Josh Elliott Chokes Up During Sam Champion's GMA Exit (VIDEO)

The gang at Good Morning America bid farewell to one of their own on Wednesday. Meteorologist Sam Champion, who had been with the program since 2006, marked his last day on the ABC morning show.

His colleagues gave an emotional send-off to the popular weatherman, as he heads off to run The Weather Channel. Champion’s teary-eyed GMA co-host Josh Elliott told his pal:

I just want to say thank you because it's been a gift each and every day to work with you, Sam. A lot of people talk about our bromance. For me it was just a friendship. I promise there's happy on the inside, but the tears... aw, I'm going to miss you. I love you, Sam.

Watch Elliott, Robin Roberts, George Stephanopoulos and Lara Spencer say goodbye to Champion after the jump!

I wonder how many nose hairs Josh had to yank to muster up the tears? He is a better actor than journalist.

Josh never passes up an opportunity to make it all about him, does he? (That's the impression I got of him when he and what's-her-name hosted Good Afternoon America.)

It's almost eerie how Sam's goodbye at GMA was nearly identical to Anne Currie's at NBC. YOU COULD JUST FEEEEEL THE LOVE!!

lol.

I like Josh, but that's my opinion. As long as Robin is at the desk, GMA will be just fine.

I agree that the show is fine as long as Robin Roberts is there.
