HomeTVDays of Our LivesDays of Our Lives Posts Biggest W18-49 Ratings in Two Years; Largest Overall Audience in Three Years Jamey Giddens January 11, 2014 12 Comments Santa left behind quite the belated Christmas gift for NBC's Days of Our Lives. The Peacock's lone daytime sudser was watched by over three million total viewers the week of Dec. 30-Jan. 3! In addition to achieving its largest overall audience in three years, DAYS was watched by 669,000 women 18-49. The sudser hadn't seen numbers this impressive in the coveted demo since Nov. 21-25, 2011. DAYS was up 42 percent among W18-34 over the same time period last year. The 48-year-old serial was up 28 percent among W18-49, 21 percent among W25-54 and 23 percent in total viewers over the same week last season. If you aren't watching DAYS, you are missing hella-good soap right now! From Abigail's (Kate Mansi) shocking tryst with EJ (James Scott), to Brady's (Eric Martsolf) harrowing substance abuse battle and Nicole (Arianne Zucker)'s forbidden love for Eric (Greg Vaughan), DAYS has become the go-to soap for thrilling small town drama. I am living my life for the day Sami (Alison Sweeney) figures out EJ stepped out on her with a coed. Tell us what you think of DAYS these days in the comments! 12 Responses jpp1975 January 11, 2014 DAYS totally deserves its ratings. It is SO GOOD right now. EJAbby alone was making it a must watch this week. I know Sammy is EJ’s one true love and all, but that Horton cabin stuff–she chased that man around the cabin! I’ve never seen Elvis look that helpless before, like he was just powerless to resist Abby. I hope they do eventually become good friends–if she survives Sammy finding out–EJ needs a friend. And nuWill seems like a good actor–I hope he proves to have chemistry with Sonny, I just miss Chandler Massey because he really put his stamp on the character. I have been watching DAYS daily since I was a kid in ’92 (only quitting from around ’06-’08), and this is one of the rare times I’m loving the entire show! It’s been on fire for quite some time now, and it continues to deliver. Here’s to hoping their ratings continue to rise. Log in to Reply liason4real January 11, 2014 DOOL is the only soap opera that I never really watched, but know enough from this site and reading soap mags over the years to check out Abby scenes with AJ, which were smoking hot!   Log in to Reply blake3b January 12, 2014 Days is the soap that deserves the high ratings IMO. Days has been hot non-stop for at least a year now. It’s the only soap I can stand to watch anymore. It’s funny that EJAbby just started a few days ago and they are already the show’s hottest couple. They will definitely help make the show even better, and we need it after Kristen left. Log in to Reply Duchess January 12, 2014 You can add one more viewer because I just started watching again thanks to all the buzz about EJabby and they did not let me down! Those cabin scenes were beyond smoking hot :8) :O I’m hoping we get plenty more where those came from. I don’t know all of the history with EJami but EJabby has off the charts chemistry, the good girl bad boy story, disapproving parents, and the against all odds love story going for it. So I’m hoping that this is going somewhere because there was so much buzz around it that a non-Days watcher like me just had to watch. Go EJabby!!! Log in to Reply Mollymayhey January 12, 2014 Ummmm…ya’ll know these ratings are from the week of the Dec 30 till the 3rd. I don’t even thing ABby was on that week. It was EJ helping Sami with the murder and them spending NYE at Sonny’s club. Abby wasn’t even a blip on the freaking radar. If anything was responsible for high ratings…it was what was ACTUALLY AIRING IN THE EPISODE. Really. Log in to Reply harlee490 January 13, 2014 Days is producing the best stories for a soap opera in years, all the slow churning of stories and telling them in what soap opera do best by playing beats and telling thorough stories from start to finish. Then as the Kristen wedding and because of how once again of the setup, you’re getting the aftermath story. $) Which should had been happening on YR with Katherine’s death and we got hardly any long term story coming from YR but Nikki being a baby-mama of Dylan, because we all know who that is… |( Days & BB is the only soaps I watch which is actually telling long term stories, as Bill Bell always had done for decades and entertaining the hell of out of me!  Log in to Reply angrierblackerman January 13, 2014 Days is the best show on the air currently. I still watch Y&R hoping it will get better, had to drop GH due to ABC yanking them from Hulu and making them almost impossible to watch. Days is where it’s at! Otherwise, you can watch GH one week after airing on the free Hulu.com. I’m glad to see DAYS is pulling in some new fans. I watched since 1986. I always felt DAYS was the put-upon stepchild of soaps. Now, the level of writing is better and it’s finally getting its due. Log in to Reply angrierblackerman January 13, 2014 [quote=Patchworks]If you have cable, you can still watch GH in real time. It’s too much of a hassle to keep up with. I would usually binge watch on weekends. Sadly, I dumped cable last year due to costs. I only have High Speed Internet and Netflix. Didn’t get Hulu Plus, because I don’t watch much else besides soaps. I am not purchasing a Hulu Plus account just for GH alone. My GH days are unfortunately, DONE. It won’t hurt the show though, since I am not a Nielsen household and only watched online. Days is my favorite soap now. Days is my new ‘All My Children’, not because I predict it will do bad, but because a lot of the stories and drama are paced like AMC and very well written. I think Lorraine Broderick is doing most of this, because Tomlin and Whitesell are clueless. Log in to Reply akbad806 January 14, 2014 BABY….I have officially quit watching Y&R and become a secret DAYS fan. Watched the whole Kristen exit on YT, which was excellent soap opera. Then I saw Kate, Gabi, and Sami’s murdering Nick and I fell back in love with DAYS!!!!! I was a fan of the show from the early 90′s until 2007 when they started the Dimera/Brady feud (I was not a fan of Hogan Sheffer’s version of the show whatsoever). Bout to check out the episodes of EJ/Abby hooking up on Smith Island as we speak…it’s already juicy. Gon’ head Lorraine Broderick!!!!!!! Give Salem the business and high ratings honey..
