Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) is almost out of her twenties, but she still hasn't learned her actions have consequences on General Hospital. After losing custody of Baby Connie—and being told by the judge she must stay at least 20 feet away from the baby for six months—a hardheaded Maxie showed up on Spinelli's (Bradford Anderson) doorstep last week, bearing gifts.
Because of Storms incredible acting chops, I continue to feel every bit of Maxie's pain. However, the popular character's latest misstep had me screaming at my TV. Is Maxie really so dense she'd risk both of Connie's parents being out of the baby's life for good?
Maxie and Lulu (Emme Rylan) proved during this arc neither are ready to be mothers. Being a parent requires sacrifice and thinking of the child's needs over one's own. I don't think either of these petite, self-centered-yet-adorable blondes are there yet, so kudos to the judge for issuing a ruling that gives Maxie time to finally (hopefully) grow up! All that tough love being said, it did break my heart into a million pieces to see Maxie turned away.
Should Spin have given her a few minutes with their daughter?
