VOTE: Who Will Win The Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Younger Actress?

If there's any category that tends to cause shock in the press room each year, it's the Outstanding Younger Actress Daytime Emmy. A bevy of soap starlets are nominated this year.

Who do you think will win, The Bold and the Beautiful's Jacqueline MacInnes Wood (Steffy), The Young and the Restless' Christel Khalil (Lily), or Days of Our Lives' Shelley Hennig (Stephanie) or Molly Burnett (Melanie)?

Molly Burnett DEPARTS Days Of Our Lives!

Soap Opera Digest is reporting Daytime Emmy nominee Molly Burnett is leaving Days Of Our Lives. Burnett revealed to the magazine:

Going in, I knew it was a four-year contract and look, it's been the most amazing experience. Everyone is so loving and so wonderful and so supportive. It's going to be so hard.... I mean, this is my family. I came out here and I knew nothing, I knew no one and DAYS just kind of opened its arms and took me in. I look at it as four years of the best training any actor could have ever been given.

Look for the actress to vacate her role by the end of June.

Outstanding Younger Actor and Actress Categories CUT From Main Daytime Emmys Celebration!

I'd heard a rumor NATAS was considering this nonsense, and prayed it wouldn't prove true. I guess the Soap Gods were fowarding my calls to voicemail, because Soaps In Depth is reporting the Outstanding Younger Actor and Actress categories have been cut from the main Daytime Emmy program on June 23!

Those awards will be handed out at the Creative Arts Daytime Emmys on June 17. Okay, I've been trying to be all Namaste of late, but this is some flat out b.s!
