What kind of drama will the hunky medic stir up in Genoa City? Watch a sneak peek after the jump! 31 Responses TraceyAbbot101 July 3, 2013 Dylan take note : Now THAT’S a man, baby…. Log in to Reply LaDivaYR July 3, 2013 ^^^^ Agreed! That’s what a real man looks like and acts like. No spray tanning, no eyeliner, no prancing around in tight t-shirts… DAYUM!!! Stitch is the shot of TESTOSTERONE this sorry show needs! Log in to Reply Yoryla July 3, 2013 Omg, who cares! Log in to Reply hey mon July 3, 2013 Seems likes a good character for once from JFP. Log in to Reply tmac July 3, 2013 Not to be nitpicky but Stitch already made his debut at the coffee shop a few days ago. Log in to Reply Cornfed July 3, 2013 Ohhhhhhh, i get it, this guy is supposed to FURTHER LIGHTEN UP THE ULTRA SERIOUS STEVE BURTON! *eyeroll* Once again, too many of the wrong characters hogging screen time on Jill’s Y/R. It’s been all about the men since Jill’s thrown a bachelor party bash on every damn show she’s run. SO.PREDICTABLE! Log in to Reply NathanHastingsSr. July 3, 2013 With all of the recasts and new characters , this looks like an ABC soap smh. Log in to Reply Yoryla July 3, 2013 “Stitch” is NOT a name! Log in to Reply bishbay July 3, 2013 I’m really glad that they’ve given SBu/Dullan someone else to interact with. He’s not on nearly enough. Sigh. Both GH and Y&R are in such terrible trouble. JFP needs to go–it barely needs repeating at this point. But I’m afraid that Josh Griffin does, as well. At GH, Carlivati should have been replaced months ago. Valentini I still have some hope for, but if he continues to fall down in the performance of one of his primary job functions–having a vision for the show that’s both sustainable and entertaining, and making his HW write to that vision–I think he’s going to have to be thrown out, too. Log in to Reply yojoromo4469 July 3, 2013 Gee and I thought MAB was bad. Most of these new characters have no talent and they seem to get all the screen time. Even the great music is gone. Show is on its way to complete ruin. I see no need for this new guy, Dylan gets on too much already. Log in to Reply SwanQueen59 July 3, 2013 “Stitch”? The only time I recall hearing that used as a name for anyone was for Disney’s “Lilo and Stitch”…. 0:) Log in to Reply ChrisGa July 3, 2013
Dylan take note : Now THAT’S a man, baby….
Seconded. Amazing how someone can walk on and in one day become the hottest guy on the show. Take notes, indeed…… Log in to Reply Cornfed July 3, 2013 Bishbay said it all, and that seconds what i said yesterday. GH and Y/R are in freefall, and i’m concerned… “See Steve smile. See Steve laugh! See, he’s not Jason!” It’s all so lame. Let’s hire a comic no one’s heard of, on the cheap! WHO CARES! It’s all about the money i’m afraid…Kim Zimmer said it all in her Delaware County Times interview posted on this site! Log in to Reply pennywise555 July 3, 2013
With all of the recasts and new characters , this looks like an ABC soap smh.
I know right? It’s like a new soap within Y&R. New character Stitch is sitting around talking to new character Dylan with new character Chelsea, and none of them have any connection to anyone on canvas. Then in walks the connection, recently ret-conned Phyllis insta-sister Avery to add to the drama. What drama? I have no idea, but to be fair it wouldn’t matter if they were discussing a murder, a war, a corporate takeover, infidelity, or the second coming because NONE of them really matter since they are all strangers, and not one of them has a connection to a core family or the larger GC story. My interest in them is similar the interest I have in the folks pictured in a new frame I just bought. Log in to Reply Mel_O July 3, 2013 Wouldn’t it be great if his character took off, became a fan favorite, and Dylan was eventually ushered off? I’m so over Dylan and Chelsea it’s not even funny. They have moments of cuteness but aside from that there is not a damn thing interesting about these two. Log in to Reply Ryan-Scott July 3, 2013 He’s a cutie but is he necessary? Hmmm… Log in to Reply hey mon July 3, 2013 Lets wait till he gets his shirt and pants off, so that we can critique his workout regimen. There are enough non-acting bodies on here already. Log in to Reply LaDivaYR July 3, 2013 Hey Mom, if Stitch was naked I wouldn’t be critiquing his workout regimen… LOL!!! I’d be too busy admiring lots of other things! Log in to Reply FoxCrane July 3, 2013 The scene with Stitch, Dylan, Chelsea, and Avery reminded me that I have to remind myself that I’m watching Y&R, or at least what passes for Y&R. She doesn’t and she won’t. I can’t understand why all these newbies are in SLs together. And no, making these newbies friends with core characters is not a connection to the canvas. At least Tyler, Leslie, and Melanie are giving SL to vest and core characters connected to core families. But this cluster of Dylan, Chelsea, Stitch, and Avery sitting together and talking is like watching 4 days players having a conversation. Not may people care all that much. Log in to Reply hey mon July 4, 2013 Tell it everyone. Tell it! And let’s face it. Stitch is not that good looking. Log in to Reply yojoromo4469 July 4, 2013
Tell it everyone. Tell it! Log in to Reply RebeccaJ July 4, 2013 Hot, hot, hot. He’s a keeper and much better than that cranky Tyler. Tyler *could* be the next Shemar IF he worked that smile and stopped acting like a petulant five year old. Log in to Reply wasabi July 4, 2013 All the hate for the new characters reminds me of my reaction back in the day when the Brooks and Foster families were shoved aside to make way for Victor Newman and the Abbotts. I kept hoping some of them would return to the show, but no such luck. I think the big difference now is that they’ve brought in far too many new faces at once (both new characters and too many recasts), and most of the changes have been boring. Adriana… meh. Glad she left. Her brother is sometimes tolerable, but why is he still in town? New-Abby is a yawn. I think Stitch has a likable personality, and is a big improvement over some of the other recent additions. Chelsea is far more interesting than Victoria, so I wouldn’t be bothered if she decided to take an extended trip out of town. A retread of Billy’s gambling addiction and Victoria whining and moping is not what I want to see. And I keep hoping Steve Burton will perk up more. The moments he smiles and seems to be relaxing are nice, and too infrequent. How about some scripts with something to play? Right now pretty much everyone is miserable. (Chelsea has a glimmer of happiness with Dylan, but the truth is just waiting to burst that bubble at any moment, so that can’t last.) What happened to the days when storylines were balanced with some characters in good places while others were in upheaval? If they’re going to bring in new people, at least bring in some happy ones. Maybe Stitch can save the day. And turn out to be related to one of the core families. Log in to Reply hey mon July 4, 2013 Actually, when one re-watches the scenes with Stitch, one really appreciates the guy. He actually makes the scenes involving Dylan bearable and tolerable to watch. In fact, Stitch should be in every scene Dylan is in, to give him some depth and humanity. Josh & Jill could have done this with Dylan’s Dad in April, but instead decided he would show up for one show, and then die — giving us nothing about Dylan’s true personality. Hopefully Stitch is staying around, so that we can get to know Dylan, a guy who is on almost every day, a bit better. Log in to Reply tedew July 5, 2013 Yorla … thou doth protesteth too much! Don’t miss that Stitch is only a nickname and may actually be not all that uncommon. However … too bad those two roles weren’t switched; except of course Avery and Dylan (unfortunately and to our disdain) are quite perfectly matched. But what I wonder most about right now is why I’ve seen naught in here about Greg Rikaart’s recent “revelation”?!?! Log in to Reply Yoryla July 5, 2013 tedew, No I don’t. I want my soap characters to have real names. It’s one thing to have a term of endearment from someone like Jack calling Phyllis “Red”, but they needn’t be introduced that way. And also, if the guy had a real name and was connected to someone I care about, like be Nikki’s long lost son and/or Jill’s boytoy on the downlow with some substance, then we could talk. It doesn’t matter one iota if he’s likeable as a character, or hot, when he’s connected to a non-entity. There has been a forum posting on the side about Greg R. I guess many don’t seem to think it’s really “news” since it’s been one of those public secrets people have known for ages. Log in to Reply pferrando July 8, 2013 Hey mon…I second your motion to get his shirt and pants off. While the LAST thing YR needs is yet another SB supporting character or ANY new character for that matter…this dude is hot. And he can act. Phelps better be careful not to put them in too many scenes together…Maybe Sony/CBS will take notice. And Yoryla, I’m with ya. What’s his name. Then we can learn his nickname. Stich. Bleh. After reading these posts, maybe I’ll try and watch him next time he comes on…but no promises! Log in to Reply Leave a Reply Cancel Reply You must be logged in to post a comment.
