'Greek' Actress Jhoanna Flores Debuts as Adriana Next Week on The Young and the Restless

Noah Newman's (Robert Adamson) troublemaking, New York-based main squeeze Adriana hits Genoa City next Friday, Jan. 4 on The Young and the Restless.  Actress Jhoanna Flores (Greek, Criminal Minds) has snagged the plum role. With all of these fresh, new faces, this show just might start to resemble its title!

Jack Abbott Makes Moves Like Jagger on The Young and the Restless

Victor’s (Eric Braeden) former office sans self-portrait was a thoroughfare of traffic as Neil (Kristoff St. John), Billy (Billy Miller), Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) and Abby (Marcy Rylan) all paraded in and out of Jack’s (Peter Bergman) new corporate digs. In his continued good mood, Jack offered Neil the job of Jabot CEO and Phyllis a position at Newman. He also turned down Abby’s 500 million dollar proposal to return Newman Enterprises to Victor.

While it was Jack who was making moves like Jagger, Billy wasn’t happy to discover his brother had offered Neil the top job at Jabot. Billy told Jack that it is their family’s company and he should be in charge of it. When Jack pushed back and said he wanted Billy to help him build a new Abbott legacy, I noticed Billy did his best to hide his anger.

Hunter Haley King and Robert Adamson to Go From Hollywood Heights' Teen Lovers to Young and Restless Siblings!

Following in the grand tradition of Jane Elliot and Wally Kurth, who played adulterous lovers on Days of Our Lives before appearing as mother and son on General Hospital, a Hollywood Heights teen couple is about to play sibs on The Young and the Restless! Hunter Haley King, who portrays Adriana opposite Robert Adamson's Phil on HH, has been cast as Noah Newman's little sister Summer on Y&R.

Hollywood Heights' Robert Adamson Cast as Noah on The Young and the Restless!

Looks like I'm two for two on Wishful Castings of late! First my suggestion that Everybody Hates Chris teen heartthrob Tequan Richmond take over the role of TJ on General Hospital became a reality; now The Young and the Restless has cast Hollywood Heights' hunk Robert Adamson as the new Noah Newman!  Here's the casting scoop from the Soap Opera Digest Facebook Page:

That was fast. YOUNG AND RESTLESS has already cast the next actor to take over the role of Noah Newman, last played by Kevin Schmidt. He's Robert Adamson, who just wrapped up a run on Nickelodeon's HOLLYWOOD HEIGHTS as Phil. Adamson, who beings taping on September 4 and will first air on October 1, will work again with HH's former Executive Producer Jill Farren Phelps and Head Writer Josh Griffith, who now hold the same posts respectively on Y&R. Wishful Casting: Hollywood Heights' Robert Adamson as Noah Newman on The Young and the Restless

Kevin G. Schmidt has all but revealed The Young and the Restless is recasting his role yet again. While I hate to see anyone lose a gig, I can't help but think about all the possibilities an edgier Noah Newman would provide the series.

I think new Y&R executive producer Jill Farren Phelps should look no further than the cast of her fun, limited-run, Nick-at-Nite sudser Hollywood Heights to fill the role of the Newman heir. While the younger-skewing Hollywood Heights boasts several talented, hunky, young guys who would potentially fit well in Genoa City, my money is on Robert Adamson.

Adamson plays sexy, rule-breaker Phil Sanders on the English-language telenovela. In case the above pictures don't illustrate the point well enough, Adamson could almost be a younger doppelganger for Joshua Morrow, who plays Noah's dad Nick Newman on Y&R.

Imagine Adamson's version of Noah clashing with his dad — who decides it's time Noah gave up his musical pipe dreams and came to work for Newman Enterprises. Meanwhile, a rebellious Noah turns to his Uncle Adam (Michael Muhney) for the funds to keep his and Devon's (Bryton James) desires of becoming the next Timberlake and Timbaland a reality.
