RUMOR REPORT: Has All My Children's Two-Hour TV Finale Been SCRAPPED?!

Remember that two-hour finale for All My Children I  told you would be happening? Well it looks like it's being scrapped, now that AMC is set to continue online, courtesy of new production company Prospect Park. According to sources, AMC will now only be getting a normal one-hour finale on ABC Daytime.

In other news, I'm hearing what was planned to be lengthier story arcs featuring such fan faves as Adam Chandler (David Canary) and Brooke English (Julia Barr) had to be shortened due to budgetary constraints.

"Agnes[Nixon] and Lorraine [Broderick] wanted Adam and Brooke for three weeks, but it ends up being only a handful of episodes, because of the budget," says a source.

All My Children's star-studded network television finale airs Sept. 23.  Prospect Park has stated they plan to launch an online continuation of the serial just three days later on Sept. 26.

DC: #536: Walt Willey Interview

Jackson Montgomery is back, and we've got him! On today's episode of the Daytime Confidential podcast, Luke and Jamey talk to All My Children veteran and all around nice guy Walt Willey, who recently reprised his signature role as Erica Kane's (Susan Lucci) most enduring lover on the sudser.

This Friday, April 9 at 9 pm Willey will be appearing at SoCal's hottest spot for sketch comedy, ACME Comedy Theatre, where he will be hosting "Unscripted Hollywood Dream Role". Willey offers DC listeners a preview of his upcoming show, and gives his hilarious reaction to having witnessed the infamous Kato Kaelin hosting the show when he first visited ACME.

"He's held up good since the white van days," Willey quips.

Then the discussion shifts, of course, to what it's like for Willey to be back in Pine Valley— by way of Los Angeles instead of New York— and to be working again with the likes of Rebecca Budig, Vincent Irizarry, Julia Barr, and of course the unforgettable Susan Lucci. It's an interview Pine Valley lovers and comedy buffs alike won't wanna miss!

If you are in the SoCal area be sure to go see Walt Willey in ACME Comedy Theatre's "Unscripted Hollywood Dream Role" this Friday night at 9 pm. ACME Comedy Theatre is located at 135 N. La Brea Ave Hollywood, CA 90036. For everyone else, you can watch the show being streamed live at www.acmecomedy.com. We will also be posting a reminder with the link on the blog before the show. Also, be sure to visit Walt Willey's official website Willey World.

Can Greenlee and Kendall's Friendship Survive the Truth on AMC?

Kendall (Alicia Minshew) is back and Greenlee (Rebecca Budig) figures out the truth on All My Children. Can their friendship survive the revelation that it was Kendall driving the car that almost killed Greenlee?

I've always enjoyed Kendall and Greenlee's frenemy relationship, but after everything these two have done to each other over the years I would really like to see them go balls-to-the-wall against each other. Sure it's fun to see Greenlee vs. Erica (Susan Lucci), but it doesn't take a genius to figure out how their corporate rivalry will end. I loved the Brooke (Julia Barr) and Erica scenes last week, but it only reminded me that Erica vs. Greenlee seems a little lopsided.

Will Brooke English Once Again Want Erica Kane's Leftovers on AMC?

All My Children's Julia Barr spoke with Our Prattville's Melissa Parker about how her return to Pine Valley came about. When asked if Brooke might be interested in Erica's (Susan Lucci) leftovers Barr teases fans:

Melissa Parker (Our Prattville): Julia, thank you for speaking with me and Happy New Year! Congratulations on coming back to All My Children! Personally, I am excited about your return and I know many fans are. Is this something that has been in the works for a while or were you asked to return when you taped the 40th anniversary episode?

Julia Barr: Being asked back was really nice. It occurred after I taped the 40th anniversary show (which I taped in early December) and had nothing to do with that appearance. This is something that worked out in conjunction with a storyline they started writing late in December.

Melissa Parker (Our Prattville): Are you planning on staying in Pine Valley for a while? I’m sure Erica won’t be pleased, especially since she has begun a romance with Ryan. You know Erica, she’ll think that Brooke will want her “leftovers.”

Julia Barr: For now I’ll be there for a few months … but stay tuned! Anything can happen.
