So over 5 million people

So over 5 million people tuned in on Tuesday to watch the tribute to Jeanne Cooper.

A show filled with older, vet characters talking about Kay.

Hmmmmm....Hopefully the new team is taking note of this.

Days has taken a bow! The cream (as they say rises to the top). Days has the cream. Also Y&R has been doing exactly what I expected. So I am content.

Glad for Days. They have been doing exceptional work. I haven't always followed that series but a friend of mine who has says it's the best it's been since the 80's. I'm also happy to see that people tuned in for Jeanne Coopers very well done tribute episode. Y&R's numbers benefited from that day in particular.

Days is proving that if you

Days is proving that if you tell traditional stories with a new spin and use characters that have established histories or ties on the show, the viewers will tune in.

Telling gay stories (Will/Sonny/Nick/Gabi) is not a ratings killer in daytime if they are about characters the audience knows and cares about. What's more, you can re-visit storylines (Kristen/John/Marlena/Brady) from a show's history without re-writing them and get people interested in following how it plays out.

Sharp dialogue and great acting don't hurt either.

Days has been on fire lately.

Days has been on fire lately. Who would have thought that you could make a gay romance such a central part of a tent pole story line. My 75 year old uncle who watches Days is talking to me about Will and Sonny and paying no attention to the fact that they are gay at all.
