10 Best Soap Opera Newbies of 2013

No. 10: Robert Scott Wilson, All My Children

All My Children's casting department won the showcase showdown when they found The Price is Right model Robert Scott Wilson for the role of Petey, err, Pete Cortlandt. Wilson brought charisma, charm, maturity and one killer bod to the part of Palmer (the late James Mitchell) and Opal's (Jill Larson) son.

Not even Wilson could save Pete's insipid relationship with virginal Celia (Jordan Lane Price) on the internet soap. However, the digital sparks Wilson and fellow outstanding newbie Brooke Newton created when Pete and Colby were sexing up our second screens, had us needing to download an app for cooling down our laptops, tablets and smartphones.  READ MORE

One Life to Live's Robert Gorrie: "Memories Go on 'Shelves"

One Life to Live's Robert Gorrie (Matthew) has weighed in on Prospect Park "shelving' One Life to Live and All My Children. Gorrie tweeted:

A Baby Mama, A Hurricane Named Dani or A Catfish: Who Should Matthew Be With on One Life to Live? (POLL)

One Life to Live’s Matthew Buchanan (Robert Gorrie) is a bit of a man-about-town. His baby mama Destiny (Laura Harrier) claims she no longer has feeling for him. However, she almost got into a catfight with Dani (Kelley Missal) over him this week.

Speaking of Hurricane Dani, she claims to have his best interest in heart, but we’ve all seen the way she looks at him. Dani wants Matthew, even if she won’t admit it. I wouldn’t be surprised if she one day channels Halle Berry in Monster’s Ball by telling Matthew, “I want you to make me feel good!”

Then there is Michelle (Amber Skye Noyes), Matthew’s mysterious catfish. It's obvious he's sotted with the fire-haired maiden.

Matthew Gets Into His Catfish's Tackle Box on One Life to Live

Matthew (Robert Gorrie) got upset with Hurricane Dani (Kelley Missal) for wanting to tell him about Michelle (Amber Skye Noyes) working at the hotel. After Matthew left the room in a huff, she turned to Jeffrey (Corbin Bleu) and demanded to know how she ended up the bad guy in the situation.

Dorian (Robin Strasser) woke David (Tuc Watkins) up by dumping water on him. She then proceeded to rip of the documents he’d made for his big TV meeting. Dorian demanded to know how long he’d been sleeping with Rama (Shenaz Treasury). David said he wasn't. READ MORE

Forget The NSA or PRISM, Todd is Watching Llanview on One Life to Live

Matthew (Robert Gorrie) dropped by Bo (Robert S. Woods) and Nora’s (Hillary B. Smith) with his laundry, and to share a meal. What he didn’t realize is the meal was a set up for him to spend time with Destiny (Laura Harrier). Matthew didn’t seem too happy when Destiny showed up at the door. The two started arguing about Drew.

Matthew called David (Tuc Watkins) to come by as reinforcements. David didn’t want to, because he was going to show Dorian (Robin Strasser) moves “he learned on the internet.” When he hung up with Matthew, David asked Dorian to come with him. All of a sudden, the family dinner got a whole lot bigger.

Why did I feel bad for Matthew? He’s a deadbeat dad, but yet, I still felt empathy for the situation his parents keep putting him in.

Todd (Roger Howarth) dropped by Shelter to visit Blair (Kassie DePaiva), who didn’t have time for him. However, he insisted he had something he needed to show her. READ MORE
