Stick a Fork in Kevin and Chloe on The Young and the Restless

Wednesday’s The Young and the Restless started out very ho-hum, as Billy (Billy Miller) and Victoria (Amelia Heinle) made pancakes for their son. Things ramped up a little when Lily (Christel Khalil) confronted Neil (Kristoff St. John) about the story about her from his stolen journal. Then it returned to ho-hum.

I love Greg Rikaart and Elizabeth Hendrickson separately, but the Kevin/Chloe pairing has gone from a nice, Crimson Lights latte to rotten, spoiled, curdling milk. The Young and the Restless needs to put a fork in this relationship — it's done.

At the police station, Kevin revealed he’d tracked the blogger’s IP address to Genoa City. Apparently the computer being used was in the business center at the Athletic Club.  Lily, Neil, Leslie (Angell Conwell) and Chavez (Ignacio Serricchio) took in the intel.

Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) woke up in snore-tastic Dylan’s (Steve Burton) arms. To quote Daytime Confidential reader Smitty on Twitter, “So Dylan bought a coffeehouse before he bought a bed...Jesus.”

Later, Dylan told Billy the money and the receipts weren’t adding up at the end of the day. Billy attempted to set up another card game, however, Victoria arrived with baby in tow. How long until she catches a clue about Billy being off the gambling wagon?

Ok episode. Just ok! My favorite show has got to be getting really disappointing when I look forward to seeing B&B from my DVR first. I guess the UCLA interns are in charge for the summer.

Kevin and Chloe never should of been put together romantically they just don't have the "IT" chemistry.

Kevin and Chloe, definitely need something and DYLAN needs to go to where ever the hell, he came from and stay there and be as dumb as dirt.

When the show opened up with Chelsea and Dylan on the floor of his house or whatever it is I was like what in the entire hell is going on. In what world do you buy a coffeehouse but you don't have a bed to sleep on. Am I crazy or does this just not make one bit of sense?

Kevin and Chloe are both great characters on paper but the material that is written for the two of them is horrid. Together they are painful to watch. those horrid flashes of them with the glitz and glammar just made me shake my head. Both of these characters haven't been written properly since about 2008/2009. At this point they should just be written out.

This show....I just am at a loss.

Yeah, at this juncture I would love to see Kevin and Chloe gone. Chloe was semi-tolerable--and still is occasionally, like when sharing scenes with Chelsea--but pairing her with Kevin has nearly destroyed the character. As for Kevin, the only two characters on the show I dislike more are Victoria and Tyler(yep, I actually like Dylan better than Kevin). I've said a million times and others have too--make Kevin gay, or at least bi, and find him a man. Sorry, but GR doesn't have it in him to pull off the chemistry necessary to be paired with a woman; it's not there now, and wasn't there with any other female they've stuck him with.

I always thought Chloe was one of the most generic characters on Y&R...she never had a personality to me.

I could not agree more.

I've also said it several times: Kevin needs to find a man. He just drips with this internal pull to find a real manly man to "tame" him. He's like this mischievous schoolboy, who needs a daddy to put him on his lap, spank him a few times and teach him a thing or two about life. I pictured this scenario happening wit Carmine a few times, but it never came to pass.

Get him a man, stat!

With Kevin, I guess that's why I liked it when Chavez messed up his hair.

But I doubt they'd ever go the gay route with him. He's been on too long.

I don't want them off the show, but I do want them apart. Both are great actors and both have potential for other storylines. And they also work well as supporting players for other characters. I think that's where we are headed.

Personally I don't need EVERY show to be full of action. I think May was a great sweep months, and it seems the show is moving forward which is good.

I'll take this over murders, kidnappings, trials, insta-weddings anyday.

I do think Chloe and Kevin have decent chemistry as friends but for Kevin I liked Jana and Chloe has good chemistry with Billy but they insist to keep him attached to Victoria.

I think Kevin and Chloe have been better as of late. I think her going to jail because of him was good and having her chew him out was very good.

I will say that I cant stand Chavez. He always got a wise ass comment or he's being sarcastic about something.

Today was a much better episode. Lots of veterans.

Adam and Sharon were hot. MAB hot. Especially when Adam took a hold of Sharon, and got semi-rough, romantic with her. Too hot. Reminded me of why I like Shadam, rather than Chadam (the baby factory).

You go Devon. Tell Lily the way that it is. I know Cane gas-lighted her, and pretended he was dead, but Tyler is up to no good, and is ultra-bad news. I know this, because my Lane-fanatic daughter told me this is true.

Fen, and more Fen. Each and every single eff-ing day I want Fen on this Show. So cocky, Michael and Lauren deserve a kid like this, because they have been so bad in the past.

Hate to say it, not enough Kyle on. If Kyle is going to be be the major shaker in Summer's paternity s/l, then the kid needs to be on more than once a week.

But much, much better than yesterday or Tuesday's episode.

Probably because Dylan was not on.

Not that I want to see an actor lose a role (and probably won't happen with mrs c passing) but I would prefer to see Kevin shot in the midst of either robbing or fleeing the scene and Chavez being the one who kills him.

The dramatic payoff for Chloe would be fantastic. The destruction of michael would be enormous. Gloria would be a wreck trying to hold it together.

And Chavez could get a meaty story.

Sorry.. With Adam n Chelsea, nick n Avery, billy n Victoria, jack and Phyllis, cane n lily, Devon and the girl from fresh prince, michael n lauren, even Kyle n summer I don't need another bad marriage/relationship.

Plus when Kevin loses he whines.

He is dispensible if it lends itself to great drama.

The billy story is dull and Dylan's is boring. Spot on with coffeehouse/bed comment. Why not have him do construction?

Seriously so he can open a coffee shop to be on screen ALL THE TIME?!!

Why do I think Chelsea is a cowardly BITCH and not the Alexis type but the Victoria Newman kind who is more selfish than Adam?!

I NEVER wanted kevin and Chloe together. This is the least romantic couple in daytime. Also, their falling in love came out of nowhere. Totally unrealistic and unromantic (if there's such a word). Kevin and Janna had better chemistry...but you know what happened with that. I for one will be happy to see this couple split up but continue to friends because that's where the chemistry really is - in just being best friends and co-conspirators.

Oh, I forgot to mention: what the heck is up with Dylan. Seems Steve Burton is playing Jason all over again. There's no reason Dylan should be as dull as he's being portrayed. I like Steve Burton but I thought this was a chance to play something else on another soap than one he play for almost 20yrs. Please spice up this character. He has no personality.

I liked Chlot and Kevin's friendship but taking it beyond that level was a big mistake. It's just not there. What is worse is that the writers still haven't wisened up to this fact and continue to let them flounder. Of course the writing for Chloe/EH has been awful lately. She is either being sacrificed at the altar of Chelsea or stuck in Chipmunk land. She used to interact with more of Genoa City.

I loved me some Chilly. With Billy actually growing a pair I would love for Chloe and Billy to reunite. Maybe Billy would realize he doesn't have to be the Newman Lapdog. Free Billy and Chloe from their lame partners and give them some decent material. They both actually look alive in scenes together.

Ummm... I just finsihed watching Thursday's episode and I got a great PRIDE VIBE from the whole thing!

Now, I've moved sofa beds in my day and I can tell you I HATED DOING IT and thought to myself the second time around... "if you are throwing the damn thing away then unscrew the bed from the sofa!"

DUH

But to see Tyler take off his shirt after only moving the bed 2 to 3 feet from it's origin while Noah sat on the sofa MADE me think "Is Noah gay?!"

Then add in Carmine and Fen's odd attraction to him and I'm thinking "Is fen gay?"

Otherwise, When did Jack sell his stock in Newman?

Yes, and to add insult to injury Dylan rushes out and buys a freaking SOFA BED. Good idea. What gets me is the dude bought a warehouse and yet his entire living space seems to be confined to one lousy room.
