I noticed an error, Carrie mentioned on the Friday episode that it was common knowledge that Zack was thought to be the child of John and Hope. This isn't true, I've been watching for a long time and it was my understanding that everyone thought JT (Glen and Barb) was the son of Hope and John. Zack had been adopted by Lexie and Abe. By the time Bo and Hope got Zack back, they knew already that John wasn't the father. Is this correct or am I remembering wrong?

You have that correct

You have that correct gatesbear but trying to make this a credible storyline, I think they are just trying to keep it simple (lol that is what they should do with the whole story but I have the feeling that isn't gonna be what happens!) Poor Zack and Poor JT.

You are correct. At the time, John was believed to be JT's father. Then thats when the whole JT/Zack storyline got crazy.

Ok there was a baby switch

Ok there was a baby switch and the baby that Hope had was really a baby named JT. He was no relation to anyone on canvas although he had parents who gave him up for adoption. They eventually had regrets and wanted him back but it was Abe and Lexie who was raising Hope's real baby. It was at first thought (switched blood tests) that Hope's real baby belonged to John. Much later (because of public outcry), Zack was found to be Bo's son. Lexie figured out that her child was really the bio child of Hope. So she turned evil to keep her baby and the secret of whose baby she had.
Eventually it all came out and Hope had to give JT back to his parents and Zack came to live with Bo and Hope. And Lexie stopped being evil eventually. A few years later, Zack got out of the house and was run over by Chelsea (Bo and Billie's daughter). Bo covered up her accident not realizing that Chelsea had run over anyone. Eventually it came out that Chelsea had accidently run over Zack. It broke apart Bo and Hope's marriage.
So when she said Zack was once thought to be the child of John and Hope's, the actual child was JT, who was actually not related to either of them, although the blood tests showed otherwise. I guess Carrie was shorthanding the story so noone would get too confused, however any long time fan would know the whole story.
By the way Chelsea was actually just a few cells that her mother miscarried in the middle of a jungle. Somehow those cells grew up into a beautiful teenager some years later. (I imagine that Rolf, Stefano's mad scientist put those cells in a petrie dish and grew a baby out of them! Why Rolf didn't get really rich on his own instead of making stuff for Stefano I can't guess. Perhaps Rolf liked what Stefano did with his creations. Chelsea grew up and fell in love with Max Brady(Melanies ex bio halfbrother and Bo's adopted brother). If Max and Chelsea ever get married, atleast she won't have to change her identity. She will still be Chelsea Brady!

I nearly choked (with laughter) at the "few cells" line... then nearly threw-up when you reminded me about Max & Chelsea & how she'd still be a Brady! Eww!! I hate the way soaps treat adoption!

I actually saw a good part of this play out onscreen but there were some crucial parts I missed while spending time abroad so a lot of it is much clearer to me now.

Mark you've done it again. Smile

Miry, although I do agree

Miry, although I do agree that soaps do treat adoption badly, I can make a special dispensation for two people who are not bio related AND were not raised together, like Max and Chelsea. My biggest gripe are all those Forresters and Logans on B&B who help raise children as step parents (and even once thought bio parents) that get sexually involved with eachother (Ridge and Brook and Taylor, you know who you are !!!). I got turned off watching that show for that reason. But in Salem if you are going to be in a relationship, it is difficult to find new people to be involved with. 10 chances out of 10, if you meet someone, to love, you have a common relative! So while Max and Chelsea are kinda yucky on the gross meter, they are not the worst lol. And thanks about the few cells thing..... LOL I thought the whole idea of a baby coming from a first trimester miscarriage was pretty lame!
Harlee that story was messy. And it went on and on and on. I left out the parts where Bo and Hope broke up and Bo was with Billie during that time and Hope was with Patrick Lockhart (Mimi's brother, Bonnie's son). Talk about making me want to throw up, Bo and Billie and Hope and Patrick were always making out in front of eachother. It was totally uncomfortable and rude.
Soap Armagedeon I do not even know why I can remember these things because I would have loved to forget much of it lol. If it weren't for 40 years of watching the show, I would have turned it off many times lol. In fact I did turn it off in the 90s for about 3 years. However I know that those two years were Days highest rated years for say the last 20. But I just couldn't watch anymore possession/whatever the late Mr Reilly was doing during that time. LOL the funniest thing is I did enjoy his second stint a little more. I enjoyed the whole killing off the cast and then bringing them back on that island. I was hoping they would just stick the whole cast on that island and just have the show from there. But then Faux Tony had to go and blow the whole thing up and send everyone back to real Salem again..... That is where he lost me again. Dee was just delicious as the killer. I still remember that scene at the hospital when she was toying with faux Tony before she killed him. It was so shocking! Anyway...

I totally agree with you

I totally agree with you about B&B! I started watching again when Hunter Tylo came back (LOVE ME SOME TAYLOR-- sure wish they'd use her again), and I had to stop watching when they had Phoebe (Steffy's twin) hook up with Rick! Eww gross! I don't care if it was revealed that Ridge wasn't Eric's son... Phoebe & Rick GREW UP thinking that they were niece & uncle! You just don't forget that you called someone "Uncle Rick" for the first 16 years of your life! I am sorry, but that is gross!!
And I guess I can see what you are saying about Chelsea & Max, but I still don't like it, b/c I like to think that these characters still live their lives when "we" don't see it (i.e. they still talk to family that are no longer in Salem on the phone... or they go out of town to see them when the actor is on vaca/not on screen). So, I would like to think that when Bo found out about Chelsea, he told her about his family, including his brothers (that we don't see) and so for me, hooking up with someone your dad considers his brother is still off limits. But yes, u are correct... it is HARD to not be related to EVERYONE in Salem, and B&B is a thousand times worse.
