This is awful… Log in to Reply DaytimeFan0001 September 23, 2013 This FOJ thing is exhausting. When does it stop? Log in to Reply truthtakestime2000 September 23, 2013 i dug the song. Log in to Reply TraceyAbbot101 September 23, 2013 I got in trouble for posting my thoughts on the song. Log in to Reply richalan67 September 23, 2013 You guys wouldn’t like the song just because SB was involved. I didn’t know it was him and thought the song was really well done and fit the scenes beautifully. Log in to Reply yojoromo4469 September 23, 2013 If it has any involvement with Steve Burton, I could care less about hearing it. It is bad enough to put up with DYLDUMB on an almost daily basis, and I do not have any desire to hear him try to sing, probably as bad as his acting ability. Log in to Reply GHteenybopper September 23, 2013 I’m not into slow sappy songs like this, but the lyrics were well written, cheesy, but well written. Sounds like it could be a coldplay song. Log in to Reply pferrando September 23, 2013 The song actually isn’t bad…but geesh…it’s just the idea that Phelps is doing all this for her fav boy. So, giving some props for the actual song, but really Jill? Log in to Reply bobbyew September 24, 2013 I though the song was descent. Him being on Thur., Fri. and today was not cool though. That is way too much airtime. Please strike the park set and put Newman and Jabot back up for a coupla days. Log in to Reply TraceyAbbot101 September 24, 2013 Speaking of sets, it is amazing on how many citizens of Genoa City end up in Chancellor Park on a daily basis. Log in to Reply acela September 24, 2013 Oh God people, PLEASE give the Burton hating a REST. His scenes the last few days have been on the mark, & the song too… Log in to Reply blake3b September 24, 2013
Speaking of sets, it is amazing on how many citizens of Genoa City end up in Chancellor Park on a daily basis.
Sounds like what Guiding Light had to do back in 2005, to cut back on sets the whole cast would constantly be on 5th street. So it’s finally hitting the #1 soap Y&R years later. And it is annoying how obsessed Jill Farren Phelps is with Steve Burton. It’s the actors she has big crushes on that get the most work and she’ll bend over backwards for them(don’t want to think about that visual!). Log in to Reply shirls429 September 24, 2013  please people “stop your mean comments, very unnecessary,I loved the song kudos to Steve and Jonathan:) Log in to Reply tedew September 24, 2013 I’m surprised at these comments because I was expecting 100% negativity. Sometimes the comments in here are nearing online magazine, etc quality for negativity and hate. I am certainly not Steve Burton’s biggest fan but it seems he’s staying, so it was nice to see some positive comments for a change. Log in to Reply SoapArmageddon September 24, 2013
…. Log in to Reply Jorpa September 24, 2013 I’m not a big Steve Burton or Dylan fan, but his scenes the last couple of days got to me. I’ve seen more acting from Steve these past few days than I’ve seen the last few years. Having said that, I don’t want to see him every day. I’d be fine with 2 or 3 times a month. I loved the song. I backed up the dvr several times to listen to it. I thought the words fit the montage. It’s a great after the breakup song. Log in to Reply Coffee_Junkie September 24, 2013 I have an even better idea: how about those of you WHINING and complaining about the “Steve Burton hate” LEAVE this site? This is not a Steve Burton fan forum. If there are people here who think he SUCKS/blows CHUNKS (which he does) we are allowed to say so. Don’t like it? Too bad. Log in to Reply seanny September 24, 2013 Wow. Bully much?? Log in to Reply Nk3play2 September 24, 2013 For all those applauding Burton’s portrayal of Jason, I mean Dylan, for those of us who have watched him for years it was no different then ANYTHING he’s done on GH. We are not gonna sit here and act like this guy is some AMAZING ACTOR because he’s not. AND, a lot of the hate comes from the fact that this guy is on screen way too much; we’ve seen it and heard it all before, Jill Phelps favors this dude and it is ridiculous. I honestly don’t give a damn about Dylan having a nervous break down, or having this huge romance with Avery because I don’t care about either character. They write this guy as if he’s the NuNick Newman, as if we’ve watched him grow up on screen. Dylan’s story should’ve been Keemo Abbott’s story damn it. And as for the freaking song, I didn’t even notice. I’ve learned to ignore Y&R’s montages recently. Log in to Reply tedew September 24, 2013 Coffee_Junkie … just take a look at what you just said and think about it. All who contribute here are completely entitled to their opinions no matter what they are. What no one deserves is to be lambasted, ridiculed or verbally maligned as quite often is the case in here. So opposing opinions are just as valid even if they differ from those who think they rule this site. The same quite often happens when a more universally admired character is taken to task from time to time. Log in to Reply thecourt99 September 24, 2013 I didn’t hate him on GH, and I can’t say that hate him on Y&R, screen time or not. I will say that he has done a stellar job this week and while I wouldn’t buy the song, I think it was nice. I absolutely detest DYLDUMB and feel that in the over 30 years of watching this once wonderful show, that he is without a doubt the absolute worse actor I have ever seen on the show, and there have been a lot of bad ones. The music is mostly horrible and now they have this jerk and some other non talented, can’t sing, hack with him. JFP needs to go, like yesterday. Log in to Reply lightbringer September 24, 2013 JFP’s Y&R and especially her music will not make anyone forget Bill Bell or Douglas Marlands ATWT, which I have been re-familiarizing myself on YouTube: brilliant!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kvtj7vDAB_Q I guess those days can never come again. Log in to Reply stoney07 September 24, 2013 I don’t love Steve Burton as Dylan. I don’t think he’s a horrible actor. I don’t think he’s eating up the show. I think a lot of people are being overdramatic. The guy was on the MOST recently because his story is climaxing. And really, for every day that Dylan was on, Nikki was on. Jack, Victor, the “beloved vets” that everyone claims are being ignored in favor of St. Dylan…well, actually they aren’t. As for the song, I didn’t even notice it. It fit in well with the montage I guess, because I didn’t even remember anything awful about it. And that’s my opinion. Log in to Reply JasamForever September 24, 2013 I enjoyed the song. Log in to Reply RebeccaJ September 24, 2013 I liked it! I just HOPE we don’t hear it repeatedly like we did with that dumb song they used for Dylan and Avery…ugh!! Overkill. Log in to Reply yojoromo4469 September 24, 2013 I was thrilled spitless, when Paul and Nikki were told the baby died, and thought oh great, DYLDUMB, isn’t going to be Nikki’s son and then Paul had to get that damn phone call. Log in to Reply tedew September 24, 2013 Coffee_Junkie … there is absolutely no way that you should ever be told to *stop my mean comments* because (like I always say) you are entitled to them and those who don’t like them should be able to retort with constructive wit and intelligence. I also think that you are perfectly able to also retort with wit and intelligence. It just sort of looked like you were annoyed by the “wronged” Burton disciples and fanatics and suggesting THEY leave and no one should be asked to leave a site except for breaking site rules with obvious offenses. I thought the same thing until the phone call… Log in to Reply harlee490 September 25, 2013 I don’t think the beloved vets is the problem at least for myself, I relish when the vets are all on and when they are on…usually excellent to good episodes and well I’m happy as a lark because they carry some of these bad stories. Adam & Chelsea is rocking their scenes, Nikki yesterday was superb and nice to see her interacting a lot with Paul, (OH LA LA on the priest yummy :O )love the Victor\Jack\Adam feud on business, hate it on Summer, we got see Tracy again, the best part of yesterday’s episode was MTS at her best and the scenes between Victor\Noah, loved it, I want to see more multi-generational stories as this one, Nick isn’t like Victor but maybe his grandson is chip off the ole block  It’s the filler which stinks up YR, Dylan, Dylan\Avery a redux is coming probably (like Avery in other scenes), Summer paternity fiasco, Sharon and her crazy self, Cassie, John, Cane, liking NuLily’s tude (& CK) right now the story is yuck and liking Devon more lately since he’s doing something again besides being Tucker’s son & enjoying Hilary\Mason tie, Tyler Abby BOO, Leslie has dropped out sight quickly with Neil, this is what drives me to distraction the inconsistency…not all of us feel the same and are honest about our feelings. Steve has been on more because of the story and where it is, they have balanced out the last couple months but doesn’t mean I will enjoy any of Dylan, sorry Stoney…IMO Log in to Reply pferrando September 25, 2013 I’m with you Harlee… It may take years (God forbid) for me to find any quality in the Dylan character that actually appeals to me. (And sorry guys, but the same thing applies to Tyler and Kyle. I don’t like them. I don’t think they add anything to the show. I’d like to see both recast if they have to stay. And at this point it has nothing to do with screen time.) Back to Dylan…I liked the scenes the day he found out that the baby wasn’t his, but I was really feeling Chelsea’s pain more than his. I’m liking most of the show right now, so when I come on here and read the negative comments, even from multiple posters I respect I know not to get all bent out of shape. What I don’t like is when you see ONLY negative comments. No show is THAT bad sorry. And YR certainly has had quite a few good moments under Josh. Log in to Reply tedew September 25, 2013 I still don’t get (even more so these days, weeks and months) why so many seem to hold the excruciatingly boring, predictable and repetitive Victor aka Hansen Gudegast in such high regard. If he had an ounce more depth or layers I might be able to start understand it. Also, if he appeared to be actually acting instead of just reading his lines off of available props and devices; that would help too. Log in to Reply stoney07 September 25, 2013 No need to apologize Harlee. I totally agree. And even if I didn’t, why apologize? LOL. I’m nobody. I agree that the filler sucks on Y&R. I don’t care about Dylan in the least. I love Avery, just because I like to look at her, but aside from that…she’s pretty irrelevant too. I don’t like crazy-Sharin’. I don’t like the way the paternity story is going. But overall, I was just saying I don’t think the show is at some historic low point that it’s just too disgusting to even watch. To me, the problem is I don’t care about a lot of the new characters, and they all have something going on. OR, I don’t care about the paternity thing because we all know its just a waste of time if she’s really Nick’s daughter. BUT with all that, it’s still watchable to me. And although I don’t care about Dylan, I don’t see him eating the show. Log in to Reply pferrando September 25, 2013 Stoney…right. The way I look at it now is that YR is just one of the four soaps on the air left, and NONE of them are really any better than the others. They at times seem to look like and move a lot like each other. Years ago when you turned on YR, it was (sorry in advance) so much better than anything else on the air. I felt that way about it for a long time, and I used to watch pretty much every show except AMC, GH, and OLTL. I even tuned into Loving, and stuck with Edge of Night on ABC. Watched all of the NBC and CBS shows for various periods of time. So it’s not the Golden Standard anymore. I’m used to that. But I still have a fondness for the majority of the cast. Let’s see how Jeanie P and company treat them. Log in to Reply yojoromo4469 September 25, 2013 PFERRANDO, I am like U in regards to the post, about 4 above this that U wrote. I could have just about written that myself, as it is so close to my feelings about the show. I absolutely hate the idea of Victor winning again. I also don’t like the idea of the Summer thing. If she wasn’t going to be Nick’s daughter, it should have been permenant, not just fill in crap. I do detest the Nikki story. Being a senior type citizen, I just can’t imagine anyone Nikki’s age caring about a child she has never known and should now be 40 or so year old adult. To me, it is just unbelievable, but I am a bit cold hearted. Log in to Reply acela September 26, 2013 Coffee Junkie, With your constant whining & hate about Burton, Phelps & Y&R in general, why don’t YOU STOP watching Y&R……if you have such a dislike of everything. I’ll express my opinion here anytime, whether YOU or anyone else here like it or NOT. This is still America. If you feel someone is being negative and that’s not your thing, easy fix: don’t read their posts. Log in to Reply SoapArmageddon September 26, 2013 Soaps have really hit the skids. Back in the day we’d get Whitney Houston & Jermaine Jackson singing “If You Say My Eyes Are Beautiful” when Kimberly got her sight back on Days. Now we get songs by nobodies. Those people at Sony should hang their heads in shame.
