Craig Ferguson to Host Syndicated Daytime Game Show

Betty White's BFF is about to get a side hustle. The host of The Late Late Show on CBS has been tapped to helm Celebrity Name Game, a new syndicated daytime game show from Courteney Cox and David Arquette’s Coquette Productions.

"I have to do a show which is of interest to me and Celebrity Name Game is certainly that," said Ferguson. "What a wonderful concept with such great potential, from two of my favorite people, Courteney and David."

FremantleMedia North America and Debmar-Mercury are teaming up to strip the half-hour project, based on the board game Identity Crisis. Celebrity Name Game is slated for a fall 2014 roll out.

I guess he has to bide his time as he waits for Dave to retire.

He will never get David Letterman's time slot.

No, it's not. It's possible he has a clause in his contract that gives him Late Show when he retires or else CBS must pay a penalty. I guarantee you they will pay the penalty (even if this clause exists, which is highly doubtful). Ferguson will never get Letterman's slot.

I guess we'll have to wait and see. Apparently, you can foretell the future. I only go by the facts.
