HomeTVCBS DaytimeJill to Jack on The Young and the Restless: “Don’t You DARE Try to Double Cross ME!” (PROMO) Jamey Giddens December 3, 2013 12 Comments I must have been a very good boy this year, because Soap Santa is finally granting my wish for more Jack (Peter Bergman) and Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) scenes on The Young and the Restless! Ever since I was a wee lad, cutting my teeth on soap fandom, I've been fascinated by the raunchy dynamic shared by John Abbott's (Jerry Douglas) trophy wife and his randy son. Whether in the boardroom or the bedroom, Jack and Jill have always been a delicious soap treat. Judging from the holiday promo below, we're about to get even more of them in our stockings! Elsewhere in Genoa City, Victor (Eric Braeden) is giving Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) the "How Dare You?" treatment. What. A. Monster-in-Law. Watch this week's Y&R promo after the jump! 12 Responses hey mon July 1, 2014 Today’s episode 07-01-14, was much better than an episode in a very long time. Jill and Colin are actually enjoyable, as we see the ‘real’ Jill for the first time since Josh Griffiths left. Also, her scenes with Billy work out very well, on her part, but it seems weird, since Burgess Jenkins is only 10 years younger than Jess Walton. But, if heartfelt scenes between Jill and Billy are the future with the new guy, Im for it. It also looks like the whole Bonaventure story-line might be moving forward, just a little — which, since it involves Newman E, Chancellor I, and Jabot — can only a be good thing. I just wish all of these weren’t just scenes, but a storyline. Log in to Reply soapjunkie88 December 3, 2013 It’s great to be on Victor’s side for once. Chelsea is trash! Can’t stand her character. I love these Jill and Jack scenes. But yeah, a real long-term storyline would be nice here. The problem with some of the vets is that they are not on contract, so plopping them into these scenes here and there will never quite satisfy. I’m thinking Traci, Christine, Jill and Ashley. I’d like all of them back, but I think we need Jill and Ashley the most. Log in to Reply bobbyew December 3, 2013 Jack and Jill scenes are great. He did tell her yesterday we have a long time and a lot of work to do before we divide the spoils. Hopefully it will be a long story line. Log in to Reply Patchworks December 3, 2013 They need to stick Jack and Jill together against Victor and Nikki. They could extend the Jill/Katherine feud through Nikki and continue the Newman/Abbott rivalry to the second and third generations. I think it just needs to be explicitly stated. The writers should at least make us think they’ve been working on long story and understand the history of this show. Log in to Reply Divatude58 December 3, 2013 Neil telling Leslie he loves her…the first time since Dru died. I really wish these two had more chemistry and were more age appropriate. I want to love them but I just don’t. I agree with whoever said that Jill and Jack need to be an item and go head to head with Nikki and Victor. Log in to Reply tedew December 3, 2013 Chelsea is probably about as complicated as Adam is; which is why they make quite a decent couple. Besides … Victor usually is just the pot calling the kettle black. Log in to Reply acela December 4, 2013 The storylines & show it self seem much more stabilized & consistent since this new writing team took over. It will be interesting to see how J.P.’s writing will blend in with this when she begins. I wish her & the show well. Log in to Reply pjc722 December 4, 2013 I think the story of Jack trying to take down Victor with Jill has legs but only if they actually worked it in a way that wasn’t so transparent and if the previous time that Jack owned Newman he didn’t just SELL IT OUT back to Victor to SAVE money to only turn around and want to take it over again the following week. I know it’s a soap opera but wouldn’t it have been better for Jack and Adam just to do a fire sale of all the companies in Newman and make Victor scramble to buy them up fast enough before someone else did? Plus, on the CHANCELLOR front, I don’t remember Tucker ever selling his shares back to Kay. I still remember that he owns a great deal of stock… 50/50 split,, I believe… so whhy aren’t they recasting or having the past actor on even as short term to work with Jack and Jill? AGAIN, I loved the Adam and Chelsea love story but the fact that Adam is feeling guilt but doing nothing to come forward to say he believes he hit Delia makes this story ridiculous. Adam should have been drunk or something or there should have been more of a purpose to KILLING a child than to give us BILLY’s selfish story or the reason Chloe takes Kevin back. NONE of it is riveting. Log in to Reply harlee490 December 4, 2013 I too love Adam & Chelsea and yesterday the scenes were so good. Please, please, please Jean & Hackman give us more Jack & Jill, lots of everything with those two. What I would love is Jack & Jill a wee bit too tipsy at family Christmas and fall into bed together again and then let the sparring begin! They should try to keep it secret from the family once again but this time let Ashley find out! :O I don’t want Jack & Jill as lovers because they are so much more fun in each other’s face! :8) I agree many of the vets are recurring (purposely by Sony to push all the newbies) to wish Sony & CBS would realize and open their eyes how much better quality YR is on days which features more vets then the all the horrible newbies eating up the show. Give them all storylines and sub-stories to the newer cast of including Dylan…. Log in to Reply tedew December 5, 2013 Actually recent comments about MTS may be well founded! Because … exactly when did Nikki start looking like Ginger Rogers in her 80s or like Mae West in Myra Breckinridge or Sextette? Rather disturbing.
