Martha Stewart Clears the Air

TVGuide.com is reporting Martha Stewart has no ill will toward fellow talk show host Rachael Ray. Stewart commented on a recent Nightline episode that Ray was "not good enough for me" regarding her kitchen skills. On Monday's Martha Stewart Show she stated,

Just for the record, there are no bad feelings between us nor have there ever been, Stewart said apologetically. I truly believe that Rachael has done a terrific job bringing people, many people who would of never of even stepped into the kitchen or made a dish to cook. I applaud Rachael for her enthusiastic approach to cooking.

Ray has an open invitation to return to Stewart's show.

Oprah, Sawyer and Walters Top Most Influential Women in Media List

Forbes just released The Most Influential Women In Media and nine out of the top ten women have a daytime connection. Not surprisingly Oprah ranks No. 1. Diane Sawyer earned the No. 2 spot while Barbara Walters appears at No. 3. Walters' fellow The View co-hosts appear at No. 11. This is what Forbes wrote about The View.

The thing that keeps the show interesting and fresh is all the diverging and often opposing viewpoints. The audience senses this honesty isn't staged, as some of its controversies have even led to former hosts like Rosie O'Donnell or Star Jones leaving the show.

Rachael Ray Cooks Up Deal Til 2012

Anyone worried that The Rachael Ray Show may be going off the air can breathe easy, the show has been renewed through the 2011-2012 season. One reason for Ray's appeal, the challenging economic conditions the country is facing.

Rachael Ray is especially appealing to viewers in this challenged economy because “she's centered in value,” Wood says, with the show featuring many segments on how to cook, decorate or dress for less. “Value has always been important to us since day one. That's been a part of the show we've never strayed from.”

Rachael Ray Denies Throat Cancer Report

Representatives for Rachael Ray are playing down a report by The National Enquirer that the popular daytime host needed a throat cancer surgery requiring two months of recooperation.

"Rachael is the picture of health. She is having very minor surgery to remove a benign cyst on her vocal cord...It's a common in-and-out procedure that she will have in early December and it will not adversely effect any of her daytime show or Food Network tapings."

Rachael Ray Is Going to the Dogs

Rachael Ray is going to the dogs and expanding her little empire all at the same time.

That's right folks, Rachael Ray is launching Nutrish, a new pet food line that all of her loyal fans can now feed their dogs. Check out her website for more information.

"Okay, you know I don’t mess around when it comes to feeding my family and yours nutritious meals. And we all know my dog Isaboo is my baby. I am putty in that girl’s paws. So I had this awesome idea to work with a team of pet nutrition experts to create a pet food made with simple, natural ingredients that any furry family member would love. With Rachael Ray Nutrish, my Isaboo gets all the delicious goodness she loves to gobble up and all the nutrition I want her to have. Real meat — like chicken or beef — is the first ingredient. There are no fillers. No junk. Just lots of good, wholesome stuff. How cool is that? And you know me. I’m all about giving back, so some of the proceeds from Rachael Ray Nutrish go to charities that take care of animals who have no one else to look out for them. Wow. How good do you feel now?"

Oprah Tops Forbes' Celebrity 100

Oprah Winfrey is still the most powerful celebrity on the planet. According to the latest The Celebrity 100 list published by Forbes Magazine each year, Oprah remained enthroned at the top of the list at No. 1, earning over $275 million dollars from June 2007 - June 2008.

It should be noted that money is not the only factor in Forbes calculations when determining its rankings.

According to USATODAY Forbes "estimates celebrity earnings, then factors in media metrics like Google hits, press mentions as compiled by Factiva, TV/radio mentions from Lexis/Nexis and the number of times an A-lister appears on the cover of more than 50 consumer magazines."

At least nine other stars with daytime connections made The Celebrity 100 list.

Jennifer Aniston, the daughter of Days of Our Lives' star John Aniston, made the top 20. She notched a spot at No. 17 with $27 million in earnings.

Oprah's protege Dr. Phil survived the Britney Spears fiasco coming in at No. 30 with $13 million.

Judge Judy Sheindlin, whose legal empire is estimated in the hundreds of millions, ranked No. 40 with $45 million in 2008.

Tyra Banks, who has her eye on building an Oprah style empire of her own, mustered up a No. 68 ranking and $23 million.

Former Young and Restless star Eva Longoria Parker leveraged her Desperate Housewives stardom to the tune of $9 million and a No. 70 ranking.

Ellen DeGeneres, who has seen her popularity rise in recent years, just missed making the Top 70 coming in at No. 71 though she earned $20 million in 2008.

TV show host extraordinaire Regis Philbin talked his way to No. 74 and $21 million.

Nurtured by Oprah Rachael Ray pulled in $18 million and a spot at No. 76.

Wrapping up the list of celebrities with a connection to daytime who made the list is former daytime talk show host Howie Mandel who placed No. 90 and earned $14 million.

Combined, these stars pulled in a whopping $465 million dollars in 2008.

Rosie O'Donnell on the Rachael Ray Show

Rosie O'Donnell recently "returned" to daytime by appearing on the Rachael Ray show to promote her new book Crafty U: 100 Easy Projects the Whole Family Can Enjoy All Year Long. It's been just about a year since Rosie and Elizabeth's great debate and it got me to thinking. Does anyone want Rosie back in daytime?

Would you enjoy having her back on daytime if she had her own show again?
