HomeTV40th Annual Daytime Emmy AwardsNancy Lee Grahn Readies Daytime Emmy Comedy Bits Luke Kerr June 14, 2013 40th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards, All My Children, Awards Central, Days of Our Lives, Daytime Emmys, General Hospital, HLN, One Life to Live, The Bold and the Beautiful, The Young and The Restless 2 Comments General Hospital’s Nancy Lee Grahn has been moonlighting on a special project for this year’s Daytime Emmy Award show. TV Guide Magazine caught up with Grahn, who dished about the project and teased what’s in store for Emmy night. TV Guide Magazine: You did Tweet at one point that you were shooting down on Hollywood Boulevard. Taking your life in your hands for your art? Grahn: We were shooting there guerilla-style with these pop lock dancers who were doing all this very bizarre, body-contorting s–t that you just can't believe. One guy held an Emmy and turned his arm 360 degrees — the kind of stuff that makes the judges squirm on So You Think You Can Dance. We also shot me going down Hollywood Boulevard with a red wagon full of Emmys trying to give them away. I'm, like, "I've taken the liberty of stealing Emmys from those who have so many to give to those who have none. Who wants Alex Trebek's?" We shot so much that a lot won't make it into the show. Nary a soap name. I have been on team I-don’t-care-about Katie since the late 90’s, but I did like her when Howard Stern interviewed her a few weeks back. Unfortunately that doesn’t translate when she is the host. I tuned in and could not sit through that mess of a show. Log in to Reply pferrando June 18, 2013 These spots were awful. I still can’t figure out what the hell HLN was doing with this show. Just awful. Log in to Reply Leave a Reply Cancel Reply You must be logged in to post a comment.
