HomeTVHBOTrue Blood to Experience True Death in 2014 Luke Kerr September 3, 2013 HBO, Pop Confidential, TV, TV Cancellations 10 Comments HBO's long running supernatural drama True Blood will come to an end when its seventh season finishes in 2014. The premium cable network made the announcement on Tuesday. “True Blood has been nothing short of a defining show for HBO,” noted Lombardo. “Alan Ball took the books by Charlaine Harris, assembled a brilliant cast led by the magnificent Anna Paquin in the role of Sookie Stackhouse, and crafted a show that has taken its many devoted fans on an Unforgettable journey. Alan passed the baton to Brian Buckner, who led our fantastic writers and crew in crafting a spectacular sixth season, and he will lead us through the seventh and final season of this amazing show. Together with its legions of fans, it will be hard to say goodbye to the residents of Bon Temps, but I look forward to what promises to be a fantastic final chapter of this incredible show.” 10 Responses yojoromo4469 September 3, 2013 We pretty much enjoyed about 3 years of the show, and reluctantly stuck with it through 3 more and to be quite frank, I am glad to see that it will end with the next season. Log in to Reply NathanHastingsSr. September 4, 2013 It’s time. I enjoyed the first 4 seasons, but these last 2 were not very good. Log in to Reply Kendall Troy September 4, 2013 The 5th season was horrible, but this last season was not bad. I will be sad to see my summer series go! Log in to Reply Luke Kerr September 4, 2013 Season 6 was an improvement over season 5, but I felt like it was all over the place. Sookie should be the center of the show and yet other than the Warlow part she seemed to be a second thought. Log in to Reply Patchworks September 4, 2013 Sookie is the worst part of this show. I enjoyed last season because she was a second thought. Log in to Reply Dyllan September 4, 2013 Sookie totally sucks. I would love to seem the writers kill that pest off. I only liked her with Warlow. I thought this season was okay. Last season was a total trainwreck. Log in to Reply Santa_Barbara_4Ever September 4, 2013 Ugh! OLTL now this! OKAY…. I love TB, but I did not care for this season that much at all. Something was missing/wasn’t right. I hope they have a kick ass finale season….I will tune in to watch. Geez, Dexter will be gone soon. The Big C is gone I hope Nurse Jackie gets better and stays awhile. I need to find some new cable shows Log in to Reply dattilofan1 September 4, 2013 WTF!!! I love True Blood. Look forward to the show every summer. Thought this season was the weakest. Warlow added up to pretty much nothing. The inprisonment of the vampires wasn’t particularly compelling. Thought the season finale was soft at best. Season 5 was much better. Going to miss Lafayette – my favorite character in the whole True Blood universe. Season 7 better bring it – hard. Leave em talking for years. Log in to Reply Leave a Reply Cancel Reply You must be logged in to post a comment.
