I would be happy to see either him or Doug Davidson win the award. Log in to Reply js3557 May 31, 2013 Jason Thompson Log in to Reply noway May 31, 2013 Doug D needs some love. Log in to Reply Danny Ricci May 31, 2013 Either Jason or Doug. Michael and Peter don’t really have much of a reel. Log in to Reply pennywise555 May 31, 2013 I think Jason Thompson has the best reel, Doug second, but think its silly for an award to be based solely on a few minutes. So all things considered I’d give it to Doug Davidson he deserves it. Log in to Reply richalan67 May 31, 2013 Doug Davidson is by far the very best of the bunch!! Log in to Reply NathanHastingsSr. May 31, 2013 J.T or M.M. Log in to Reply stoney07 May 31, 2013 Doug Davidson wins by a mile for me…. Log in to Reply pferrando May 31, 2013 Yeah…it’s gotta be Doug! Log in to Reply llanviewlover May 31, 2013 Definitely Doug Davidson. Jason’s was good, but it’s Doug for the win. Log in to Reply mango May 31, 2013 Doug Davidson. It’s nice to see him finally getting recognized. His scenes during the Ricky storyline were goosebump educing. Log in to Reply GHFan777 May 31, 2013 Jason Thompson for the win. He had me in tears. Log in to Reply Sadie39 May 31, 2013 Jason Thompson….no question! Log in to Reply mitch6225 May 31, 2013 Peter Bergman has no business in the race. You mean to tell me that DOOL and B&B had no leading men for this race, WTF?? Doug Davidson should win Jason Thompson will win Log in to Reply RealityCheck 33 May 31, 2013 JT or MM are clearly the two best reels. I like DD very much, but his performance is a bit over the top. JMO. BTW, why does that obnoxious HLN ad have to run everytime you try to watch? I’ll never watch that channel again. UGH. Log in to Reply Cornfed June 1, 2013 DD sobs in scenes where it’s not even called for, aka Jonathan Jackson. If DD has never won, sure he deserves. But like i said, the constant bawlers, hmmmm…. Log in to Reply SwanQueen59 June 1, 2013 Definitely Jason Thompson. He could so easily have gone over the top with this material. This was simply devastating to watch… 0:) Log in to Reply tashikins June 1, 2013 DD. Log in to Reply SassySoaper June 1, 2013 I really think MM deserves the win this year. JT would be my runner up, but MM was much better IMO. Log in to Reply DenverDean June 1, 2013 It doesn’t matter. JT will win because the other three will cancel each other out. Can’t wait for OLTL/AMC to be added to the mix. Log in to Reply Mets82 June 1, 2013 I think Doug Davidson should win this. I liked his scenes with and about Ricky. JT could win it as well. Well, I just skimmed through the reels. Davidson has this won. I mean him crying “I killed my son” at the very end, to me, seals it. Log in to Reply ldylkng June 1, 2013 Doug by a mile! I like them all, but Doug killed it! Log in to Reply Mel_O June 1, 2013 Jason Thompson. He had me bawling like a baby. But I wouldn’t count Doug Davidson out either. His reel was amazing. Log in to Reply twen_angst June 1, 2013 the writing in jason thompson’s reel could have made for really cheesy, sentimental scenes. instead, JT added subtlety and depth to it. as to doug davidson, gosh, frankly, it’s a bit much. if he hasn’t learnt by now that bawling and sobbing does not necessarily equal good acting, then, frankly, it’s too late… Log in to Reply hey mon June 1, 2013 I think that the Y&R will split the vote, leading to the guy from General Hospital winning. But I think that, despite his ‘reel’, Mike Muhney should win. Log in to Reply GHteenybopper June 1, 2013 I wish DD and JT could win in a tie, as long as MM doesn’t win I’m good lol Log in to Reply Duchess June 2, 2013 Definitely Doug Davidson! He ripped my heart out with that Ricky story on a daily basis. He’s been so good for so long on Y&R and it would be great to see him win a well deserved Emmy. Log in to Reply blake3b June 2, 2013 Doug Davidson or Michael Muhney Log in to Reply marknsprmo June 3, 2013 I think that Doug had the better reel. It showed more range. He should have been in tears and bawling at that point. Killing ones own child has to be a horrific situation to be in. He broke down with Nina not while being interviewed. I don’t think Doug is that weepy. But he does turn on the faucet when it’s necessary. He isn’t afraid to let it all hang out. I admire that. Jason’s reel was very good. It was nearly perfect but I would have liked to see just one more scene that showed some range. Getting angry or falling apart. Yes those scenes were heart breakingly well done. Controlled and subtle. It showed some great acting ability. Or it showed an actor that only has sullen and ill at ease as his go to style. Since I don’t watch GH that much and when I have, he only plays under the note and doesn’t change it up much, I am not sure how much range of acting he has. The other two Michael and Peter have had better material than what was offered. Michael’s was better than Peters. Heck I have seen better from Peter accepting the award!
