Colin Egglesfield IN, Daniel Cosgrove OUT for Brothers & Sisters Flashback Eppy

Look for All My Children and Melrose Place alum Colin Egglesfield to likely portray the role of a young William Walker on Brothers & Sisters' upcoming flashback episode. EOnline  first broke the news that Egglesfiield would be replacing one of the previously cast Rewind Walkers. Speculation is Egglesfield is going in for fellow soapster Daniel Cosgrove, who had previously been tapped to play William. I have to say, this is a good move. Egglesfield definitely brings to mind what I would envision for the cocky, philandering jerkoff who cheated on my Gidget with that tramp Holly Harper!

Could Melrose's Auggie and Violet Hook Up?

Could the friendship between Melrose's Auggie and Violet turn into something more? Colin Egglesfield hints at the possibility in an interview Soap Opera Source.

Some of the fans have commented on some of the sparks with your co-star Ashlee Simpson-Wentz. Any chance we'll see Auggie & Violet hooking up?

Well it is Melrose Place so anything is possible [Laughs]. Having Auggie being someone who is kind of teetering on the edge of falling off, having his past demons haunt him in not always doing the right thing. He runs into a little bit of trouble in the middle of the season and Violet has kind of always been there. She does like him and she's trying to be friends with him and help him out any way she can. Something happens to Auggie where he could use a friend and that friendship definitely starts to turn into something else. But you have to wait until episode -- I think eight or nine before something like that happens.

Melrose Place's "Nightingale"

Melrose Place may need more than Heather Locklear if it isn’t careful. In its second week it dropped 23 percent in the adult demo, according to The Live Feed.

Even though the show’s ratings were down, the episode continued to build on the quality of its first episode. The cast is starting to gel, while the introduction of Victor Webster as Ella’s cut throat boss Caleb put a nice dent, at least temporarily, in her self-confidence. READ MORE

The Latest Melrose Place Preview

The CW has released an extended preview for the new Melrose Place and it looks pretty darn good. Previews can be deceiving, but this looks way better than anything I watched on the new 90210.

This Fall on Melrose Place

The new Melrose Place is coming to The CW this fall. Check out this Melrose preview above. All My Children fans may recognize Colin Egglesfield, who once portrayed Pine Valley's Josh Madden.

Thanks to soapjunkie88 for the tip!

Colin Egglesfield in The CW's Melrose Place

Collin Egglesfield may have had the unfortunate luck of portraying All My Children's unabortion Josh Madden, but things are certainly looking up for him now. The CW has picked up the widely buzzed about Melrose Place remake in which he stars with Ashlee Simpson-Wentz. Just looking the new Melrose I can't help but hope that the cast is much stronger than the 90210 cast. With the exception of Michael Steger and Jessica Stroup I've been pretty disappointed with 90210's young adults. I love the actual adult characters, but the "teens" just don't hook me like the cast of Gossip Girl does.

The CW hasn't released any trailers for its lineup yet, but when they do we'll post them here at Daytime Confidential.

Will you be watching the new Melrose?

Colin Egglesfield Joins Melrose Place Redux

The bond between All My Children and all things Melrose Place just got a little bit stronger. According to The Hollywood Reporter,Colin Egglesfield (ex-Josh Madden) is joining the cast of the new Melrose Place on The CW.

Unabortion Shot, Loses Heart?

In an attempt to whitewash one the biggest mistakes All My Children ever made it looks as if the show is finally getting rid of the character of Josh Madden (Colin Egglesfield), Erica Kane's (Susan Lucci) "long lost" unaborted son. AMC may not be undoing the rewrite of the Erica's historic abortion, but they sure are doing the next best thing and killing off the character.

Egglesfield is the unfortunate victim of a storyline fans would never accept and the show got rid of the one actress he had chemistry with when they brought back Rebecca Budig as Greenlee.

Are you glad AMC is whitewashing the Unabortion storyline?
