I don’t know if it was meant to be a campy series, but Susan Lucci over-acted her ass off! She was chewing more scenery than termites in a woodshed!

And what was odd was that the rest of the show was more grounded in reality. Like a dramady. But her scenes were just over-the-top. I think that is why it might have not been picked up by ABC. That scene alone would make any network brass rethink things.

On the other-hand I thought the series overall was good. And it is great addition to television for the diversity efforts needed.

I only watched a few minutes…part way through Susan’s scene…and david46208 is right. Susan was over-acting to the hilt. But maybe that’s what she’s supposed to do, be comic relief? We’ll have to see.

I prefer watching on my TV/DVR, so I didn’t watch the whole thing, but I’ll give it a shot. It usually takes 2-3 episodes for a series to really get rolling.
