Now Judith Light is returning to the world of situation comedies. The One Life to Live and Who's The Boss? alum—currently enjoying a second season playing a coke-snorting, brothel-running, shipping tycoon on TNT's Dallas— has been cast in ABC's comedy pilot The Winklers. Based on the real-life of Happy Days legend Henry Winkler, The Winklers is a father-in-law/son-in-law buddy comedy. Light is set to play Winkler's wife. Deadline broke the casting news. She’s a phenomenal talent, and she’s deliciously wicked on the new Dallas. Log in to Reply harlee490 March 18, 2014 I’m glad she’s returning to comedy. I liked WTB, her & Danza had great chemistry. The show had a great assemble of talents on the sitcom. It reminds me of Joan Lunden, whom I met when she and Charles Gibson brought Good Morning America to Canada for a week back in the ’90s. Like Radnor with Light, I was struck by how interested Lunden was in my life and career and really listened to me. That conversation left an impression on me that made me redefine what I considered to be a success in life. It’s nice not only to see that this type of person exists in what is known to be a cut-throat world, but that she is noticed for it.
