GH 3/5 - Maxie Wants Johnny Again? Franco Wants Jason Again!

• Claire summons Sonny to the police station
I can't seem to make myself interested in Claire.

• Sonny continues to try to connect with Dante, but Dante remains steadfast against him
I'm glad because if they rush the relationship between Sonny and Dante I'm going to have to call BS on the whole thing.  Sure I see Sonny wanting to know his son and wanting to make amends for what he did but I want Dante's distrust for him to last.  When they find a connection, I want to see that they worked for it.

• Ethan plays with more fire
I'm liking Ethan more than I ever have lately.  I think it helps that he's building a frienship with Johnny and is venturing outside of being Luke's bantering partner. 

• Lucky gets up in Johnny's grill about the attempted break in
I don't really understand Lucky's "copping" methods these days. 

• Maxie can't hide her renewed interest in Johnny
About FREAKING TIME.  I love that Maxie is seeing Johnny starting to spin out of control and you can see she wants to help him so much.  The emotional connection gets more intense with every scene they share establishing them to be concerned and loyal to each other.  Couple that with the already established physical attraction and we've got incredible couple potential for them!

• Spinelli's jealousy can't be contained
Spin was never what Maxie wanted and he's always know it.  Eventually I hope he does the right thing for him and for Maxie and let her go.  (Hopefully, that will leave Spin available to help Krissy in the aftermath of the abuse story.  His gentleness, patience and compassion would make him ideal for her!)

• Franco's latest warning puts Carly & Jason on edge
Carly should have told JAX about the Franco pic.  It was at Jossie's christening and Jax is her father!

• Alexis & Diane move in together....as law partners
I thought the Alexis and Diane stuff would be better than it is.  Like them both individially but too much of them together is overkill.

I am so glad over the jomax teaser ..it actually gives reason 4 bb 2 be on canvas without a solid pairing he is just in limbo...and honestly I miss ks fire for a man

Krissy and Spin -- now that is an inspired idea.  He is so childlike in many ways.  My big problem with Krissy/Ethan is that the age difference is compounded by how much more LIFE experience he has.  I could see Spin going way way slow with Krissy, being a friend and then on her 18th birthday him leaning in for a sweet gentle kiss.

I see JoMax/Spixie as sort of like Laura/Luke/Tracy - Laura and Spinelli see their partner in an idealized way, and Luke and Maxie both feel they are transformed by the love they share with them.  Tracy and Johnny are more kindered spirits - they care for the person they love as is with a total awareness of who the person is that they are loving - for better or worse.   I think idealized love only gets you so far and it can get kind of boring after a while because in order for the illusion to be maintained the couple almost has to exist in a bubble.

And I think because of the "geek" factor that Molly already "likes" him and that would be so cute to see Molly kind of jealous of Krissy, but propping them at the same time after she finds out Keifer is a bitch!

What a great comparison with the idealized love vs one that is grounded in reality and I think the comparison is valid.  I view Spixie vs JoMax in that EXACT same way.

As for Spin and Krissy I am so glad someone else sees the potential I do.  I think the story would almost be obligated to go slow just because of the trauma that Krissy has endured. After something like that you would think she would be wary and uncomfortable for a while.  She would be inclined to not trust a man easily and not trust her own judgment but Spinelli would be like a lifeboat for her because of his completely non-threatening demeanor.  His patience and gentleness could slowly bring her back to life so to speak. 

The "life experience" concern with Krissy and Ethan bothers me as well which is why I think Spin's more "innocent" approach to life would suit a relationship with Krissy in a unique way. 

And if they were to fall for each other the impact could ripple through the town.  Think of the connections between them.  Jason (Spin's mentor), Sam (Spin's friend and Krissy's sister), Sonny (Krissy's father doesn't like Spin but he works for Sonny by extension), Alexis (Spin's little herb buddy during the cancer storyline but looks totally different when he's dating Alexis' daughter).  Theere so much potential by extension that this could be a great story for both and FINALLY one where Spin's characteristics are an asset instead of a joke.  I think it could be fabulous.

I think Krissy and Spin would be totally cute....

But notice NOBODY's bringing up the age difference.
If K is 16, Ethan is 23, Spin's a little older than that.
BA is 30 IRL, it might be wierd for him...

But I'm all for it!

I liked seeing Dante get all protective of his little brother there with Claire in the PCPD.  That was cute. Also liked seeing him tear in to Sonny. 

And we though Luke and Lucky had a turbulent relationship! HA!

Do we really know how old Spinelli is?  I mean he was going to school with Georgie and I always assumed that he was around Georgie's age.  Georgie was younger than Maxie and I think it was established recently that Maxie was 23.  That would put Spin a couple years younger than that. I thought that K was 17 which if they take the romance slow could stretch to reasonably assume she turns 18. 

For me, usually the actor's real age doesn't enter into it for me but it's been done before with an age gap.  Jonathan and Lily from AMC comes to mind.  I think Jeff Branson was 30 or close to it when Levin was still a teenager herself. 

Yeah I dont really care about the age difference in real life so much as the characters age.  I think he and ethan are roughly the same age - around that 23 mark.  Jonathan and Lily -  thats interesting to bring up, because tptb THOUGHT that would work because his brain damage made him child like in some ways and Lily's autism made her young, BUT Jonathan was a guy we JUST saw killing people, building bombs, getting his sex on etc.

With Spin, yes he is a mob tech guy and Maxie already deflowered him, but this is a guy that truly wanted to wait for marriage to have sex, still drinks orange pop, and would love nothing more than to hang out and read his true love poetry whilst picnicing on a grassy knoll. Ethan is not only mob, but a scam artists who lives for adventure, swills scotch, and has had many a sexual encounter.  I see the chem with NP and LA but the lifestyle gap just doesnt work for me and I cant imagine a world in which Alexis would be okay with her daughter dating Ethan.
