HomeTVDramaNetflix Orders Second Season of Hemlock Grove Jenna Dorsi June 20, 2013 2 Comments The Netflix original series Hemlock Grove has been renewed for a second season. Based on the supernatural teen novel of the same name by Brian McGreevy, it premiered on the movie rental site last April. Hemlock Grove focused on the mysterious happenings of a small Pennsylvania town, which included vampires, werewolves, Frankenstein’s monster-like creatures, and lots of grisly murders. The second season will have a new showrunner in Charles Eglee (The Walking Dead). It will continue to be executive produced by horror-helmer Eli Roth (Hostel). Said Roth: The worldwide fan response to Hemlock Grove was phenomenal. Netflix members loved the potent combination of sexy monsters, mystery, and the dark family soap opera that ended with a huge twist, leaving audiences worldwide totally shocked. Season One was just a warm up for what we have in store for Season Two. Get ready to be scared in ways you never expected. The gothic soap will return for 10 episodes in 2014. There are some really intriguing threads n the canvas of HG but they never fully connected in season one. Here is hoping that the new show runners can add a bit more oomph to the show.
