Roman and Arianna: Roman meets up with Arianna in the motel room and hopes that she’s changed her mind about quitting the case. She tells him that she hasn’t but feels guilty since going undercover was her idea in the first place. He reminds her that sometimes you just can’t walk away from an undercover case.

Roman asks Arianna what happened to make her want walk away. Arianna talks around the real reason for a while until she finally gives in and admits that she fell in love. Roman doesn’t think it’s a good enough reason but Arianna explains that the guy she fell for is smart and could figure everything out and blow her cover. Roman asks who she’s fallen in love with she admits that it’s Brady. Roman suggests that instead of quitting, they speed up the investigation. Arianna refuses because she doesn’t want Brady to ever learn about her past.

Roman sighs and sits her down and tells her that if Brady learns about her past and can’t get past it, than he’s not worth it anyway. Arianna doesn’t care, she says she can’t risk it. Roman warns her that if she doesn’t stay on the case, he’ll go and tell Brady himself. Arianna says she hates him and Roman replies she should join the club. He leaves saying that he’s doing this for her own good. READ MORE

EJ/Nicole/Stefano/Sami/Rafe: At the DiMera mansion, EJ wakes up and finds that Nicole is already up. He remembers changing Grace’s headstone and comments that he still can’t believe Sami was heartless and sadistic enough not to tell him about Grace. Then, he turns and looks at a photo of Nicole and Sydney and says that things are so much easier with Nicole.

Nicole runs into Stefano as she is getting ready to leave. Stefano asks her where she’s going. Nicole tells him that she’s going to runs some errands. He tells her that he’s on his way out too and asks if she would like a lift. Nicole asks where he’s off to and he explains he’s going to make sure is plan to get rid of Rafe has succeeded. Nicole frowns and Stefano wants to know why she isn’t happier about this since it’s what she wanted too.

Nicole asks if Rafe has left town yet and Stefano says he should be any time now. She wonders what he has on Rafe and Stefano explains what happened to Emily and how Meredith is going to tell Sami that Rafe killed his fiancée.

Meanwhile, at Sami’s townhouse, Sami’s busy getting Rafe and Allie’s lunches ready. She mixes up their lunches and laughs. Rafe and Sami enjoy the normalness of the moment and hug. READ MORE

Kate and Daniel: Kate visits Daniel in jail to confront him. While she’s there, she gets rattled by a daydream where she loses control and kisses him. When she snaps out of it, an annoyed Daniel demands to know what she wants. She tells him that it is his fault that Chloe is in a coma. He denies it and says he knows she poisoned Chloe and tries to get her to admit that she still has feelings for him and that’s the real reason she poisoned Chloe.

Kate admits nothing but accuses him of sleeping with Chloe the whole time he was sitting at Kate’s sick bed telling her he loved her. Daniel tells her that she knows that isn’t true. He begs her to admit the truth. Kate says the only thing she’ll admit is that he won’t be kissing anyone with those lips any time soon.

She starts to leave and calls for the guard and Daniel rips off his shirt to prove he’s not wearing a wire and demands that she frisk him. Kate ignores him and continues screaming for the guard. READ MORE

Sami/Meredith/Rafe/Roman:

On the docks, Sami runs into Meredith and asks her if they can talk. Meredith isn’t so sure, but Sami insists that they have loss in common and suggests it might help to talk. Meredith thinks that Sami wants to talk to her because after Emily’s death she found it easier to talk to strangers than people she was close to.

Meredith eventually sits down on the bench with Sami and opens up a bit about Emily. Meredith tells her how close she and Emily were and how even now she sometimes finds herself eager to tell Emily something before she remembers that she’s dead. Meredith says that they were so close until right before Emily died and that it all changed because of Rafe Hernandez.

Meredith admits that they all liked Rafe at first and that he was like someone out of a movie. Sami asks if he was the hero type and Meredith says he was. She adds that they all thought he would die for Emily, but instead she was the one who died. Then, Meredith gets too upset to talk about it any further and rushes off. READ MORE

EJ and Nicole:

EJ and Nicole are in bed together after having sex. EJ wants to know what’s bothering Nicole. She insists there’s nothing wrong, but EJ doesn’t believe her. He tells her that she’s been acting very weird lately. He thinks she’s really jumpy and keeps acting like she expects someone is going to take Sydney from her and she keeps looking at her cell phone. Nicole keeps insisting it’s nothing. EJ wonders if she’s behaving this way because of what happened to Grace. Nicole tells him, that it’s because he’s obsessed with Sami and she wonders if he would have married her if he had known Sami was pregnant at the same time she was. EJ assures her that he would have and tells her he loves her. Then, they kiss.

Later, EJ dreams that Nicole is in bed holding Sydney and then transforms in to Sami holding the baby. He wakes up and sits up quickly looking startled. Nicole wakes up and asks him what’s wrong. He says nothing’s wrong and holds her, still looking a little freaked out by the dream.

The Pier:

Lucas and Chloe are walking on the pier, when Daniel accidentally runs into Chloe. Chloe and Daniel gaze at each other for a moment, while an oblivious Lucas merely tells Daniel to walk where he’s going. Daniel apologizes and asks why they’re carrying so many bags and Lucas informs him that they just went shopping for their new house. He tells Daniel he should drop by sometime and is surprised when Daniel refuses. Daniel covers saying he can’t because of work. Lucas remembers he has to go meet Philip and leaves.

Daniel apologizes to Chloe for almost arousing Lucas’ suspicions. Chloe tells him he could come by sometime if it were a group thing. They are interrupted by a phone call from Kate, summoning Chloe to the Java Café. Chloe decides she doesn’t feel like dealing with Kate and tells Kate she can’t right now. Kate isn’t too happy about it but agrees to meet later. Chloe closes her phone and tells Daniel that she has to go to the Kiriakis mansion to get something for Lucas. Daniel offers to do it for her so she can avoid Victor, but she says Vic’s out of town. Then, she thanks him for always sticking up for her with Victor and Kate.

Nicole and Brady at the Java Café:

Nicole and Brady run into each other at the Java Café and chat together at one of the tables. Brady asks what’s wrong and she tells him nothing is wrong. Then, Nicole informs Brady that EJ got temporary full-custody of Johnny and won’t let Sami see him. Brady can’t believe EJ did that and Nicole explains he’s punishing Sami for lying about Grace. He asks Nicole if she’s okay with this arrangement and Nicole asks him not to tell anybody, but she’s going to help Sami see Johnny.

Brady wonders if Nicole is being nice to Sami because she’s still afraid that Mia will tell the truth and take Sydney from her. Nicole insists that she’s not doing this because of Mia. Brady sighs and says that he isn’t going to lecture her again, he just wants her to be happy. Nicole says she is happy and thanks Brady for caring. Then, Brady leaves to attend a meeting at St. Luke’s.

St. Luke’s:

Mia arrives at St. Luke’s and looks at the picture of Grace. Rafe shows up and sees her and they hug. Mia insists she’s okay and that she was just sad because she was thinking about Grace. Rafe has to go run some errands but tells Mia that they’ll talk later. Then, he leaves. READ MORE

Max/Melanie/Nathan:

Max finds Melanie at the hospital. He tells her that he’s there to drop out of med school. Melanie breaks it to him that she’s not going to London with him and tells him that she’s enrolled in Nursing School. Max is surprised at the news but supports her decision to do something good. Then, Nathan walks over to the nurse’s station behind them and Melanie reacts. Max looks over to see what she’s looking at and shakes his head smiling.

Nathan walks over to them and Melanie introduces them. Nathan finds out that she isn’t going to London anymore. Max smiles and says that he was just asking her why she changed her mind but that it seems like a mystery. Melanie insists that she doesn’t want to let Maggie down and that’s why she’s going to Nursing School. Nathan leaves. Melanie turns around a smacks Max telling him she could kill him for that.

Max points out that Melanie should really think about why she’s going to nursing school since she has a track record for making spur of the moment decisions because of a guy. He reminds her of how she acted when she met Philip. Melanie tells him that she can’t screw up Nathan’s life, but she could screw up Max’s if she goes with him. READ MORE

Maggie’s House:

Melanie freaks out about Nathan being in the house and takes out her cell phone to call the police, but he stops her when he grabs it from her. Melanie tells him that she doesn’t need the phone because she can scream. Melanie goes on to keep insulting him until Maggie arrives home and she discovers that Nathan is her grandson.

Nathan teases Melanie for thinking he was a pervert and asks Maggie to vouch for him. Maggie chuckles at them. She tells Melanie that Nathan’s staying with them while he does his internship at the hospital and that they’ll be seeing a lot of each other at home and at work. Melanie tells her that they won’t, because she’s going to move to London with Max.

Maggie is disappointed to hear she’s leaving, but Melanie points out that the only reason she stayed in Salem was because of Max. Maggie says she understands that family is important to her, she just hopes that she is moving towards something and not running away.

The Hospital:

At the hospital, Melanie tries to unquit her job. Her supervisor wants to know what or who changed her mind. Just then, Nathan walks over to the desk.

Chloe/Daniel/Father Matt:

Daniel runs into Chloe while out for a run. Chloe fantasizes about kissing him. She eventually snaps out of it and they discuss whether he plans on doing the medical segment with Kate and he tells her that he isn’t because of her. She informs him that she is no longer having second thoughts about breaking it off.

She tells him that she was just feeling weak before but now things are good with Lucas. She thanks him for always being there for her and says that she will always admire him when she thinks of him. Chloe has another flashback. When she snaps out of it, she asks if he knows who Kate got to replace him but he tells her he doesn’t know. She tells him that they’ll just have to settle for second best then. They shake hands and Chloe leaves. Daniel sits down, and gets summoned to the Java Café by Kate. READ MORE
