HomeTVDramaCheck Out Ex-Young and Restless Hunk Blake Hood in Revolution (PHOTOS) Luke Kerr September 26, 2013 Drama, NBC, Photos, Revolution, The Young and The Restless 14 Comments Ever since The Young and the Restless recast Kyle Abbott with, well, Hartley Sawyer, we've wondered what happened behind-the-scenes that led to the incredible Blake Hood being replaced. While we may never know the truth about about such casting shenanigans, we are happy to report Hood survived the cloak and dagger antics of Genoa City by ending up in the midst of a Revolution. Hood appeared in the Season 2 premiere of NBC's hit serial as a bartender who helped break Charlie's (Tracy Spiridakos) back. Check out more photos of Blake Hood as Jeff in Revolution's "Born in the U.S.A." after the jump! 14 Responses Ryan-Scott September 26, 2013 I still don’t get why this recast on Y&R was necessary. What the hell Jill?! Log in to Reply NathanHastingsSr. September 26, 2013 Damn u JFP!!! Log in to Reply Coffee_Junkie September 26, 2013 That Eddie Munster haircut is not doing him any favors. Log in to Reply soapjunkie88 September 26, 2013 How could they ever let him go??? I don’t understand. I still don’t. Anyway, glad that he has found a gig somewhere else. If he would ever consider a soap again, I think he would make a good Lucas Jones on GH. Log in to Reply pferrando September 26, 2013 It’s unusual, because there is always some sort of press release or comment about why the recast… Never anything on him. Chalk it up to yet ANOTHER f-up by the Queen of F-Ups…Phelps. Log in to Reply richalan67 September 27, 2013 Did you ever stop to think that maybe he left on his own accord? Log in to Reply soapjunkie88 September 27, 2013
Did you ever stop to think that maybe he left on his own accord?
It has been reported that Blake Hood was fired. The role was recast because of a storyline direction. Or so it was told. Hood himself didn’t see it coming and was sad about it. He said a few words back then when asked by fans on Twitter. Log in to Reply rozzberry September 27, 2013 Glad for him. I still miss him in GC. Although that could possibly be due to how terribly dull HS’s Kyle is…maybe. Not sayin’ BH was the greatest thing since they put the pocket in pita, but he’s cute, charismatic & oh yeah, could act. Not exactly run of the mill causes for a soap to fire someone, but what do I know. Log in to Reply FoxCrane September 27, 2013 He’s nice to look at, but his acting on Y&R was just average and his voice is rather annoying. Log in to Reply ChrisGa September 27, 2013
That Eddie Munster haircut is not doing him any favors.
Lol, so out of that first picture displaying this glorious specimen of manhood you point out, and take issue with, his HAIRCUT? REALLY? Log in to Reply TraceyAbbot101 September 27, 2013 move over Marco Dapper…. Log in to Reply tedew September 28, 2013 Wow! He’s gone from here but Blake Hood looked completely different and mighty hot on REVOLUTION tonight. HE could have given Phyllis a run for her money in that condition. But Coffee_Junkie … is it even at all possible for you to have anything positive to say ever about anyone??? Log in to Reply pferrando October 3, 2013 I didn’t find his acting average at all. And his voice is very much like Billy’s. He looked like an Abbott and appearance wise is a “15” compared to Jill’s horrible replacement (who really is never on because she realizes her mistake). Log in to Reply Cornfed October 8, 2013 As i said before back in the day, i didn’t watch Y/R regularly but Blake Hood COULD have got me back into the show had the hired a great creative team behind the scenes. He fit the bill perfectly for a new generation of Abbott. JFP is def. a fuck up! Log in to Reply Leave a Reply Cancel Reply You must be logged in to post a comment.
