Forget The NSA or PRISM, Todd is Watching Llanview on One Life to Live

Matthew (Robert Gorrie) dropped by Bo (Robert S. Woods) and Nora’s (Hillary B. Smith) with his laundry, and to share a meal. What he didn’t realize is the meal was a set up for him to spend time with Destiny (Laura Harrier). Matthew didn’t seem too happy when Destiny showed up at the door. The two started arguing about Drew.

Matthew called David (Tuc Watkins) to come by as reinforcements. David didn’t want to, because he was going to show Dorian (Robin Strasser) moves “he learned on the internet.” When he hung up with Matthew, David asked Dorian to come with him. All of a sudden, the family dinner got a whole lot bigger.

Why did I feel bad for Matthew? He’s a deadbeat dad, but yet, I still felt empathy for the situation his parents keep putting him in.

Todd (Roger Howarth) dropped by Shelter to visit Blair (Kassie DePaiva), who didn’t have time for him. However, he insisted he had something he needed to show her.

Natalie (Melissa Archer) was served papers. Natalie immediately called Tea (Florencia Lozano) because John (Michael Easton) was suing her for negligence, and custody of their child. Tea promised to figure out what was going on, and reassured Natalie everything would be all right.

Viki (Erika Slezak) and Clint (Jerry verDorn) shared a meal at Shelter.  Clint tried to reassure Viki, who was panicking about losing her money in the Pellegrino Fund.  Jeffrey (Corbin Bleu) interrupted them by saying there was something wrong at The Banner, but he had a solution. Jeffrey pitched himself to Viki as the next Ezra Klein.

Natalie met her parents at Shelter, where she told them what John was doing. As they were eating, she got a call from Tea. The legal eagle revealed John was suing Natalie because of a restraining order, and a Dear John letter she had allegedly issued.

After their children cleared out, Bo helped Nora prepare for her online radio show.

The episode ended with Todd taking Blair to show her evidence he shielded Blair with his body when she was shot at.

I understand how Todd has a room filled with monitors because video rooms are an old soap trope.

BUT, it’s 2013 can’t he just look at the video feeds on his iPad?, does he really even need multiple monitors, let alone a whole room? doesn’t he live in a hotel, does his landlord know he installed a video room?

Lastly, if he doesn’t employ someone to monitor the feeds how does Todd know what’s going on around town since he’s not in the room to see it?

@sodsince16: I cosign that message. There has to be believability on a “cutting edge” soap. Monitors in a secret room is not “cutting edge.” smartphones and iPads are. :~

So how does the hair thing work? When has RoHo stopped filming OLTL? Has he, or is he still recurring there? How will they explain a blonde Todd?

As I understand it, RoHo spent four weeks shooting OLTL (after Todd left Port Charles), then he returned to GH where they dyed his hair and debuted him as Franco.

Those four weeks at OLTL will probably be his last. ABC has him under contract and the OLTL appearances were a concession granted to Prospect back when both sides were still trying to work things out amicably.

Can’t you just hear all 3 of them, “We’ll confuse everybody! We’ll all change our hair”! Todd, you’re now a blond, Starr, you’re now a brunette, and McBain, you wear your cute little ponytail! WOW I certainly can’t even believe they’re the same 3 people, can you? LOLLLLLLL
For that matter why is Franco a blond at all? His mother (Susan), father (Alan) and brother (Jason) were all brunettes.
Brunettes can have blonde children (Jason was blonde), though it’s not likely. Blondes can’t have brunettes, which is why Laura should have known Nikolas wasn’t Stefan’s child. More importantly, original Franco is a brunette, so why would he be a blonde now?
