Actor and rocker Rick Springfield visits with Melissa Parker at Our Prattville about his concert tour and Californication. Springfield is also asked if he could be returning to General Hospital.

Melissa Parker: Will Eli Love or Noah Drake be back on General Hospital anytime soon?

Rick Springfield: No, kind of with the advent of stuff happening now like the whole Californication thing I’m focusing more there. I went back to General Hospital for a little bit and it was fun for a while but nothing is planned there for the immediate future.

Rick Springfield drops by Oprah tomorrow to make a guest's dreams come true. The episode in which the actor/singer appears features interior designer Nate Berkus participating in a makeover for a high school reunion. Later on in the show, the lucky viewer has a treat in store when Springfield belts out his classic 80's hit "Jessie's Girl" as part of her surprise. I wonder if he'll mention GH tomorrow.

In the 35th anniversary edition of People magazine, singer/actor Rick Springfield chats with American Idol winner, David Archuleta on the realization of being a pop superstar.

What was the moment like when you first realized that you were a musical idol?

Springfield: My first thrill was playing "Jessie's Girl" live and hearing the audience react. It was at a Beach Boys show on the Fourth of July. It was wonderful. The audience started cheering as soon as we played the riff.

Archuleta: For me, the thrill is just that people actually like it. It's neat to see people react to your songs the same way that you would react to someone else's songs.

General Hospital alum Rick Srpingfield (Noah Drake) has been tapped to star in the Showtime original series, Californication. According to Entertainment Weekly's Michael Ausiello, the actor/singer has signed on to star in four episodes. The role calls for Springfield to play himself, but with a slight twist. 

Springfield will play an former 80's heartthrob, whose career has fizzled out, and is now working as a waiter. Get ready to take out your heart meds Noah Drake lovers, because Springfield has agreed to showing 'tasteful nudity" for the cable drama's love scenes. No word yet on when the episodes will air.

RUMORS of a Re-Do? We all know how General Hospital loves to recycle storylines.  Are we in store for another one? Get your SALT BOULDERS out people, this one's a doozy! Elizabeth's attendance at Sonny and Kate's wedding has been a question out there. EARLY RUMORS said she wouldn't be in the position to be there. Other RUMORS have Lucky asking her to be his date so that his and Sam's fake break up isn't exposed. Those RUMORS go on to say that Elizabeth tells her ex she'll meet him there if she can.

The LATEST? Elizabeth decides to meet Lucky at the wedding only she never makes it there. The RUMORS say she'll get into a car accident and the end result? Amnesia! Sounds like Nikolas' storyline when Mary first came into the picture, doesn't it? Just like Nikolas, Elizabeth will be lost although I'm not seeing the crazy widow this time. Does this RUMOR tie into the ones where Jason has no choice but to claim his son? Elizabeth will be presumed dead after a search.  Will this tie into Sweeps? RUMORS say that Elizabeth finds her way back in November and finds her boys with Jason.There are some online RUMBLINGS that while the basics of the above are true, there MAY be a little Fan Fic added in. Congratulations to General Hospital's Rick Springfield (Noah Drake/Eli Love).  His latest CD, Venus in Overdrive, debuted at No. 28 his highest debut in over 20 years! Springfield tells People.com: "I haven't been this excited about a new record since the '80s," Springfield tells PEOPLE. "I'm a loner in my private life, so the party animal only comes out on stage. That's really my connection to people."

Just a quick reminder for all you Rick Springfield fans.  Back in May we reported that Springfield would be singing a new song from his upcoming CD Venus in Overdrive.

Fan Favorite Couple, Robin and Patrick!  We've talked about Kimberly McCullough and Jason Thompson's contracts before and at one time it was said that both actor's contracts were coming up soon.  Not true according to the actors at a recent fan event.  Both Jason and Kimberly are on contract with General Hospital through next fall. 

Jason Thompson has also been RUMORED to have spoke with a fan regarding other opportunities outside of General Hospital.  He says being on the daytime sudser has given industry peeps the chance to see him in action and a few doors have opened because of it.  Remember there was an OLD RUMOR that a GH'er had auditioned for a pilot.  READ MORE

Luke got a tip...it's in the Forums... and Rick Springfiled (Noah Drake/Eli Love, GH) himself confirmed the news during a recent concert in Milwaukee.  He's headed back to General Hospital!  According to Rick, he'll be back for three months and singing his new song "What's Victoria's Secret."  It looks like Eli Love and Noah Drake will both be returning to Port Chuck!
