Regis Philbin dropped by Joy Behar: Say Anything on Current TV. During their chat, Behar asked Philbin what he thought of Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney avoiding The View and his comment about the ladies being “sharp-tongued”.
Behar: “He was caught in that 47 percent, you know, Americans are on the boob speech, and he said that we were a bunch of sharped-tongue women at The View. What do you think of that?”
Philbin: “I think he is right on the money, I’m sorry. Way to go Mitt! No, you gals, I’ve always thought were very, very fair.”
Behar also didn’t pass up the chance to asked Philbin what he thinks of Kelly Ripa’s new co-host Michael Strahan. During the segment Philbin reminded Behar, as only he could, how Ripa owed everything to him. Watch the clip after the jump! READ MORE
Was it something they said? Barbara Walters announced today Republican Presidential nominee and former Mass. Gov. Mitt Romney's Thursday appearance on The View was cancelled. The veteran television journalist said Romney's wife Ann would appear as scheduled. Walters stated:
Gov. Romney was supposed to be on with us this Thursday with Ann Romney. We were looking forward to it. Over the weekend, his people said that he had scheduling problems and would not be coming on with us. Nor at this point did he feel that he could reschedule. We are happy to have Mrs. Romney on with us. We are sorry that we won't have Governor Romney and that's the situation...He can change his mind and we hope he does. It would be our pleasure to have him on the program.
Last month, Romney's campaign spokesperson announced he would appear on the talk show after a secret video recording surfaced of his remarks he made during a fundraising event about the show. Romney stated:
When Clueless and Single Ladies alum Stacey Dash tweeted support for Republican Presidential candidate Mitt Romney, Twitter and the rest of the Internet erupted in bitter debate. Some fans of the star were outraged that a black actress is supporting a Republican, as opposed to President Barack Obama, a Democrat.
Others applauded Dash for her courage in speaking out for what she believes in. Of course the women of The View had to give their five cents on the controversial topic. Check out what they had to say after the jump!
