DEVASTATING NEWS: Dallas Star Larry Hagman Dead at 81

The entertainment community is reeling from the loss of Larry Hagman. He was 81. The legendary I Dream of Jeannie and Dallas actor died Friday at Medical City Dallas Hospital. He had been battling cancer. Said a family spokesperson:

“Larry was back in his beloved Dallas, re-enacting the iconic role he loved most,” the family said in a statement. “Larry’s family and close friends had joined him in Dallas for the Thanksgiving holiday. When he passed, he was surrounded by loved ones. It was a peaceful passing, just as he had wished for. The family requests privacy at this time.”

Dallas Cast Heads Across The Pond (PHOTOS)

Patrick Duffy, Jesse Metcalfe, Larry Hagman and their Dallas co-stars jumped across the pond to promote the September premiere of their hit reboot on the UK's Channel Five. The Dallas launch party took place at Billingsgate Market in London on August 21.

Dallas Ties Royal Pains to Win Wednesday Night's Cable Ratings Battle!

The Southfork shall rise again! TNT's soapgasmic premiere of Dallas on Wednesday night was watched by 6.9 million viewers, making it the No.1 scripted series premiere on all of cable for the year-to-date.

The latest chapter of David Jacobs' classic, CBS sudser—developed for TNT by Cynthia Cidre—hit a 3.7 in households, and was watched by over 1.9 million in Mad Ave's beloved 18-49 demo. Dallas also bested its timeslot competitors on the Big Four broadcast networks. Yep, soap fans, we have ourselves a Texas-size hit!

The Talk Co-Hosts Don Big Hair and Sequins for Dallas Reunion

CBS Daytime's The Talk celebrated the return of Dallas to the airwaves with a special reunion episode today. Co-hosts Julie Chen, Sharon Osbourne and Sheryl Underwood dressed up in sequins and wore Texas-size wigs as they interviewed Larry Hagman (J.R.), Linda Gray (Sue Ellen) and Patrick Duffy (Bobby).
