Log in to Reply bobbyew May 27, 2014 This mofo with that horrible SL has got to go. #KeepyourassinNashville Log in to Reply Cornfed May 27, 2014 Can this dude shake the whole Affliction line out of his closet? Dude is seriously fashion-challenged… Log in to Reply Restless Fan May 27, 2014 Everyone involved in the creative aspect of that show, JFP, Angelica McDaniel, Steve Kent, overestimate the impact his character and that actor have had on the series. Go Away, Please! Log in to Reply soapjunkie88 May 27, 2014 FY Burton. Dylan is about the least interesting thing in Genoa City. Yeah he has his fans that would probably watch him reading a phone book but that character is so boring and his acting – even without playing a character with brain damage – is still wooden. Damn you, Phelps. Log in to Reply SoapArmageddon May 27, 2014 Oh please, Steve. The only thing that is going to be “shaking” is the FF button on my remote. Log in to Reply LauraWrightCrazy May 27, 2014 Am I the only person not bothered by his character? Lol Log in to Reply tmac May 27, 2014 You’re not alone, LauraWrightCrazy. I have no problem with Dylan or Avery. Worse actor ever on this show in my 35+ years of watching. Log in to Reply jezza May 27, 2014 I actually like Steve Burton, and I didn’t have a problem with Dylan until he became Nikki’s son. Now he thinks the entire world revolves around Ian’s presence in Genoa City, but I’ve yet to see why everyone is so afraid of Ian Ward’s presence in Genoa City. He seems quite harmless and insignificant to me. Log in to Reply LauraWrightCrazy May 27, 2014 Worst actor in the last 35+ years? Lol I’ll respect your opinion, but when I think of the WORST actor in Y&R’s history, I immediately think of Julia Pace Mitchell’s Sofia. Lol but, to each their own. I think I got over Dylan’s presence when I came to terms with the fact that JFP isn’t going anywhere so neither will he. He & Avery do look beautiful together. & I love seeing scenes with he and Nick. Log in to Reply 1titanman May 27, 2014 He such a miss with this character on YR…He should of stayed at GH Log in to Reply angrierblackerman May 27, 2014 I think the only thing that can save the character of Dylan for me is to make him a bad guy on the show. He is just ‘there’ right now, they need to give him something interesting to do. Log in to Reply LauraWrightCrazy May 27, 2014 I can agree with that angrierblackman Log in to Reply rjm118 May 27, 2014 Worst kept storyline secret. Of course they are going to make Paul his father, that permanantly nails him to the canvas. I dont like the character at all, he is beyond bland and it was pointless to saddle Nikki with another son. This was all done so that Y&R can officially become the Dylan Macovoy Show. Thanks Jill, you drove away our favorites and forced this on us. I fast forward thru at minimum half an episode IF I even bother watching at all. Log in to Reply sillytee May 27, 2014 i thought he was talking about victoria’s whos-the-daddy-predicament. Log in to Reply sillytee May 27, 2014 on another note:why do i feel like i’m watching an episode of Inspector Gadget when I see Adam’s scenery-chewing hand???????????????? Log in to Reply yojoromo4469 May 27, 2014 I am thinking about 12 negative SB comments to 5 so so ones. I am disappointed. Of course, as we all know, watching Dildo, is like watching paint dry. Got to love the TALK episode from July or so 2013 with Cupcake. Log in to Reply Cornfed May 27, 2014 LWC, my love, may i ask how long you’ve been watching Y/R? (the truth! LOL). You honestly can’t see 30-40 year viewers resenting this guy eating up half their show? (his own sets, back story, friends, retconned history with legacy characters, etc) Log in to Reply yojoromo4469 May 27, 2014 XLNT post Iowa. We have been watching for over 35 years and agree with what you wrote. I just don’t see the appeal. He is just plain dull and one note and expressionless. Log in to Reply LauraWrightCrazy May 27, 2014 IOWAHAWKEYE haven’t watched for 35 years. 10 years or so for me.. while Dylan may come off as being dull, Steve Burton isn’t the horrible actor I read about in these posts. Compared to Julia?.. Couldn’t stand listening to “words” fall out of her mouth. Nothing she said seemed believable. THAT was a horrible actress. I’ve watched Steve on GH since around 2000 & while that may not be an awful long time, I never once thought the man couldn’t act. Does that answer your question, BFF? Lol Ps I’ve missed you Log in to Reply LauraWrightCrazy May 27, 2014 & btw I never said he wasn’t taking up “precious” screen time.. Only that I don’t believe he’s a terrible actor. Log in to Reply LauraWrightCrazy May 27, 2014 IOWAHAWKEYE I’ll also add that I TOTALLY agree with you in that the man needs a stylist SEE. We have THAT! Log in to Reply sanka9 May 27, 2014 I cant stand this idiot and that awful character he plays. I cant stand his voice, his blank stare, his posture etc. This man shouldn’t even be called an actor. He is USELESS. He looks like Pinocchio in human form. He is wooden in all his scenes. Log in to Reply beaglesimpson May 27, 2014 The “who’s your daddy storyline”……hmmm. Which one?? Ben or Billy? Nick or Jack? Paul or Ian? And possibly some years down the road who will Chloe’s baby-daddy gonna be now that she slept with Kevin and stole Billy’s juice? Very creative story-telling. Anyone wanna wager there will be a “who’s your daddy ” storyline with Neil, Hilary, and Devon? Log in to Reply beaglesimpson May 27, 2014 The “who’s your daddy storyline”……hmmm. Which one?? She has been gone so long, I barely remember who she is or was. Now if she had compared him to the dude playing Tyler, she might have had something important to say, but DILDO would still win, hands down. He is just terrible and no matter what anyone says, you can’t get past it. Log in to Reply LauraWrightCrazy May 28, 2014 Um yojo.. I was referring back to a comment about he being the worst actor on this show in the last 35 years… So your argument is invalid cheers! Log in to Reply LauraWrightCrazy May 28, 2014 & yes, he is a better actor than the guy playing Tyler… who is also better than Julia lol so there’s my opinion. & I’m sticking to it. Lol Log in to Reply pennywise555 May 28, 2014 Of course Paul will be Dylan’s dad, and Victor his ally, and a good-girl like Avery will be his girlfriend, and every decent character in Genoa City will like (or love) Dylan. Mom(Nikki)and Dad(Paul) will be purified into Mary and Joseph, because Dylan must be as wonderful as Jesus. SNORE I love a nice guy character like John Abbott, but John Abbott had flaws, such as being attracted to naughty women like Dina and Jill. John was also at odds with Victor Newman over personal & business matters. But Dylan will never be interesting because the writers know SBu is JFP’s fav and I’ll bet they’re self-censoring regarding his character to remain in her good graces. There are all types of actors on soaps, and those who don’t bring it in the acting category usually make up for it with the sexy scenes. But not SBu. SBu’s “sex scenes” have him buttoned up from head to toe. What a joke. Why is he playing a romantic lead if he won’t even take his shirt off? SBu ruins, and will continue to ruin any female he is paired with if this is allowed to continue. A half dressed female looks ridiculous draped over an uptight male partner. Peter Bergman. who is 20 years older than him, is still bringing it (shirtless & sexy) in his love scenes so SBu has no excuse. Too many allowances are made for SBu, & Dylan, which affect everything around him and it hurts the show. Log in to Reply pferrando May 28, 2014 I also don’t understand the appeal of the actor. Nothing against him, just how Phelps thinks he is a centerpiece after just over a year. And God, what a boring clip. The affiliate should do a better job. Bleh.
