General Hospital: Perkie's Observations

Dr. Chu explains to Mac and Felicia that Maxie started hemorrhaging, but she’s a fighter. They managed to stabilize her, and she's now in recovery.

Ellie tells Spin the baby is his and Maxie’s, and explains the baby was conceived on New Year’s Eve.  She tells him no one knew the truth, but Maxie and Britt. She found out because she investigated Maxie's files, and Maxie admitted the truth.  Spinelli questions why she lied.

AJ confronts Connie, and accuses her of ruining his life and all he built.  Connie tells AJ he’s not thinking clearly. She manages to call Sonny on her phone, but AJ hears Sonny’s voice and throws her phone away.  Connie apologizes for the impact the story had on AJ, and begs him to think of Michael.  AJ claims Michael doesn’t love him. He remembers Connie dared him to get payback, and he promises he will this time.

Dante doesn’t like the name Jacquelyn, since it reminds him of Spinelli. He would prefer they pick a different name.  Lulu mentions the name Georgie, and how often Maxie used it.  Dante wonders if Lulu’s worried about Maxie's attachment to the baby.  Lulu thinks Maxie will back off now that the baby is born.

Olivia continues to see the dog poster, and is certain it means something regarding the baby.  She wonders why it’s showing up now.  Olivia starts pressing elevator buttons, and the elevator stops.  Sonny tries talking to Connie, but loses service. Then, he starts to panic about being stuck.

Derek is shocked to hear he’s the match they’ve been looking for, since he’s not related.  Alexis asks if he’s prepared to go through with the surgery, and Derek is happy to help.  Sam thanks him, and heads off to find Silas.

Michael finds the empty bottle and the newspaper article at the mansion, but not AJ.  Kiki arrives looking for Franco, but finds Michael instead. They have a chat about their respective fathers. He spots the open safe, but isn’t sure what AJ would have wanted.  Kiki feels badly AJ lost ELQ because of her.  Michael and Kiki share a moment, until Kiki gets a call from Morgan.  She stresses Morgan is her husband, and is there for her. Kiki storms off.

Maxie wakes up in recovery, and asks her parents where Georgie is.  Felicia explains about the Maxie's complications, but she’ll be fine.  Maxie came back for her baby, and demands to know her whereabouts.  Both Mac and Felicia explain the baby is with Lante, who are her biological parents.  Maxie continues to insist the baby is hers, and Spin is the father.  Dr. Chu gives Maxie a sedative to calm her down, while Maxie claims she wants her baby.

Olivia manages to calm Sonny down, and have him focus on her. He appreciates the effort she put into getting him to settle down.  When the elevator doors finally open, Sonny heads off to find Connie, while Olivia decides to head back to check on the baby.  In the elevator, she has a vision of blood pooling on the floor.

Alexis thanks Derek again for helping them, and explains everyone was tested except for Sam’s father. She tells him the details of Sam’s conception, while Derek begins to look as though he understands the story.

Spinelli is angry with Ellie for keeping the truth from him.  Ellie admits she thought she would lose him to Maxie.  Spin realizes this is why she changed her mind about having children, and doesn’t understand how she could allow Lulu and Dante to keep his child.

Lulu and Dante hear Spin yelling at Ellie, and confront them. They ask what the argument is about.

Michael is there when a drunken AJ stumbles into the mansion.

Sonny finds Connie on the floor, shot.

Giant kudos to Kirsten Storms. She did excellent work yesterday with Lindze and again today with John J and Kristina. Loved when she was begging her parents to let her go find her daughter. This will be a heartbreaking story for Lante.

William DeVry is a hottie! There's just something about him. Loved the look on Julian's face as Alexis is telling the story and he's realizing what it means.

Poor Connie.

Spinelli stop yelling at poor Ellie. Ellie, dumped his worthless butt and find someone worthy of your wonderfulness.

So, Yes. Yes I've been watching. And I will continue to watch until my Robin finally comes home, but that's besides the point! General Hospital is FINALLY getting more bearable to watch! First wanted to start off with the amazing performances given to us by such talented people!

Kirsten Storms, Brad Anderson, Emily Wilson, Emme Rylan, Dom Zamprogna, Maurice Benard, Tony Geary, Genie Francis, John J. York and Kristina Wagner need to be reckognized as some of the most talented actors on GH. All of them were just top notch during this baby storyline, and I feel nothing but impressed and overjoyed that the secret finally came out! Bringing back Lindze Letherman as Georgie just completed the whole thing, and I am just so happy.

Sean Kanan, another brilliant performer. I felt like knocking out AJ through my TV Screen-- though I didn't feel like buying a new TV, so I decided to keep cool. You know that an actor is a great performer when their performance gives the audience the ability to really feel some raw emotions towards their character. Kanan did that for me this past week, great job!

Kelly Sullivan, my darling. I will miss her so. I will miss Connie Falconeri/Kate Howard. The DID story was a bit much, but Sullivan's performance as Kate/Connie was top notch, and still can't for the life of me see why the would decide to write the character off. I fear the worst. Sonny and Olivia pairing, anyone? Blech. No Thank You.

So I also fear it's the last we see of Holly for a little bit. But I also see her returning for the big reveal of Robin-- she just has to be a part of it. I love Emma Samms-- a beautiful, delightful actress and so full of passion!

I'm sorry! Is it just me? I REALLY don't have patience for Maura West or her character Av-ICK! Not feeling her at all. Kristen Alderson (Kiki) is warming up a little bit on me-- still not feeling Howarth as Franco or Easton as Clay. It's just not working out for me.

All in all, it was a great week; and great performances by most involved! Have a great weekend everyone!

This was a great week. I still skipped over Franco and Kiki, but I loved pretty much everything else.

BA was WONDERFUL as was KS! I absolutely loved them!

Sooooooooooooo, bare with me now, is "The Britch" Evil (and I know y'all can't stand to hear that LOL!) pregnant with Dante and LuLu's baby?!?! Shock I kinda got that feeling when she was at the police station the other day. Is that a possibility? Puzzled I can SO see Dr. O hooking that up! Hmmmm.....

It was a great week.

Unless they're getting rid of AJ Connie's shooting was too obvious. I thought they would set up a big murder mystery. But Derek(who would have been an obvious choice)has an alibi. So other than AJ, who else could have shot her? Ava, yes. Franco? he's missing from the hospital. But he has no real motive.
And, as I mentioned yesterday, Franco's awake. Ava has no control of his shares now.

Kiki lost her spunk. When the character first came on she was headstrong and spunky. Now she's kind of a doormat. And proclaiming "Morgan is a good husband" because he went to the hospital. C'mon.

Love the speed of the Maxie baby reveal. This should be over relatively soon. Just takes a blood test. Of everyone I think Olivia might take it the worst. She is strung so tightly.

I feel bad for Ellie--even though I think she could do so much better than Spinelli.

Kelly Sullivan, my darling. I will miss her so. I will miss Connie Falconeri/Kate Howard. The DID story was a bit much, but Sullivan's performance as Kate/Connie was top notch.

I agree. Was a fan from the start and will miss her a lot. She got a terrible rap from some fans, but Ms. Sullivan had to switch on a dime when Carlivati/Valentini decided to go through with the DID storyline which was conceived under Garin Wolf and was supposed to be a slower buildup, if I recall correct. While a lot of that writing was shaky, I give Ms. Sulluvan major credit for giving her entire run her all. I'll miss her too and hope for great success for her, just like my Brianna Brown who was hated on as an actress her character of Lisa Niles, but has gone on to very respectable success in prime time. Viva la Sullivan!

What a bummer. I was hoping for a BSC story where we saw DID Connie, Heather, and a few more cray cray escape from Ferncliff to wreck havoc all over PC in a few years.

Spinelli? STFU!

I am so glad that Ellie pointed out that she forgave Spinelli for sleeping with Maxie on New Year's Eve, but did not forget! I like Ellie. She deserves a new man and that is not Spinelli.

Maxie is a twit.

What the heck is up with AJ not going to Franco to try and win his votes away from Tracy instead of getting drunk?

Connie is an idiot. Why call Sonny and not 911?

Lawd. It looked like Olivia was about to mount old Sonny in the elevator to keep him from soiling his undies during his panic attack. Ewwwww.

Derek is hot. Damn. What a waste that he's Sam's father. Are we sure that Alexis was sixteen when she slept with Derek and not the other way around?!

It would be really neat if Felecia had a late in life pregnancy with Mac finally having a biological child of his own. There was a time when I thought Ewen should have turned out to be Mac's son or a Jacks.

Bradford Anderson did an excellent job in these scenes. Kudos! Loved the fact that Spinelli finally knows, and now once he gets through the fact I know he will be agonizing with how and when to tell the news to Lante. My fear is, Maxie and/or Ellie somehow get to him and he won't at all...

Sidenote: All this kudos to KS, but virtually none for BA/Spinelli? I'm sorry, but he was on fire today. Have to wonder about all this hate for Spinelli.

Glad Ellie was the one to tell the truth, that might at least save something between them in the future.

The AJ thing is still ridic. And the fact of the matter is that even though he didn't kill Connie, he went in a drunken haze to threaten her with a gun. That's at the least irresponsible.

So, after keeping this secret for some 20+ years and being so ashamed about it, Alexis now decided to spill EVERYTHING on Sam's father to a virtual stranger she just met??? Umm, yeah. Not really buying that one...

Loved the elevator scenes. Loved that they remembered Sonny's claustrophobia, and loved Olivia's visions. They can seem cartoonish at times but I like the hidden meaning. They're not too obvious. Also, still like Solivia, although I do think it's a bit convenient for them to have Connie now die.

I have really enjoyed the show this week. I thought that many of the actors deserved gold stars for their scenes.

I agree with CarsonGH111 that when a actor has made you feel raw emotions...even if that is disgust and anger, he has done his job...AJ did that for me. I wanted to punch him out.. LOL and then slap some sense into him.

No one dropped the ball...MB was fantastic with his panic attack in the elevator, as was KSu in her fear with AJ...Spinelli, Ellie and Maxie...broke my heart...Kudos for the tears you brought to my eyes.

I am loving Derek...He is so dam hot...I am also loving just how friendly and interactive WdV is being on Twitter...he seems like such a nice guy.

All in all this was a banner week for GH...Now if they could just get rid of a few of the weak links...namely Franco and Sabrina....and bring back my Scorpios...namely Robert and Robin...I would be a happy girl.

CURACAOMAN... I SECOND YOU WOOOOOOOOF!!!

Honestly, I wish there were more gay men who looked like him AFTER PLASTIC SURGERY.

As for the episode, it's like I am watching a totally different show from a few weeks ago. Even last week with THE FLASH DR O. and her time warp travel. LOL

It hit it on all points! And I guess so I wouldn't have a heart attack from all the good juicy sexy drama (sexy= DeVry), they threw up... I mean threw in... Franco and Kiki on 2 days to calm me down and remind me this isn't MASTERPIECE THEATER, that's its Port Charles.

Loved the entire entire when Kiki wasn't there. I will have to say I found Alexis spilling Sam's paternity so quickly a bit odd. A "we tested the whole family and no one was a match. Her Father is none existent in her life so we couldn't test him" would have been better. That darn "Chatty-Cathy" ALexis!

Someone just said that they miss the original SPUNKY KIKI and I think I have to agree. Of course, Aldersen wasn't that great as a 'bitchy new yorker' but it least a triangle with the Corinthos duds ... I mean dudes... would be more believable if we thought Kiki was manipulating them. Morgan for the sex and Michael for the money. That would be a better angle since then Carly would have a reason to hate Kiki and then it would pit her and Ava against one another.

(Sadly, Aldersen was better as a bitch at 8 or 9 years old when she kept that hotty tied up to a wheel on OLTL)

MORE DEVRY.

One thing that I believe GH needs to do is to BALANCE out the characters to give them more dimension and longevity on the show. We're fans and we're smart so we can decipher whether someone is to be a BAD guy or a GOOD guy and have no problem with the character balance between both sides.

It makes watching soaps more interesting.

Right now, Derek/Julian is a combo of ruthless business man and nice guy. Ava is a strong evil woman coupled with the motherly protective instincts she has for her brother and daughter kiki (sure, we have NO absolute idea why should would tell her daughter a crazy pyscho killer is her daddy and not a respected doctor). These two could become legacy characters if they are not taking down a path that only leads to death. It's not smart and becomes cartoony.

Look at Britt, until she opened up to Male Nurse Busy-body about her family and then started to orbit in the Casadine world, NO ONE LIKED HER but now one could say we are balancing between Love and Hate for her WHICH is great!!

These dimensions in characters are what is needed on soaps and especially on GH.

These characters are all one note - DANTE: GOOD COP. ANNA: GOOD COP. LUKE: DRUNK. TRACEY: SPOILED. AJ: IDIOT. CARLY: LOUD PROTECTIVE MOMMA. SONNY: BULLY. So we need characters that can offset them so there is a better mingling of people throughout town.

I'm throwing this out there because I haven't seen anyone mention it yet, but Franco is missing and he is angry about not being Kiki's dad and is ALSO CRAZY.

Why isn't anyone saying that FRANCO killed Connie? He had just as much of a reason to kill Connie as a drunken AJ because both weren't of sound mind. As for AVA, I don't see her motive until they explain why Silas was not told he was Kiki's dad and Franco was. Unless Silas is an 2000 year old vampire like his brother, than I don't think any motive Ava has would be enough to kill a person and hope they don't make it her.

Anyone think it might just be Coleman they make the killer? I mean he is off contract and has not been seen for a long time now. The writers are not invested in bringing him back so they may just make him the killer.

Has anyone also wondered if Heather may of been the killer? Heather would be upset that Connie hurt her dear Franco.

I loved Spinelli going off on Ellie LiarLiarPantsOnFire. She completely deserved it and I hope he does the same to Maxie. (And I like both girls.)I think Ellie & Michael should hook up.

I don't have any f*cks to give about Sonny's clausterphobia or Olivia's visions. None.

I could look at WdV ALL day!

Franco has no motive? He has the same motive as AJ. Connie is the one that wrote the story that blew his "new" life apart.

Spinelli is Damien now. That's boys performance was Emmy worthy. This episode was so good in many ways. The cliffhangers went from CBS to ABC with Jill going to the safe on Y&R, to the Forrester's waiting to see what happens with the HFTF line, to Lante wondering whats going on outside the hospital nursery ending with Connie on the floor. Powerful day in soaps.

At least Derek/Julian was quick on the uptake when Alexis was talking to him about Sam's father.

I have been bored with Spinelli for a while now, but damn if he didn't wake up today when BA was yelling at Ellie. Where's that character been this whole time? The goody goody boy just doesn't work for him all the time. He needed a shot of something, and maybe this was it. Now I want to see a scene where BA gets to yell at Maxie about it, and she gets to fully explain why she did it. I like Ellie, but her and Spinelli are too much alike to be anything but boring together.

KA did a great job with her scenes today with KW and JJY also. Loved her wanting her daughter!

Having a child changes everything. And yes, I think it will also force Spinelli to not play "nice" all the time. I predict there will be a bitter custody battle ahead in the future, and if *this* Spinelli is the one we will be getting more of at that time, then it's going to be epic!

Very proud of BA and Spinelli today.

Bradford Anderson and Kirsten Storms were amazing in their scenes. Kudos to Emily Wilson too. The scenes where Maxie is asking for her daughter were heartbreaking.

While I'm not a fan of Olivia and Sonny as a couple, I liked the elevator scenes. Seeing this vulnerable side of Sonny is what makes him likable in the end of the day. Maurice Bernard did great in his scenes too.

Yeah we saw some outstanding acting this week on GH. And if you ask me, FV could submit Thursday's episode for next year's Emmy Awards.

I still hate Connie's exit storyline. All the hate AJ is throwing at her is just beyond ridiculous and is not working for me. However the acting was great here too. I felt one last time for Connie when she was really afraid of AJ, while I applaud Sean Kanan that he plays a bad boy - that you still feel kind of sorry for - so believable.
I'm going to miss Kelly Sullivan a bit. I wasn't always her biggest fan and they overdid the DID storyline but she's a good actress. So for that I'm sad to see her go.

I could see Franco killing Connie. Even though it's the same ridiculous reason AJ would have. For me no one has a motive to kill Connie but Ava. But it would be a shame if Ava turns out to be a murderer. I actually enjoy Ava very much. Then I would rather go with ridiculous and say let Franco be Connie's killer, so we can get rid of him that way. Tongue

But somehow I think Franco is off and will next be seen visiting Heather.

I agree about Kristen Alderson. I remember when she came across Troy, on OLTL who had been strapped to that wheel by Lindsay and when she and Asa were working together, and when she would take taxis to wherever she needed to go. She had soo much spunk and the Starr character was very much her parent's daughter. Over the years the Starr character became much like Kiki is now, ordinary, scrupulous (unlike Todd and Blair who could be equally unscrupulous) and not a schemer. Maybe Kiki (and the later Starr character) is more like Kristen Alderson's personality in real life.

I think Connie revealing the paternity truth and her stumbling on the Jerome's mission would be enough motive for Ava to get rid of her. Its seems like there is a chunk of time missing between AJ being at the office and Sonny finding Connie on the floor. So I'm thinking Ava may have come to the office and Connie confronted her about the Jerome connection.
