DC #754: EXCLUSIVE – Sean Carrigan Talks Monday’s Steamy Episode of Y&R and Tyler Perry’s Single Mom’s Club

As Dr. Ben "Stitch" Rayburn on CBS Daytime's The Young and the Restless, Sean Carrigan has soap fans aching to check out his bedside manner. On today's episode of the Daytime Confidential podcast, Carrigan joins Jamey Giddens and Luke Kerr to dish about life in Genoa City.

How has the veteran of primetime, film and stand-up comedy adapted to soap hunkdom? He answers this question and more. One question he won't touch is whether he's Team Stitch and Victoria, or Team Stitch and Ashley. He does reveal which squish name he and Amelia Heinle prefer for their red-hot pairing. It doesn't rhyme with "itch" either!

Carrigan also talks about his big screen turn as the love interest for Wendi McLendon-Covey's character in Tyler Perry's Single Mom's Club. How did the actor handle all of the improvisation on the set of the comedy?

Shifting focus back to Y&R, Carrigan drops hints about the episode of the sudser airing Monday, March 31. According to the gorgeous star, the "steamy" installment is one fans of his character won't want to miss!

Congrats! to DC for getting some love from the soap genre and having the opportunity to shine. Getting actors, persons in charge are a welcome addition for the listener. It adds a bit “classe”…”manger votre coeur” other sites ;) :p

This was fun, short & sweet. He sure isn’t giving much details but I understand he doesn’t want to blow storylines. I personally think his first scene with ED\Ashley was smoking HOT. They had a natural chemistry instantly sparking off the TV screen!! >) I wish ED was back FT to explore the possibility being Victoria’s step-mommy for years…it could be juicy… ;)

I will say Congrats DC but I have to point out that I love listening to you guys and not your interviews. I have DC site bookmarked, I follow you guys on twitter and I have subscribed to your podcast. I didn’t enjoy any of the interviews you did with Michael Logan, Dan Kroll, Angelica etc.

Well, testy, testy aren’t we?:O Why shouldn’t DC do any interviews as other soap sites? This isn’t an exclusive club for Michael L., Dan K. Sara B. or Micheal F., heck spread the love around each do their own style of interviewing…it’s a dog eat dog world ;) Keep it up!

I myself only have enjoyed Sean’s character development. His character is much better compared to one note Dylan…if he had started as many had in daytime he would be a star of this genre because of his acting abilities. ;)

THIS is the character that should be getting the screen time that Burton was getting.

I’ve liked Ben since he was intro’d. And he was brought on slow.

He’s shown chemistry with every character he’s interacted with.

Glad he’s on contract, and glad that he’s the one that Victoria turned to.

I just hope they don’t wreck him with this “secret” he has.

    Can we drop “Stitch” though?
