott house and then drop the bomb that she’s not going back to NY. She was sooooo great again on today’s show. And the use of John, which I know some are opposed to, was so appropriate and touching. Peter B. tearing up like that and that quickly…what a pro. AND, I’m not hating Abby. I’ll always love Emme, especially was looking forward to her and Chavez getting it on, but at least this girl shows she can act, which I was fearful of. Log in to Reply ChrisGa May 16, 2013 Yeah, I gotta agree, I’m not hating nuAbby either; the girl’s actually a pretty good actress(I already think she’s better than Amelia Heinle, but I’m not getting started). And she seems to be settling in rather nicely with her onscreen sibs and other family members. She may lack the sheer charisma of Emme Rylan but I think she’ll end up being a pretty decent substitute. Log in to Reply harlee490 May 16, 2013 In all honesty I was very impressed with nuAbby today, she actually had lines and exhibited the same hyper attitude as ER. I loved the scenes between her & Victoria and with Tracy, Jack and John was a nice touch…when PB teared up I just felt a lump in my throat, John was happy. I want nuAbby in scenes w\Ashley….ugh! Tracy talking about her time she was addicted to diet pills and accident..flooded back memories that I forgot…I was oh hell yea! Such good story, her and weight problem & Danny\Lauren…wonderful, just wonderful use of history. Log in to Reply Leave a Reply Cancel Reply You must be logged in to post a comment.
