Young and Restless Alum Vail Bloom Stars in Choose-Your-Own-Adventure Web Series For Unilever and NBC Universal!By Jamey Giddens on May 21, 2012
So I was catching an episode of Watch What Happens Live on Bravo, and during the commercial break I saw a familiar face in what appeared to be a typical hair commercial. It was former The Young and the Restless star Vail Bloom (ex-Heather) modeling hair for Clear, a new scalp and beauty line from Unilever!
After watching the commercial—which encouraged me to find out what happened next—I quickly went to Bravo's website to investigate further. There I learned the spot is part of a branded content, choose-your-own-adventure web series, created by Unilever, in conjunction with Bravo's parent company NBC Universal.
In the spots, Bloom plays Chloe, a girl who is standing in line with a dude named Logan. Both are waiting to get into Clear, an exclusive nightclub, which boasts Giuliana Rancic as the door person. The E! star isn't really the one who decides which wannabe's hair is awesome enough to get into Clear, though. I do! I mean...you do! You, the person watching the video.
Once inside the club, you get to continue choosing adventures for fab-headed Chloe or Logan. A myriad of NBC Universal stars appear along your journey, including Bravo V.P. and Watch What Happens Live host Andy Cohen, 30 Rock's Jane Krakowski and former SNL comic Tim Meadows. Each week NBC Universal and Unilever will release new webisodes on such platforms as E! Online, BravoTV.com, DailyCandy. Cute concept! Watch the initial 15-second commercial below.
The Bold and the Beautiful’s Ashley Jones and former The Young and the Restless star Vail Bloom popped up at the QVC Red Carpet Style Party at the Four Seasons Hotel in Los Angeles on February 25. One Life to Live guest star Kourtney Kardashian and Glee’s Jessalyn Gilsig were also among the stars that turned out for the bash. Check out photos after the jump.
As much as she loves Y&R and was honored to be on the No. 1 rated soap, and loved the opportunity to play the character of Heather, she felt it was time to pursue other projects.
Thanks to beautreal for the tip!
