Betty White to Host SNL on May 8

We rejoiced at the news Betty White would appear on an episode of Saturday Night Live, now SNL's executive producer has cleared up whether or not White will be hosting the show. The episode will air on May 8.

Michaels says that as the live show's oldest host, she can perform "as much as she wants to do" but adds that the physical demands of the show led him to plan the cast reunion, though make no mistake: White is the solo host.

She's flattered and flabbergasted by the attention: "It's lovely, and at my age it's certainly unexpected." And she's not worried about the workload: "I've got so much energy, it's ridiculous. I love working. My schedule is a feverish one, and I'm used to that."

CONFIRMED: Betty White to Appear on SNL

Betty White has confirmed she will appear on Saturday Night Live, according to People. No details have been released as to what the pop culture icon's visit will entail, but Entertainment Weekly reported in late February that it may be part of a "Women of Comedy" episode.

"Sexiest Woman in America" Betty White Lands TV Land Pilot

Betty White isn't slowing down anytime soon. In addition to being pre-nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award, being "thisclose" to hosting SNL, having recently starred in a popular Super Bowl commercial and a hit movie, the Golden Girl has now landed a role in the TV Land comedy pilot Hot in Cleveland opposite of Valerie Bertinelli, Jane Leeves and Wendie Malick, according to The Wrap.

As if all of that wasn't enough to herald White the reigning Queen of Pop Culture— as our Jamey Giddens recently declared her on a Daytime Confidential podcast— Twilight heartthrob Robert Pattinson told the ladies on The View "I think Betty White is probably one of the sexiest women in America" He continued, “She’s vibrant; it’s sexy. I think the more age the better.”

Betty White "ThisClose" to Hosting SNL

Entertainment Weekly's Michael Ausiello is reporting Saturday Night Live is "thisclose" to landing Betty White as host, but with a catch.

White would not be hosting alone. Rather, I hear SNL is putting together a “Women of Comedy” episode that would team the former Rose Nylund with several of her younger contemporaries. Ex-SNL MVP Molly Shannon is on board, I hear, and feelers have also been put out to Tina Fey and Amy Poehler. (An NBC spokesperson insists no one has been confirmed at this time.)

Should Betty White Host SNL?

Betty White fans across the internet are campaigning to have the TV legend, comedic actress and Super Bowl ad star host NBC's Saturday Night Live. However according to People, White isn't sure it would ever happen.

"I don't even know where that came from," the 88-year-old Mary Tyler Moore Show and Golden Girls Emmy winner tells PEOPLE about the online movement to have her host SNL. "That just came out of left field. It's ridiculous. I don't think [SNL creator and producer] Lorne Michaels even knows about it, so we won't worry about it."

Still, should Michaels phone her, she'll take it – both the call and the offer to host the 35-year-old NBC staple, provided her demanding schedule will allow.

Will Betty White's Ann Die on The Bold and the Beautiful?

Uh oh, those Douglas women will be on the loose again! Betty White chatted with TV Guide Magazine  about her alter ego's visit with her daughters Stephanie and Pam and what The Bold and the Beautiful viewers can expect.

The fans won’t like this one bit. Ann’s a royal pain in the ass but we love her for that. We don’t want her dead. READ MORE

Ann doesn’t want to see Ann dead! I think she’s starting to get panicky and doesn’t want to face death. In her mind she didn’t show up in Los Angeles to make amends with her girls. She’d never admit she’s been less than perfect as a mother. But she’s losing her power. She’s losing control. She wants to get rid of some of the old garbage, so it’s nice for her to be with Stephanie and Pam and resolve some issues that have been sticky for a while. She must have looked in the mirror one morning and said, “My God, Ann, you’re getting older. We better get some things resolved.” Of course, I do that every morning!

Betty White Brings Mother-From-Fashion-Hell Back to Bold and Beautiful

The hardest working actress in the game, Betty White, is set to reprise the role of Ann Douglas, Stephanie (Susan Flannery) and Pam's (Alley Mills) young-eating, mother-from-Peapack-hell on The Bold and the Beautiful this Nov. 18 for a multi-episode arc. Ann and Stephanie's powerful, gritty scenes are nice and all, but what I'd really love this time around is for Ridge's (Ron Moss) Mee Maw to regal the Forrester and Logan fashionistas with a nice St. Olaf story!

Betty White Takes Job as Prison Guard

Remember Betty White's hilarious appearance on the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson as a Girl Scout? Well she popped back up on the late night talk show, but this time as a San Quentin prison guard. Apparently she had to go back to work after losing all her money to a man named Raul at a Vegas strip club.
