Hope Williams and Tony DiMera. The good girl and the bad boy. I like a little of both lol Hope was my mothers favorite therefor she was mine. Her and Bo will always be my favorite soap couple of all time because I’ve been watching them since i was 3. and Tony was better at being crazy than his daddy lol
Hard to pinpoint one but I’d probably go with Lauren Koslow’s Kate as my top favorite. Bo and Hope Brady, Sami Brady, Victor Kiriakis, Justin and Adrienne Kiriakis, Kristen DiMera and Nicole Walker would be on my honorable mention list.
geez how to pick just one! Well that would have to be Marlena. From day one, when she was Mickey’s doctor, she had something fresh. It made you want to know more. Slowly this character unfolded and we have this strong somewhat detached but caring woman. I can’t think of another soap character that has been in not just one but three super couples. Her enemies have been some of daytimes best. From her twin Samantha to Stephano to Kristen, there is always someone around to try to knock her down. She also gave birth to one of daytimes greatest characters Sami.
my heart, Julie Olsen
Sami Brady can’t help but love her while hating her.
Eugene Bradford, the funniest man ever on daytime
Stephano, one of soaps greatest villans,
Mike Horton in the 70s and 80s watched him grow from baby to manhood. Too bad they ruined this character in the 90s.
As others have said, it’s hard to pick just one. My favorite female characters in the eighties were Marlena, Liz Curtis, Anna DiMera, Melissa Horton, and Kimberly Brady. For some reason, I didn’t like young Kayla very much. In the nineties and early 2000s, my favorites were Lexie, Kayla, Hope, Jennifer, Kristen, and Vivian. My dislike for Sami turned into tolerance and then love/hate relatively recently.
Mike Horton, Tony DiMera, and Bo Brady were my favorite male characters in the eighties. Nowadays, I’m all about EJ.
John and Marlena are my favorite TV couple of all time, and she was the one who made me stop to watch this show. I was just flipping through the channels and there was DAYS, just having started in Norway. And it literally pains me to see that they ignore the rich, incredible history she has that they could use for story today. She’s complex
I also have loved John (with Marlena and his family, the messing around with his identity was ridiculous post 1997), Eugene, Anna, Don, Nicole, Jack, Lucas and Tom and Alice, of course.
