The Young and the Restless' Christel Khalil Settles Dispute With Former Talent Agency

It appears the real-life drama between The Young and the Restless star Christel Khalil and her former talent agency has ended. According to The Wrap, Khalil and Mavrick Artists Agency have settled their legal dispute.

Khalil filed suit against her ex agency this past August, after accusing it of failing to send her out on auditions and stealing money from her.

Among her claims, Khalil alleged Mavrick Artists was so negligent with her career that during the pilot season she was only sent out on two auditions. Khalil also claimed her old agency "collectively embarrassed, if not mortified" the Daytime Emmy winner by sending her out to an audition for Y&R.

Mavrick vehemently denied Khalil's accusations and countered her lawsuit with one of their own, claiming she didn't want to pay her fees and stated:

That just couldn’t have happened. Do you think ‘Young & the Restless’ is so stupid that their casting office would have scheduled such an audition? It wasn’t an audition — it was a submission.

Khalil’s attorneys told The Wrap,

The Parties are pleased to confirm that they have resolved all of their claims against each other, they wish each other success in their future endeavors, and the action has been dismissed with prejudice.

If anyone needs a "talent agency", it's this one!

Our long, national nightmare is over.

Other Y&R actors are finding outside work (Billy Miller, Greg Rikkart), but Miss Thing isn't. Maybe she should take the hint, and give it up. Y&R is as good as it's ever going to get for her.

Coffee, U should have added, that she isn't good enough for YR.

Mavrick probably proved their case by showing that when she quit Y&R the first time, the only job she was able to get was that voice-over work on a children's cartoon series.

You know I'm truly indifferent to CK, but NO ACTOR should have to suffer such a humiliation of being submitted to their own show. I'm sure what happened was that Y&R casting received her name from the agency and they told her, which would be mortifying to any actor. To me, it's just another example of how challenging it is for minority actors to find work. You can just hear the agency now - "Hey, here's a role for a black woman. I think we've got one of those. Send her stuff in." Rather than a reflection on CK, it's a bigger example of Hollyweird's lack of roles for people of color.

Personally, I wish Mavrick would get their act together and start sending her on as many auditions as possible so she'll find yet another reason to leave...and hopefully it will be for a show I don't watch.

I am with U Rebecca and they could send her on any show as she could pass.

CK needs to get into modeling because acting is not her calling.
