Elaine Stritch Stuns Kathie Lee With The F-Bomb on Today (VIDEO)

Show business legend Elaine Stritch recently stopped by NBC’s The Today Show to promote her new documentary.  However, she drew headlines for a whole other reason when she dropped an “F-bomb” that failed to get bleeped.

The veteran comedienne used the term to answer a question co-host Kathie Lee asked about Stritch being known for her “big mouth.”  Having been aware of said mouth, the flabbergasted host maybe should have rethought her line of questioning!

Watch the clip below to see Kathie Lee and Hoda look ridiculously uncomfortable.

Elaine Stritch was a tough, old broad even way back when it wasn't politically incorrect to call someone a "tough, old broad". She's also an American original. Smile

Kathy Lee Gifford, on the other hand, proves that anybody, absolutely ANYBODY, no matter how vapid, self-serving, or hypocritical can be a television success story.....not a big fan of Hoda either.

If you like Elaine Stritch, check out her 1970s British sitcom, Two's Company on YouTube. She played an American writer who moved to London and hired a snooty butler who doesn't like Americans (she's not too fond of the Brits, either). Think Maude with a butler in England. It was a very funny show!

The first time I heard Elaine Stritch I was about 12 years old or so. It was on British radio back in the early 80s. She was a guest on the program "Just a Minute". She was hilarious, of course. Smile

I was vacationing with relatives and wondered why she was so famous there; I had no idea about the sitcom, Gord. Thanks for that.

I read many years ago that producers of Golden Girls when constructing the show before airing wanted ES as Dorothy. They wanted "a Bea Arthur type" which ES fits perfectly and then simply asked BA and rest is history. I always thought they should had ES play Gloria, Dorothy's sister. Big smile
