MCE, EH, AH, GR, HK, Ian, JM earned their coin. Victor is fly on his G5. He told Chelsea they would get that baby back. SO GOOD right now. Im telling yall Amelia has been taking lessons.

Sounds great. Maybe he will wear his Super Bowl ring. Or maybe, a story-line will develop where Victor buys an NFL Team -- The Genoa City _______________. Crazies!

Because one of the SeaHawks dropping in on Victor Newman makes so much sense.

Bobbyew: I just posted the same thing, but in a different thread: AH brought it today. I do not know if Billy Miller did her a favor by leaving, but she drove those scenes today!

Her hairbrush was sent to cosmotology school.

LOL. I'm sure this is very necessary to the essence of the show. Where are all the people talking about stunt casting? I mean, MAB was raked over the coals for it, bring it on now for this regime aswell.

And why is it everytime a "name" comes by to Y&R, Victor is the one who always gets to be in scenes with them? Jesse Ventura, etc.

Too funny...the first brush flunk the course. Wink I think AH was been stepping up her acting game (maybe not her hair) since the Delia debacle and now with DT returning the girl has been good.

The player actually remarked in an interview that Y and R is his guilty pleasure and they decided to offer him a walk-on. He said he was excited beyond words.

That basketball or whatever player he is, must be related to Tyler.

He's a cutie and if they offered him a walk on because he loves the show I am sure it is a blast for him.

Years ago they had Jill run into "Survivor" Jerri at Gina's. Maybe a survivor castoff was too beneath Braeden.

maybe because the player is a huge Y&R fan and wants to have scenes with Eric Braeden, just like Stephan A Smith said he wants to go to GH to work for Sonny.

This to me isn't stunt casting, stunt casting is Donna Mills, or bringing in characters from another soap with no story to grab viewers. Or bringing back vets and not really using them but putting them in all their promos. This is to me a famous, accomplished huge fan of a show that expressed interest in doing a walk on, and they let him.

It could be worked in better, like ol Vic wants to buy the Seahawks, or the Packers, since the Show is in Wisconsin.

I thought that bringing the Milwaukee Brewers back in 2007 was far more realistic.

I don't see what this accomplishes either. And it is a stunt.

Anytime ANY of the soaps ANNOUNCE a name coming on for "guest" episodes, it really is a stunt. Just a way for people and press to talk.

It they are casting someone for a longer term role, like Ray Wise, it is more about the actor who they think can play the role.

MAB DID do it way too much. And you see GH doing it now as well.

Not so much on Days or BB, at least from what we see posted here on DC.

^^ Besides the Celebrity Matchmaker (cannot remember her name right now) approximately two years ago, I cannot remember DAYS having any sort of stunt-casting.

By the way, I don't consider the recently departed Ralph Waite, who played Father Matt, as stunt casting.

^^^Yoryla...I'm guessing you are AGREEING with me when I say I don't really see Days or BB do this. Unless I'm reading your post wrong?

I do know Kyle Richards from "Real Housewives" had a recent bit on Days. But do they do the stunt thing like GH or YR? No.

pfer, Yes, I was echoing your point. You are absolutely right, especially on DAYS. That's one of the reasons I like that show so much, because they don't *have* to rely on things such as stunt casting at all. Their storylines are just so good.

B&B has had some of these special appearances more, and I'm not sure if you could consider Princess Theodora of Greece and Denmark who plays Alison, as stunt casting.
