Perkie's Observations: Lante Christens Spixie's Baby on General Hospital

Ellie overhears Dante thank Spinelli for agreeing to be the godfather.  She questions Spin, who says he felt he had no choice because it assures him a place in the baby's life.  Ellie wonders if he'll be satisfied with so little contact.

Tracy stops by Lulu's with a gift and asks about Luke.  Lulu says she knows the truth about Luke's condition. Tracy apologizes for keeping it from her.  Lulu wonders where her father is and if he'll ever come home.  She's upset that she has no one at the christening, but Tracy says she's there for Lulu as she's always been.

Luke finds himself on Cassadine Island, looking for Jerry.  He has a hallucination of Helena who tells him to join her in the grave and that he'll be dead soon.  Helena promises a way out. She offers to end his suffering, but Luke refuses to go with her.  Helena promises he'll see her again.

Britt finds Nikolas talking to baby Ben.  He tells her that he's going to baby Connie's christening and she feels badly for Maxie.  Nik mentions Brad not stepping up for the baby, but Britt reminds him that she and Brad had an arrangement.

Maxie prays to God to help her have the strength to let go of her daughter.  Olivia overhears, but says she understands how hard it's been for Maxie to let go.  Maxie says she's in therapy and promises there won't be a problem.  Olivia tells her about the vision she had of Maxie stabbing Lulu with a knife, but knows she'd never hurt Lulu.  Olivia brings up the vision of the dog.

Brad has a box of chocolates for Felix, but Felix still wants nothing to do with Brad.  Brad says they shared a moment before. Felix admits there was something there, but it stopped when he found out Brad was the baby's father.

Nikolas returns in the room as Britt is telling the baby that she's lied to him. Britt admits she didn't tell him that her mother called. Britt swears she hung up on her mother and didn't want to cause Nik any trouble.  Nik understands, but promises they are still friends.  Britt gives him a hug and thanks him for caring.

Olivia and Tracy discuss her visions when she has one of Luke in a casket.  Tracy asks if Luke is dead and to check.  Luke's eyes open and he appears to be trying to say something.  Olivia listens and tells Tracy that Luke asked for his spanks.  Tracy realizes Luke needs her and decides to head out after the ceremony.

Spinelli and Maxie bump into each other at the christening and explain that they are the godparents.  Maxie feels it will give her a reason to be close to her daughter.  Spin agrees that it allows him to be a father figure.  Maxie promises that things will get easier every day.  She admits she prayed for strength and that God sent her Spinelli.

Ellie mentions to Brad about the Lante baby christening so he leaves, to prove he can do the right thing.

Britt finds her mother with baby Ben.

The priest recites the vows and baptizes baby Connie.  Brad tells Spinelli that he needs to tell Lulu and Dante something important.

I loved everything about Friday's show! I was a little surprised that Brad didn't speak up before the baby could actually be christened (more dramatic, in a way).

Brad: "Stop! You can't baptized that baby."
Dante: "Just give me one good reason why not!"
Brad: "Because...because...(chickening out)...because Connie is a crappy name!

I enjoyed when Britt's mother referred to herself as "grossmutter"! I couldn't have put it better myself! Laughing out loud

Yeah it would have been great to have this dramatic cliffhanger before Georgie was actually baptized as Constanza Louise.
But I liked Friday's show too.

Nik looks great these days and the hug with Britt was amazing. I could totally ship the two of them.
The only thing that bothered me is that Nik is constantly left out in a way. He wasn't even asked to be the child's godfather and then Lulu tells Tracy that she's all alone!? Your brother is in town, stupid! You know, the one that once saved your life... Don't get it why Lulu is just ignoring him.

Olivia and her visions get on my nerves a bit. Does she have to freak every single time? Shouldn't she be used to it by now? Anyway I loved Tracy's reaction. LOL

The thing that gets me as a person with 5 godchildren, I knew I was going to be godmother before these babies were born and I prepared for it. They had Connie's dress and they had all the arrangements made then Dante went out with Connie looking for Spinelli to ask him to be godfather. Thats not how Italians from Bensonhurst do that. no no no no no. Not done. On that note, Nicholas, put your shirt on, please...and how did those babies get so big? They were born 2 weeks ago.

did anyone else notice that they used an old school opening for this episode with the old Lulu in it and Michael Easton as John McBain?

WHY WASN'T LIZ AT THE CHRISTENING? HER CHILDREN ARE LULU'S NEPHEWS. SHE WAS AT LAURA'S WEDDING. IS LESLIE STILL IN TOWN?

AND BY THE WAY: WHERE IS AJ?

She couldn't even wait for her own parents to attend, why should she invite her grandmother? Wink She shows that she doesn't give a sh*t about her brother, why care about her nephews and her former sister-in-law? This whole christening was kind of stupid in it's planing.

Not even to mention that the Falconeris are supposed to be such a big family, yet no one cared to show up to Connie's funeral or the christening of their newest member.^^

My guess is GH had its budget slashed so we're not seeing Liz, AJ, Leslie, Laura, etc...

Shrewlu is the most selfish, self involved hateful character since Carly, basically they are the same person. I give ER props she has taken a lot of the shrew out of Shrewlu where that was all JMB played. But to think she'd care about her nephews, her parents or brothers, grandmother or sister is a joke. I honestly can't wait for her to lose that baby, that cute little girl deserves so much more then Lante as parents, and I hope Britt's baby isn't Lante's but if it is Nicolas better stay loyal to Britt because Shrewlu would NEVER and has NEVER shown loyalty to her bothers so screw her.

I am also rooting for Luke to actually die, lord I hate all Spencers, but they just suck each and every one of them.

Oh and honest to god I can't take LLC's over the top acting. What is with the horrific acting from ALL female Falconaries? If only Connie's death could have been a murder/suicide with Olivia/Connie. The show would have been so much better and I would have enjoyed MB and DZ's work. Although I do not and will never buy that Sonny cares enough about Connie or Olivia to go off the handle. Brenda? Yes. Carly? Yes. Connie/Olivia? Nope never.

Kirsten Storms looks radiant, and her and BA are really doing wonderful work in this story. Hopefully they get some Emmy. I also will give MB props for his work of showing how he still isn't feeling well, while I no longer can tolerate Sonny and am really tired of these breakdown stories, I respect how much MB cares about truly educating people about BPD.

Just when they get me to like Britt, they do stupid things like make her homeless and move her in with Nik. What really pissed me off was the fact Nik still thinks that baby is Brad's baby. Nik, a world traveled man, thinks this baby with not even ONE slanted eye is Asian. I just can't take it!!

Hopefully somewhere Spencer is on Spoon Island plotting Britt's demise.

Don't care about Brad and Felix. I need for Brad to declare that he is not that baby's father! If he wants to really do good, come clean about that. IMO, that's more important than telling Lante that baby isn't theirs. I would think letting people know Britt baby isn't mine would be more important. Yeah it created great cliffhangers but it made no sense. It would be more soapy if Ellie ran in there telling not Brad. Brad has his own baby drama to deal with.

Kirsten Storms is wearing her pregnancy so well. She is glowing!

So sick of Olivia's face and her yelling and carrying on. Someone give her some week to offset that LSD. I'm still trying to figure out why she's in PC. Loved Tracy's reaction to her. I so agree about Lulu still being the selfish shrew she has always been. Her mother was in a mental ward half her life. Luke has never stayed in PC long enough to raise her. Lulu was raised by her grandma Lesley Lu and her brothers, where are they? Nik should have been the first option as godfather not Spinelli. Lulu has always had Tracy yet she's all alone? She's is such a drama queen and so annoying.

What the heck was up with Sonny? He seemed like he was half sleep. I wish Carly and her boys was there. They could have been giving each other the evil eye at the christening. Lesley Lu and Nik should have been there. They could have had Lucky send a message or something. Where was freakin LIZ WEBBER!!! Liz has been a constant in Lulu's life since she was a toddler. She should have been there!

This show has some good stuff but it just makes no sense! The characters have to be stupid for these storylines to work

I have never been a big Lulu fan. She was mostly shrill, judgmental, self-centered and stubborn when JB played her (I'm still disgusted by that fling in the whorehouse to find her dad). Under ER she's less shrill, but just as self-centered. This whole Christening thing makes no sense. Why wouldn't they ask Nik to be the godfather? Lulu should have at mentioned her grandmother. It's more than an oversight that Elizabeth wasn't there. Liz's kids are baby Connie's cousins, Aiden by blood (until of course it's nevealed they're not). And no matter what else is going on Michael would have shown up as well.

So what did Brad go to reveal? Did Britt tell him about the ture nature of Maxie's pregnancy? Why would Brad even know anything about that--no one ran DNA tests on this baby.

Why didn't he tell Felix he's not the father of Britt's baby? And if you judge by Dr. O's reaction, that for sure is her biological grandchild. So who's the daddy? Dante or some frozen Cassadine sperm?

I cannot take Olivia's reactions to her own visions. She has to know she's seeing a vision, can she stop screeching about them? If Tracy is going to help Luke, is Laura truly sitting in Paris at the doctor's office?

I love, love, love how Ron and Frank have rescued GH. But there are too many people on my screen, like Carlos and Olivia, and not enough Elizabeth. Is the purpose of Carlos to move Patrick to take off his wedding ring? To propose to Sabrina, supposedly upping the drama of Robin's return?

There is no drama there. Patrick still loves Robin. He might love Sabrina, but he is not in love with her. Just reunite Patrick and Robing and get on to uncovering who took her and why?

Isn't AJ in PC jail? Why would he be anywhere else?

On to happier thoughts. Who did Luke see in the lab? Jerry? Ethan? Stavros? I was hoping Robert, but Holly would have said something.

Brad overheard Maxie and Spin talking about the fact that they are the baby's parents and ran with it.

I do agree that if he was going to do something right to prove something to Felix, than that somehting should have been to admit he's not Britt's baby daddy instead of blowing up Lante and Spixie's lives.

Ugh, don't get me started on why this christening had to happen RIGHTNOW and couldn't have waited for Laura to be there. Or to have Nikolas at least, asked to be godfather. Or Ethan. Or any mention of Lucky. Or Liz and kids. Or Carly, seeing as Lulu is Joss' godmother. Or Micheal, Morgan and Kristina who are Dante's siblings. Or Molly, who is Dante's cousin.

But no, we have to rush the story, so only three people can show up at this child's baptism.

This writing regime has done some stuff really well and some stuff really bad.

Count me in as one of those who agree that KS is looking so much healthier and happier these days!

Catching up on the week...

I might not be able to stomach much of Nic these days in his current (lack of)story, but TC looks great with a baby in his arms. I used to love Helena, but she's old and has been on my nerves also. Bring back Stefan, that's the Cassadine I want to see again!

It took Lulu and Dante longer to name the child than it did to rush this christening. Olivia having a vision of Luke laying in a coffin was just creepy. I was happy to see Maxie holding her baby, can't wait til she has little Georgie back for good.

Seriously, none of the people who Olivia has bothered with the dog vision can figure out that it's a Jackal? And all of them know Spinelli and that he calls himself a jackal? There must be stupid juice in the PC water supply. LLC needs to dial it back when she's having her "visions".

I don't like Carly and Franco, but I can appreciated RoHo with his shirt off any day of the week, and LW knocked that scene out of the park when she turned him down and just left.

Ava's just gross, Michael and Kiki are just too righteous, and Morgan, well he's got a screw or two loose... I think he's going to end up smack in the middle of Jerome mob Inc.

Sam and Silas were kind of cute, and I loved the scene where he said he does things because he gets a reaction from her.

Carlos needs a shave. I can't believe he would ever be with the Sabrina that was before the ugly duckling makeover though. I'd like to see him move on to one of the other ladies in town.

I also agree that Brad isn't the father of Brit's baby, and think if he tells any secret, it should be the one he's actually a part of.

CURACAOMAN, I see you have asked where is AJ, and I really am wondering the same thing too. I kind of thought he was in jail, but where is Sean Kanan who plays AJ? There are alot of rumors out there that he is on his way out. Does anyone really know whats going on with Sean. I love him, but I also loved him as sleeze Deacon on Y&R. As long as I see him I dont care what his character name is. Anyone out there know?

Every time I see Kirsten Storms I am just so happy for her. Cannot wait for her to get baby Georgie back. As for the christening, ITA, what was the big freaking hurry? There wasn't enough people there to fill the first pew, and to top it all off it seemed like the hand full of people who were there couldn't get out of there fast enough.

Olivia has had enough of these visions to get a grip before people think she has completely lost her mind. Way over the top. Maybe once we have the baby reveal, Olivia will envision a ticket back to Bensonhurst and she can take Sonny back with her.

Don't care about Carlos, he is just a prop. I am more interested in who Sabrina and Ellie really are, and why they came to Port Chuckles in the first place. I mean, one day Ellie shows up, the next day Britt and Sabrina are installed behind the nurses desk. That is the reason story I want not some low level mob soldier suffering from the unrequited love of Mary Poppins.

I know that RC gets a lot of props for his overarching stories and tying people together and history...but I think he misses more often than he hits.

The Falconeri clan being huge is a part of recent history, yet Connie's funeral and Dante's wedding are empty. Not even dayplayers. I wouldn't care to see them all, but due to the history of the characters, they should be there.

Lulu actually said that she had no one. Yet...her brother Nik is there and was actually at the event. Her cousin Carly hasn't had a scene with her in I don't know how long...but that is her cousin. Michael, Morgan, and Joss are her cousins...and Michael and Morgan are brothers to Dante. Yes...they are in their own hell right now, but they could show up for a scene and leave. Liz was no where to be found and she is the mother to Lulu's nephew...who Lulu hasn't seen. So its sad when the character says she's alone, because she is...but she shouldn't be. Her family is right there..including her grandmother.

Sometimes RC puts characters into stories where they don't belong to forward a plot, but miss the scenes where they do belong. RC isn't the only one though, I just point it out because he gets so much praise for integrating the cast.

Other than that...I liked the episode. Sonny looked like he was sleep.

I know Frank Valentini is a whiz at keeping a soap opera under budget, but the man can not spin money out of cotton. Smile The days of big events with lots of cast members went out in the '90s. However, Dante and Lulu could have mentioned that Liz and the boys were out of town with Grams, the Falconeri's could not afford the trip to Port Charles, Laura was still in Paris, Luke is probably dead somewhere in the arms of his favorite hooker, etc....

I'm in the minority I guess, this episode bored the hell out of me; I guess Monday really is the big day; I just hope that Brad doesn't take a whole episode to tell the baby secret.

Seriously where is lulu's family??? This new lulu seems to just be obsessed with this baby and nothing else. She needs to invite her family since she'll need them after she learns the truth. I'm fine with recasting Lulu but the character just feels wrong to me. She is a character with such rich family history and she seems alone. I am finding myself on Maxie's side which is funny cause when it all started i hated maxie's choice.

If that were the case, why would he do it at the christening? That factoid has nothing to do with Dante & Lulu.

I, for one, am glad they rushed the christening. I want this stupid baby story over NOW.
Hopefully they will solve the Baby Ben story just as quickly...like this week!

Fiya at GH! Brad telling the truth Holy Shit! Emme Rylan flips her lid with perfection. Dante was good too. The Church was beautiful. Those Pews.

Hot Jerry Jacks was on the scene. Telling Luke about a stand in MD for Dr. Obrecht. Robin is back! Speaking of Dr. Obrecht, she was at Wyndamere having it out with her child. Trying to be the New Helena, she tells the Britch, Ben that's a name for a rat not a child. Ask MJ, he'll tell you all about Ben.

Felix starting to have feelings for Brad but he finds out he told the World about the test tube baby. It will really keep Felix away from Brad.

I agree that Kristen S, Maxie, looks terrific. The extra pregnancy weight makes her look so much better. When I watch old shows on Soapnet, right now it's from 2009, she was SO thin and tired looking. Great acting from both her and Bradford at the Christening, also Dominic Z, and I'm sure ER will rock today. It is a bit distracting, that there were only very few people at the Baptism. Where is the Falconari family, Laura should be there, and Liz. BUT, again, it's all about keeping the show under budget so I TRY not to over-analize it all (Remember Luke and Laura's wedding when EVERYONE was there? How I miss the good old days of soaps in the 80's when they went all out).
Finding Tony Geary a bit annoying with his over-acting. Looking forward to the whole Robin story and seeing Scorpio again.

Wow, great episode.

So funny to see all these people after such a long time. When the episode started with Nik & Britt, I was like woah. So nice to see them again after all this time.

I loved everything about the episode. I will say I was kind of surprised they had Brad of all people to blow the whistle. Now of course, it's because he wanted to redeem himself, but it was about the wrong thing. He should have told who the father of Britt's baby really is. It's certainly not Brad himself. So yeah, this just makes Brad look more crappy to the others. I am super glad the secret is finally coming out, but it should have come out another way. Like Olivia realizing it's a jackal, then possibly Tracy getting something, and Lulu finally figuring it all out. Something like that.

I just don't like Felix. He is annoying and self-richeous. I like Brad infinitely better than Felix, and think Brad could do so much better. Plus Brad has much more potential than Felix. And while I'm glad Felix is out of Sabrina's orbit, I don't like them segregating Felix & Brad into their own island. Not everyone who's gay have to interact. Also, there both still newbies, it's not going to work for the audience unless they're more spread out.
