Noah to Sharon on Young and Restless: "Mom, You Were Talking to Yourself" (SNEAK PEEK)

Noah Newman (Robert Adamson) almost trips and stumbles over one of his mama's lost marbles today on The Young and the Restless. How will Sharon (Sharon Case) cover, when her son overhears her chatting away with his dead big sister?

Chavez (Ignacio Serricchio) tells Kevin (Greg Rikaart) about Cricket (Lauralee Bell) being close to the truth about who killed Delia. Meanwhile, Avery (Jessica Collins) is encouraging Adam (Michael Muhney) to take advantage of attorney/client privilege. Watch Thursday's Y&R sneak peek after the jump!

The show is slowly improving. It's a pity nobody seems interested in talking about that.

I do hope today's episode is stronger than yesterday, because it was somewhat weak and boring. Poor Robert Adamson stuck in no-win story with Courtney and constantly babysitting his mother...geez!

I loved the line Jamey about "almost trips and stumbles over one of his mama's lost marbles" to funny...LOL Big smile Maybe after all of this Nick will still stand beside Sharon but honestly how could he....I'm loving Shick again... Sad

The February sweeps main story must be about Adam, I see it coming along with Jill's kidnapping, this is another plot device of JFP as of November '2012 with Victoria's kidnapping, there isn't setup at all but a way to bring back Colin. How about if Colin is cleared (ample time) and shows up on Jill's doorstep because he wants his ladylove back in life and Esther's disdain along with everyone else and move the story forward....No we get another sorry ass plot story....good Lord and pass the ammunition Wink

I have to agree with SoapArmageddon. The show is slowly getting back to being more about romance and relationships and their consequences. Now if only the writers could figure out how to make all of it feel more like classic Y&R. Kay Alden no longer works at B&B, so why isn't SONY hiring her to be a (third) co-head writer? She is the only living link to Bill Bell's writing of Y&R, so why aren't TPTB taking advantage of that?

Anyway, I can imagine that Nick will stand behind Sharon when the truth comes out about her switching Summer's paternity results. Imagine, though, if Nick realizes the only way to stand behind and protect Sharon is to swallow his pride and allow Summer to remain Jack's child? He obviously knows Jack is a good father (remember yesterday how Summer said Jack texts her "teenagers say the darnedest things" on Wednesday's show? Clearly intended as an "awww, what a sweet dad" moment!) so if he lets her remain Jack's, she'll be loved and Nick can still have that close relationship with Summer that they're rebuilding--like with that awkward father/daughter dance in his club yesterday. Imagine the fallout if/when Phyllis returns with the bombshell of Sharon sneaky deed?! If it were Bill Bell writing/fixing this, the secret would stay covered for YEARS! I think the writers may have Nick do this very stuff because he's expressed guilt at not being there for Sharon and for lying(/covering up) himself all those years when Summer's paternity was technically a big question mark.

Soaps should be about this kind of stuff--what people do seemingly for love (and, occasionally, revenge!) and the consequences of those actions. Sharon and Nick need to get back together, rebuild their relationship, Sharon her mental health, and years from now-- BOOM! --it all comes out and creates more story. It's planting seeds for future story because this logically needs to die down and things move forward. We've been watching Sharon talk to Cassie for months now--confess, stand by her, conceal another secret out of guilt, let's and move forward!

As for Jill's "kidnapping"... Yes, it clearly Colin, but couldn't he have swung around in a chair to reveal himself as not the Music a Box Collector, but Colin wanting another chance? Jill doesn't HAVE to take him back on the same day of his reveal! Maybe HE knows something about the box and Jill HAS to work with him to figure out this whole (tepid) mystery of Kay's music box? Then she might actually forgive him...but how does someone work with or forgive a criminal who does YET ANOTHER criminal act--perpetrated AGAINST them, to boot?! That's DUMB writing. Characters should be shades of gray--not all good or all bad! Colin will have no longevity in Genoa City if he's returned to be all evil and sneaky. We knew he was a baddie, so they should have brought him back doing something good. I guess we'll see what happens, but in this story, I don't have much faith.

Love how Chavez inteviews the con in an open room, with the door open, so lil Kevin can look in and glare, and wonder if the con likes it with or without handcuffs.

I, too, think the kidnapper is Colin.

I found Wednesday USA show to be almost unwatchable. The Lily thing was poorly done. Devon should never have let Hilary get downstairs with her luggage. He should have clued nitwit Lily in, that he was in charge and she had no right to tell any guest to leave. The Nikki bullshit about Dildo's daddy from 40 years ago, that never happened in the first place, was piss poor writing and acting and to top it off, she is still wearing that dead animal on top of the bleach blonde do. Dildo and the lady in the motel, was really some bad stuff. I just cannot believe the mentality of these writers. Just when I think, it can't get worse, it does. HARLEE, I doubt Feb sweeps will be about Adam, with his last day being January 30.

I think the writing has gotten better actually going back to about late Oct/early Nov.

Today's episode's ending with Victor walking in was good, and the show has done a good job of making you (or me at least) want to tune back in the next day.

I noticed several times today where the show lost an opportunity to enhance the dialogue on screen with it's OLD score. I tweeted RC Cates yesterday about the old stuff and he said "...We have been putting it in here and there and plan to continue. Smile "

I know I've heard one, maybe two of the old songs, but that's it. Anyone else hear the old stuff?
