I thought Marie did a great

I thought Marie did a great job commemorating Y&R's anniversary. I loved all the old clips. I wish some network would pick up Y&R from like 1980 and re-broadcast. I would so watch everyday!!

I liked Jeanne's comments about the writers too! She's been fairly blunt about the writing during Maria's tenure. I wonder if she has shared those feelings with one Lee Phillip? The best part of the show for me was the clip of Bill Bell talking about Lauralee. I was a blubbering mess. Cheers again to Y&R's 40th!

Marie and company did a fantastic job. It would have been nice for the Talk to give up the entire hour to the show as well.

I liked that they took a significant chunk of time to truly honor Bill who will always be the genius behind this show and characters.

Great show!

Thanks Harlee for posting...I missed the first 10 minutes trying to find Marie. Didn't even know there was a Hallmark Channel. Good for her, and I hope SHE gets a ratings bump from the cast!

Oh yes, I'm sure that Jeanne

Oh yes, I'm sure that Jeanne Cooper likes the regime' in their now. She's on all of 4 times a month, and it's the old "Alzheimer's" routine Part 2, or Lyme's Disease Part 2.5. Kay, where's your husband Murphy? Has Josh G even featured him once? Gone are the days Katherine where your role mattered, cause you are relegated to the back burner under the 'guidance' of Jill F Philips.

You used to fight your son Tucker daily for control of Chancellor Industries and McCall Unlimited, and therefore Jabot Cosmetics. You used appear in Boardrooms and courtrooms, representing well and showing that women in their early 80s could make a difference in the corporate world.

Your showdown with the daughter of a long-time deceased friend, Ashley Abbott, when Tucker was in the hospital, was a welcome twist to a relationship that was 25 years on the show between you and her. Your opposing their marriage, opposing their business relationship was top-notch daily Drama. Even your fights with Sophia were laced with your usual wit and barbs.

You hired a private investigator to find your Grandson, and used to give Emmy-worthy performances showing the nuances between manipulating your next of kin and his son, and simultaneously loving and accepting them.

Now what are you, Jeanne? You who have 'put down' the one woman and her assistant, Maria Arena Bell and Hogan Sheffer, who always put you front and center. Now you are just a sad, misguided figure 'sitting on the couch' next to Cane Ashby. (Can anything less be said of a female character who is not Lily Winters?) You have sunk down to the level of Josh & JFP, and their relentless catering to 'Hollywood Heights' wannabees and cast-offs.

I hope you enjoy your time left on The Show. This Show that has become almost nothing more than men in the 20s, 30s, and 40s, walking around without their shirts on.

Oh yeah, Robby Adamson, the highlight of the month for your clip reel is that Adrianna left her panties on the sofa.

I think Jeanne's been absent

I think Jeanne's been absent mainly for the fact that she was ill for a time. She's getting up their in age, so I'm sure her recovery time is lengthy.

She sounded very hoarse on her 40th celebration intro last Friday, and she was also that way on Marie's show.

I'm sure her comments about the writers really aren't any different than some of the other vets over the past six years.

The misuse of Ashley, Jill, Paul, Nikki (at times), KSJ all would go backburner for many months under both LML and MAB.

I've liked her episodes this week with Cane, and I hope that means she'll be back on screen more regularly.
