Pretty Little Liars Return With 1.3 Million Tweet and Tons of Soapy Drama
The winter premiere of Pretty Little Liars boasted 1.3 million tweets and we can totally understand why! Now that the girls knew Alison (Sasha Pieterse) was alive, everything was different.
Hanna (Ashley Benson) wanted to find out whose body was in Ali’s grave. After an internet search she thought it was a girl named Sarah from a neighboring town. She and Emily (Shay Mitchell) met with the girl’s friends, and found out Sarah and her friends, mirrored the nefarious Ali and them. However, Hanna later realized the timeline didn’t match.
Caleb (Tyler Blackburn) and Toby (Keegan Allen) both returned to town to visit their girlfriends. All the lovey-doveyness made Aria (Lucy Hale) nostalgic for Fitz (Ian Harding). Fitz later made a heartfelt apology for what happened with their relationship, which led to a romantic moment.
Caleb more or less broke up with Hanna. He did it to keep her away from Ravenswood, the town with malevolent spirits trying to kill him and his new friends.
All he told Hanna, however, was that it was complicated. Hanna thought Caleb dumped her to be with Miranda. Caleb seemed very heartbroken over the whole thing, but that’s what happens when you join the cast of a spinoff!
Spencer (Troian Bellisario) and Toby got Radley to admit Mrs. Cavanaugh didn’t kill herself. Her death was an accident, which Radley covered up. Mr. Hastings heard about what happened, and said they could turn that admission of guilt into something that could get the place shut down.
Fitz and Mona (Janel Parrish) made veiled threats at one another, with Fitz eventually gaining the upper hand.
I find "A" being Fitz pretty stupid, especially since this isn’t the first time the show has led viewers to believe "A" was someone very close to the girls. Why should I accept this version of "A"? I won’t, until PLL gives me a proper reason to trust them this time.
What did you think of the PLL premiere?
