HomeTVABCGrey’s Anatomy Chandra Wilson Checks Into General Hospital! Jillian Bowe December 17, 2013 ABC, Comings & Goings, General Hospital, Greys Anatomy, News, Soap Opera 12 Comments Look who’s dropping into Port Charles next month! Grey’s Anatomy scene stealer and soap fan Chandra Wilson has nabbed a guest starring role on General Hospital. Per ABC Soaps In Depth, Wilson’s top secret character will be a patient of Dr. Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom). Just how in the world did this role come about? Wilson told the magazine: Roger [Howarth, Franco] was visiting the GREY'S set and we talked about it. Then, the following Friday, I got the call. I asked Frank [Valentini, GH's executive producer] if this was because of Roger and he said, 'No. This has been in the works before.' So I don't know! But I'm glad it's happening. Wilson makes her GH debut on Jan. 28. 12 Responses Katiebug9624 December 17, 2013 Wow that’s awesome! I love Chandra Wilson she’s actually my fav on Greys, such an underrated actress. Log in to Reply aph1976 December 17, 2013 I’m very excited that Chandra Wilson is coming onto GH even if it is probably only a short term role. However i’m wondering who she’ll be playing because i don’t think GH would cast her as an insignificant character who won’t make some impact on a story. Log in to Reply Pauretajt December 17, 2013 Best News Ever… What took you so long FV/RC? Next, Castle should drop by to help Anna solve the case of Connie’s death. Come on boys, use your marbles. Ya got them. Log in to Reply logan_echolls December 17, 2013 Unless she’s coming on as TJ’s mother, I honestly don’t care. I will be thrilled to see Kevin more but I can just tell as soon as I seen that Roger was involved she will come on to prop that annoying Franco character. I bet her character will start talking about that precious sweet nurse who walked her to Kevin’s office, Sabrina, smh Roger went to Grey’s to try to get a role and instead we get Bailey. I love her (IRL she got some gorgeous kids!) I just hope she isn’t being used to just prop Log in to Reply Patchworks December 17, 2013 She’s a true soap fan. I think it would be very interesting to see her as a different character because Chandra Wilson has always been “Bailey” to me. Maybe she’s the missing Quartermaine! LOL Log in to Reply Secrets and Lies December 17, 2013 I love how Roger is ABC’s golden boy who’s welcome to just pop in on the set of Grey’s like that. Quite a contrast from a couple years ago when soaps were the ugly stepchild! Dollars to doughnuts this is TJ-related. Cartini doesn’t just throw characters in there willy-nilly, plus Chan seems pretty excited about the role. Log in to Reply Yoryla December 17, 2013 Well, Chandra’s a great actress. Have to wonder a little bit why, though. Aren’t there too many characters on the show already… I think she is going to play Felix and Taylor’s mother. Not really sure why Roger Howarth was mentioned by her. IMO she didn’t need to say the part where he visited her on set, it makes it seem as if Roger has power over casting decisions on that show, and that’s just ridiculous. Log in to Reply soapjunkie88 December 17, 2013 She’s a huge soap fan. The surprise is what took them so long? So happy she’ll make an appearance. Log in to Reply MotownKate4Soaps December 17, 2013 It should be easy for Chandra or anyone else from Grey’s to guest star on GH and vice-versa, since they film the shows in the same building. When Robin went to Seattle a couple years ago, she was seen walking into Seattle Grace/Mercy West. Would be great if there was a crossover even with Bailey seeking Kevin’s help with her OCD problem. And if Bobbie would be seen working at Grey Sloan Memorial now, it would tie it right in. Hmmm… Log in to Reply Pauretajt December 17, 2013 My goodness…. always a conspiracy theory… SMH Log in to Reply CarlyCfan December 18, 2013 That’s fantactic for GH and for her as she’s a huge soap fan.
