Get ready for more bulging belt buckles and brawling brethren. Or should that be cockfighting cousins? TNT has announced a Feb. 24 debut for the third season of Dallas.
The new season will pick up with Bobby (Patrick Duffy) serving as patriarch of the fractured Ewing dynasty, following the death of his brother J.R. (the late Larry Hagman). Bobby's son Christopher (Jesse Metcalfe) continues to pursue natural gas as a replacement for oil in driving the family's fortunes. I wonder what Christopher's cousin John Ross (Josh Henderson) will have to say about all that? Still reeling from his father's death, J.R.'s son vows to prove he can be every bit as ruthless in the boardroom— and seductive in the bedroom—as his father ever was.
Elena Ramos (Jordanna Brewster), daughter of the Ewing maid and a slain oil field worker, will be seeking vengeance in Season 3, followinga jailed Cliff Barnes' (Ken Kercheval) Season 2 cliffhanger revelation that the Ewings cheated her padre out of his land and oil. How will the Ewing boys take their dream girl coming after the family?
Pamela Barnes Ewing-Ewing 2.0 (Julie Gonzalo) is set to be working overtime to make her new marriage to John Ross work. Cliff's daughter and the late Pam's (Victoria Principal) namesake might want to figure out how to handle Emma Ryland (Emma Bell), pill-popping daughter of Bobby's wife Ann (Brenda Strong), who is screwing her step-cousin John Ross' brains out!
Also back for more soapy hijinks, are Kuno Becker as Elena's troubled brother Drew Ramos, Mitch Pileggi as Ann's evil ex-hubby Harris Ryland, Judith Light as Ryland matriarch Judith and Linda Gray as the indefatigable Sue Ellen Ewing.
Dallas returns to TNT on Feb. 24 at 9/8c.
