Y&R’s Melody Thomas Scott to Appear on The Crazy Ones

The Young and the Restless vixen Melody Thomas Scott is taking a break from the drama of Genoa City to guest star on The Crazy Ones. TV Guide Magazine's Michael Logan is reporting Scott has landed a role on the CBS comedy. She will play a librarian who can't hold her liquor. Sound familiar? The actress will mix things up with Robin Williams and All My Children alum Sarah Michelle Gellar.

According to Scott:

I was originally called in for another role on the show and was told by the producers that I was too young, which was fabulous! But they thought Robin and I would play off each other well, so they created a role for me in a different episode. It's a great character and not at all glamorous like Nikki. This poor girl is really trying to be sexy but she's just not cutting it — and she has no qualms about pulling out her flask during library hours.

Getting sloshed at the library sounds like my type of people! Look for Scott's episode to air in April.

Good for Melodie and CBS in general. Way to use your actors on other cbs shows. As for Y&R that Ian is the devil. Fake Cassie got Chris Egan beat gas lighting Sharon. She seems to smart for that though. Little Faith rocking the Burberry scarf being the Newman princess she is. Cane is housekeeping supervisor.LOL Stop Neil from begging. Nikki got 5mill quick but they couldn’t get 2mill when Victoria was kidnapped not long ago. Nikki’s coat is beautiful. Glad Neil is out of his misery and don’t need to beg anymore. Bo and Luke Duke look hot going to save the day. Faith don’t want nothing to do with Avery. Great preview, too.

Go head MTS get those guest spots!!! I remember back in the day alot of daytime stars would book a guest star role on primetime and it would be huge.

I’m glad to see the daytime stars in primetime. I just wish these daytime stars didn’t have all these network constraints that blocked them from appearing on other network shows…

Congrats to MTS…soaps no matter what network use to always use their soap stars in episodic TV. We use to say “hey they are on _________ or was on ________ ”

On the weekends if home I turn on MeTV or AntennaTV for the grand-babies because it’s safe and golly our soap divas & divos are all over the place, Constance Ford, Jeanne Cooper, Katherine Hayes, Jed Allen, Don Stewart, etc.

Speaking of Jeanne Cooper I watched a western comedy from ’70 w\Henry Fonda & Kirk Douglas and lo and behold there is Jeanne playing a prostitute in the saloon the sheriff (HF) came in and ask her “sleep late” she respond “work late” then my eyes bugged and screamed when Jeanne lifted the covers and said “sheriff we could discuss it” showing her breasts & thighs to Henry & the audience….I LAMO so Jeanne ;)

So, are we headed for another murder who-done-it for Ian?

I thought JFP didn’t allow “moon lighting” from her daytime cast? I think I heard MTS mention that in one of those Q&A sessions awhile back?

I am hoping that Melody doesn’t wear one of her God Awful Wigs on Crazy. I don’t mind her too much, but cannot understand how she can wear those awful mismatched, different color hair pieces that must have come from the 99 cent store. Just absolutely unbelievable how a show of that caliber, could have such bad hair people.

At least it is close in color, not a reddish cast against the horrible bleached crap Nikki has.

    Good for MTS.

I’ve always like her as Nikki, obviously, and she’s seems pretty happy doing YR these days.

I know a LOT of people were all against her when she was trying to renegotiate her contract years ago, but I think a lot of the big soap “stars” from the 80’s and 90’s have had to rethink what Daytime is these days, and just accept it. I think she has.

And I hate to say this, but “kudos” to JFP, I guess for finally keeping both Nikki and Victor back on the front burner since about late August or so. Phelps, in my opinion, even though having changed a lot of the visual aspects of the show, has had some sort of realization that she can’t remove these vet characters from the show no matter how much she wants to. And you know she does. Burton back fired on her, and I don’t think I can think of a glaring example since then. Also if that means someone behind the scenes has a noose around her neck (Angelica, Margot) so be it.
