Mary Beth Evans Returns to DAYS

Mary Beth Evans is one busy lady. In addition to returning to Days of our Lives as Kayla for Alice’s funeral, returning to As the World Turns this month as Sierra and starring in the new web soap The Bay as Sara Garrett, she is returning to Salem once again as Kayla, but for a longer stint, according to Soap Opera Digest. Expect her to pop up in Salem in September.

Holy Awesomeness, Batman: Soap Superstar Mary Beth Evans in Trailer for The BAY!

(Jamey gets down on his knees, tears streaming down his full, cappucino-colored face.) Praises be to the Soap Gods, it looks like someone is FINALLY poised to get a web soap opera starring a daytime alum RIGHT! Gregori J. Martin (Manhattanites) has released a trailer for his upcoming web series, The Bay, featuring one of daytime's favorite daughter's, Mary Beth Evans. Only this time, Evans will be playing one helluva dysfunctional mother!
If this promo is any indication, the web may have its first, viable transitional series from the once-popular—and profitable— daytime sudser. Crossing fingers, toes and other body parts not suitable for discussion amongst mixed company, or on a blog frequented by young 'uns.

The Bay also stars Tristan Rogers (ex-Scorpio, GH), Sandra Dee Robinson (ex-Amanda, AW), John Callahan ( ex-Edmund AMC; Dr. Baker, DAYS), Lilly Melgar (ex-Lily GH), Martha Madison (ex-Belle DAYS) and Dylan Bruce (ex-Chris, ATWT). Check out the soapgasmic promo, complete with POPULAR MUSIC (swoon) after the jump! Seriously, this is all I ask for... READ MORE

Mary Beth Evans Joins The Bay

Mary Beth Evans is a busy lady these days. In addition to participating in Days of our Lives' Alice Horton (Frances Reid) tribute and her upcoming return to As the World Turns as Sierra, she has been cast in the lead role of Sara Garrett on indie web soap The Bay, according to We Love Soaps.

DC #547: Shake Ya Tailfeather

On today’s episode of Daytime Confidential Luke, Jamey, Jillian and Regan discuss the latest in All My Children, As the World Turns, The Bold and the Beautiful, Days of our Lives, General Hospital, One Life to Live and The Young and the Restless storylines and news, including:

ABC reassures One Life to Live fans that it isn’t canceling their soap. Cole (Brandon Buddy)beats the crap out of Todd(Trevor St. John) in one of the most violent scenes we’ve watched in daytime. Will All My Children’s Greenlee get a miracle baby with David Hayward (Vincent Irizarry)? Regan isn’t a fan of miracle pregnancies, but Luke doesn’t mind since it undoes some more of the Madden era. General Hospital’s Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) takes the stand and testifies at Sonny’s trial.

The Young and the Restless signs former Guiding Light star Jeff Branson and lands Sean Young for a short stint. Why is Y&R bringing on guests like Sean Young when we rarely see Melody Thomas Scott? Mary Beth Evans returns to As the World Turns as Oakdale’s Sierra. Does anyone believe that Lily (Noelle Beck) would keep the existence of Craig’s (Jon Lindstrom) son a secret for all these years? Is The Bold and the Beautiful’s Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) manipulating Donna (Jennifer Gareis) to get his hands back on Forrester or is he just trying to be a good brother-in-law?
