If Y & R ended for good, then how should it all end? If you were to write the show's end, how would you end it all, how would the show end, if the finale were to happen

I am not saying it will happen, but if it did, how would you end it:

Me personally I would have Victor die in the final episode, by having Victor die of a heart attack again but this time this heart attack finally does him in, and when he dies, Victor goes to heaven

And in heaven he is reunited with his mother Cora Miller, Hope, Sabrina, etc.

I think that the show should have Victor die in the final episode, like Alan Spaulding on GL. I think John should appear to Ashley and Tracie, and not just Jack and Billy. I would also have Ashley forgive Adam in the final week.

Hmmm! Hypothetically speaking

Hmmm! Hypothetically speaking if the show had six months left I would spend that time carefully and strategically putting the pieces in place and on the last episode Katherine would wake up from a coma in the hospital with Brock by her side. It would be revealed to the audience that the last three years have all been a dream. Katherine was put into a coma following the accident she had that killed Marge. In that moment we would realize that Brad, Colleen, Jana never died. In her dream state all the chaos that has been Y&R for the last three years...daisy, the dopplegangers, Adams reign of terror, Angelo and his hideous daughter Angelina and the decimation of legacy characters never happened. I know its a stretch but I have thought about this long and hard for many months now. I know I could make it work.

A good friend of mine who is also a published author and I have discussed this at great lenghts. Between the two of us we have over 50 years collectively following this series. It would be a tricky scenario and the set up would have to be spot on. Like the old days the audience would be teased with hints galore so when the big reveal happens its not only shocking but expected and incredibly satisfying.

If the show had 3 years left on the air I would still have Katherine wake up from her coma and spend the extra time examining the fallout of all that. It would be a huge umbrella story that would eventually spawn off several other storylines like the show used to be known for.

Restless Fan -- I don't think Katherine waking up from a dream would work too well. Almost killed DALLAS back in the 80s.

I think it would be better to have Ash forgive Adam, and stuff like that.

Gosh, I read the comments and not unhappy, but it's personally hard to think about the possibility and don't want Y&R cancelled. For a year I had stopped watching I "raged" about the state and stories but the love never goes away in your heart and I'm a CBSer in my soul of soul and I really missed my CBS soaps. Yes, I have went back watching both soaps and trying to find something "good" which I have with Jack & Nikki. I will say they have calm down Victor's rage and made him more human. The vets are more present which makes me happy. I know Terry was just asking a question and from what I read Terry's post and so enjoyed the read and is a fan of Y&R (hopefully) but sometimes the rants seem some people on other posts want (secretly) Y&R to be CANCELLED! Why? Regardless, of state and with only 4 soaps I'm being of loyal and L-O-N-G time viewer of CBS I returned to support. CBS's soaps are still going strong in ratings compared to remaining soaps, now is time to stand up for your soaps and pray Y&R returns to Bill's vision. B&B is doing just fine right now. I have 3 soaps again in Y&R, B&B and DOOL. I might not watch GH but I would never wish GH cancelled because of the long /packs/Roving/sad.png fans. Simply, I not going to think about cancellation of any soap. Sad(

I agree. A LOT of posters on this site SEEM to want Y&R to be cancelled. I don't want to think about it either. A lot of the criticism is warranted, but the constant negativity while never acknowledging at least SOME of the good things about the show just further drives it down. But anyway, what can you do?

I'm hoping Y&R has a good while to live on...along with the rest of the remaining soaps. GH may not be my cup of tea, but I would never bash it or wish for it to be cancelled.

To the OP, I understand that you're not wishing fr the show to be cancelled. My post wasn't referring to you...and this is a good topic. It's just hard for me Sad

- After Victor gave the company to Nick and Victoria - in order to make right for his past mistakes - he dies alone on the Newman Ranch from a heart attack.
- A pregnant Victoria decides to leave NEWMAN ENTERPRISES to Nick and wants to move with Billy to Italy to follow her passion for art again.
- Phyllis won't take Nick back after he once again ran after Sharon to stop her from remarrying Adam.
- Jack gives a family dinner. His sons Kyle and Keemo attend together with Ashley, (Tucker), Traci, Steve, Abby, Billy and Victoria. They all are watched by the spirits of John and Colleen (Lyndsy Fonseca). Nikki joins the group as she and Jack announce their engagement. Nikki takes a moment to herself to say goodbye to her love for Victor.
- Olivia appears at Neil's doorstep and tells him to call the family - they have to talk. Lily (, Cane) and Devon appear as Malcolm (Shemar Moore) walks in together with a very much alive Dru. Malcolm tells his brother that he found the love of Neil's life, who suffered from amnesia for the past years but has back her memory for a few weeks now. Neil and Malcolm hug.
- A single-dad Daniel is thinking about his past mistakes and realizes who he wants to be with. He gets his phone and calls his ex-wife, Amber.
- Katherine and Murphy join the Abbotts after dinner. Katherine and Nikki take a moment to think about the past 40 years of their life.
- Ricky is visiting his mother Isabella and after that apologizes to his father for treating him wrong. After Paul gets off the phone with Heather, father and son decide to visit her for a family reunion.
- Patty is imagining her life with Jack and how much he loves her, while she truly sits behind bars.
- After Daisy committed suicide and made it look like Lauren murdered her, Michael finds evidence to clear his wife's name. Michael and Lauren reunite and make love after they get home. Lauren dreams about Sheila (Kimberlin Brown) and then wakes up, smiling and telling into the camera "I'm not afraid anymore".
- Adam and Sharon get to the airport to start their honeymoon, when Adam gets a call from an "Unknown caller". Adam picks up and asks who is calling - the caller answers with: "It's me - Adam!"

@stoney07: When it's that

@stoney07: When it's that bad you want it put out of its misery. The feeling is that this soap will not and so far has not gotten better under this regime. People are tired of the up's and downs. We all know Y&R will end eventually. Let's keep it real! So why hold it out while they continue to write it into the toilet. It would be better to set an end date. Until these writers are gone there is no hope for it. And they ain't going no where. So people are just tired.

And the thing about GH and Days is that they are not tied to having the same writers. They can fire and hire at will. The Maria is not going to admit she is hack. Nor is she going to let go of her two minions that continue to support writing this show into the ground.

So people are not bashing Y&R. They speaking the truth and shaming the devil about the state of Daytime's once greatest drama.

So trying to guilt people into like something or saying nice things about a soap that has jumped the ship a long time ago is not going to work.

I love the way you ended Y & R but then that means MM's Adam is not the real Adam, and the real Adam is out there somewhere in the world

@harlee490: If Maria, Hogan

@harlee490: If Maria, Hogan and Scott are not dealt with. Then the answer is yes. Put it out of its misery. Because there is no way you can save the body if the cancer is still inside.

I felt that way about AMC until Agnes and Lorraine came on. I felt that way about Days until Dina was disposed of and the new writers gave me a reason care. I felt that way about GH until Guza was disposed of. Then I believed it had a fighting chance.

So the only way I would have any reason to have hope for Y&R would be if the these 3 were disposed of or at the very least both writers were replaced with talented ones like a Lorraine, Sally or Kay.

But until then it is just like watching your brain dead granny only survive by a respirator.

I assume Adam the one played by MM is a fake, and that the real Adam comes back in the finale, is that what you are suggesting

Yeah, I just thought about the people who were suggesting that Adam isn't the real Adam after all. For the last episode, it would put a nice mystery to it ... without confirming that the Adam on the phone is the real Adam - he could just be some other Adam, who might just even called the wrong number. Wink

I enjoy reading the

I enjoy reading the creativity of some posters on here, it is fun and showcases the love and respect many have for the soap opera genre. But damn, Young & Restless is nowhere near as awful as some on here make it out to be. I am not ashamed or afraid to admit that I am one of the many people still watching that actually enjoys the show. I really don't understand where the hate comes from. Even Bill Bell penned some real stinkers, but I would never wish for the show to get cancelled. For one show alone, hundreds would lose jobs. Millions of people would lose a show that has brought joy, tears and frustration over the years. I don't want to see any more soaps go off the air. Young & Restless is in no shape to be cancelled. I may not win any popularity points around here for liking the show, but "I don't give a good kitty"! As long as these wonderful characters are gracing my screen, I'm going to keep watching them. Happy soap watching y'all! Wink
