Even trash television programs have milestones to celebrate, right? Maury is gearing up to commemorate his 2,500th episode, and 100 consecutive weeks as the number one syndicated talk show among Women 18-34, adults 18-34 and 18-49.
On May 17, Barbara Walters, Katie Couric, Shaquille O'Neal, Joan Rivers, the ladies of The Talk, Kathy Griffin, Wendy Williams, Steve Harvey, NeNe Leakes, Jack Hanna, Donald Trump, Access Hollywood Live hosts Billy Bush and Kit Hoover, ESPN's Pardon The Interruption's Tony Kornheiser and Michael Wilbon, Washington Redskins owner Daniel Snyder, former Redskins quarterback Joe Theismann, Jerry Springer, Steve Wilkos and Trisha Goddard will congratulate Maury Povich on the show's accomplishments. Bad news for deadbeat dads and hot-in-the-tail girls. Broadcast & Cable is reporting Maury, the long-running, trash-tacular, daytime chatfest, has been renewed for three more years by NBCUniversal. In a released statement, Ted Harbert, NBC Broadcasting Chairman, stated:

According to TV Week, Maury led all talk shows the week of September 17, among women 25-54, with a 1.7 rating in the demo, up from 1.4 last season. Among households, Dr. Phil leads the pack with a 3.1 average this season, followed by Live with Kelly and Michael at 2.6.
