HomeTVCBS DaytimeNick to Sharon on Y&R: “My Dad Deliberately Tried to Drive You Crazy!” (SNEAK PEEK) Jamey Giddens April 23, 2014 19 Comments Can you get a refund on electroshock therapy? Today on CBS Daytime's The Young and the Restless, Sharon (Sharon Case) learns just how far Victor (Eric Braeden) went to keep her away from Nick (Joshua Morrow). Will she ever forgive her ex-hubby/daddy-in-law for making her see dead Cassies (Camryn Grimes) behind every wisteria? On the other side of Genoa City, Paul (Doug Davidson) is all up in Dylan (Steve Burton) and Avery's (Jessica Collins) latest battle with Ian Ward (Ray Wise). If Ian is ever locked back up, he shouldn't expect any cakes with files in them from Avery. Watch Wednesday's Y&R sneak peek after the jump! 19 Responses bobbyew April 23, 2014 This week so far has been everything. If they score todays episode right it will be a Hat Trick. Sharons reaction on top of CG &JM’s acting should be an Emmy reel for next year. Log in to Reply harlee490 April 23, 2014 This will be good with fauxCassie  Gosh according Hey Mon there is lots of Ian today…UGH! Just not interested in an another rapist story and hope fauxCassie isn’t Mariah…that’s not good either…more Tyler to contend with and he’s just needs to pack it up and GO! |( Log in to Reply stoney07 April 23, 2014 Harlee I don’t mind Tyler. LOL. I think if Lassie is Mariah, then they still need to make her some kind of relationship to Sharon…idk how they can do that without making it silly, but yeah…I think I would rather have her be Mariah as opposed to a Lily doppleganger like some people are saying. I don’t think I could deal with that. And if Tyler wasn’t already bad enough for some, having him come to town and chase a woman who looks exactly like his ex would make him seem creepy. Log in to Reply bobbyew April 23, 2014 Y&R is back in full effect. Ian putting that boy in his will and setting things in motion for Avery, devilish dope fiend moves. Noah finally getting busy to his mama being called a lunatic with a secret. The flashback was needed. Sharon Case, CG, EB and JM superb! Log in to Reply Mets82 April 23, 2014 I feel for Sharon and then I dont. I mean she went through shock therapy because she thought she saw Cassie, yet I wonder if she had just spilled the secret that she has, then all of this probably wouldnt have happened. Log in to Reply Mel_O April 23, 2014 If there is any justice Victor will be shunned – the way Adam was for gas lighting Ashley – if not worse. But knowing the way this show operates, and caters to EB/TGVN, I seriously doubt that will happen. It’ll be a week of “Victor, how could you do this!?” Then all will be forgotten. Log in to Reply Mets82 April 23, 2014 Then what happens when Sharon’s secret comes out? I mean Nikki, Nick, Victoria will be played for fools as they turn on Victor yet he was right that Sharon was hiding something. Btw, isn’t Sharon rocking that hot red dress? Damn, she looks damn fine!! Log in to Reply drewz April 24, 2014 The faux Cassie stuff has been great this week, but ultimately this is a case of a show’s timeline getting really f-ed up by aging a character. The real Cassie would have to be 33 years old at the very least. Nick’s affair with Phyllis was a result of his grief, and it is well established that Summer is approaching her 19th birthday. I can buy JM and SC playing mid-forties even though he is a little bit younger, but CM seems younger than Noah and there is no way she can play 14 or 15 years older than Summer. No way this character can be a twin without blowing even the wide suspension of disbelief we all afford soaps. Also, they need a damn Phyllis recast ASAP. I vote for Jamie Luner. She carries herself so much like Stafford. Always thought she should have been cast as a sister. (Yawn) Log in to Reply bc1954 April 24, 2014 @Mets82: I would think that Sharon’s ‘illness’ and TGVN playing to that unstableness would make family and friends kinda forgive Sharon’s desperation at the time to change the DNA results. LOVED the way it ended with Nick’s voice while the camera’s on a lone Victor. Very ‘soap’ dramatic! Log in to Reply FoxCrane April 24, 2014 @drewz If they were to go with FauxCassie being another daughter born to Frank Barritt some time AFTER Noah was born (1997), then they could at least keep the SORASING of Noah, FauxCassie, and Summer consistent. Example: Noah (b. 1997); FauxCassie (b. ~2002); Summer (b. 2006) – and that way they could basically have Adamson, Grimes, and King believably play their characters in the same chronological order that they are as well. And imho – the suspension of disbelief required to imagine that a half-sister via bio-dad Frank Barritt could look so much like Cassie wouldn’t be as big a stretch as when Lynn Marie Latham had Carmen Mesta have “an identical cousin” (Ines Mesta) a la Patty and Kathy in “The Patty Duke Show” .. lol! Log in to Reply aroundhound April 24, 2014 drewz, If we’re not willing to suspend all disbelief, we should not watch. As far the age not fitting, keep in mind that the fake Cassie is the age that she is, period, and she looks like what they think Cassie would look like at her age, not Cassie’s real age. So I give the writers a pass on that. However, they also brought her in to gaslight Sharon looking exactly the same as the imaginary Cassie in Sharon’s head. She never described the imaginary Cassie in her head to Victor, so it’s impossible that the doppelganger he found would look the exact same. Bet hey, if this bothered me too much, I would just stop watching. I’m still watching. Was just saying that if they make her an identical twin born to Sharon (and stolen or something) the chronology is blown. Log in to Reply pferrando April 24, 2014 I don’t mind the age thing either. The most logical way to do this is to have notCassie be a twin somehow taken away or “lost”. They wrote it in Wednesday’s show having Sharon comment that she was identical to Cassie down to her eyes, hair and movement. Twin, I say! And please “no” to the idea that she is Mariah. We’ve seen a very tall and thin Mariah, and again, Tyler said himself that Lily reminded him of Mariah. How can this Cassie twin do that exactly? Log in to Reply harlee490 April 24, 2014 Drewz…when hasn’t soaps played with ages of characters…ahhh since their inception. I have no probably about the age and Noah was born before Sharon found Cassie but she was a little tyke. Who cares what the age is if CG is back on CONTRACT and in the midst of the Newman family…I’m a sincerely happy dude!…but this time isn’t sweet, innocence Cassie and she & Victor will always have animosity or tension between the two  Log in to Reply harlee490 April 24, 2014 When Tabby was in LA wasn’t it mention something about Mariah being located there or from there? Something rings in head about the mention but I could be getting it confused with Alzheimer’s setting in you know hehe fauxCassie was from the south as Victor mention… :~ Log in to Reply Mets82 April 24, 2014 I dont like when age doesnt matter. To me, if someone is born in 2004 and in 2014 they look near 25 or 30, thats what I cant stand. Why bother having the kid as a baby if they are going to rapidly age them? You really cant invest in characters if they are not on that long. Log in to Reply pferrando April 25, 2014 Harlee…I remember him saying they hung out at places in LA. But I probably didn’t pay enough attention since I really don’t like the character or storyline. I just don’t want this “Cassie” to be Mariah. Just wouldn’t make sense.
